9:07 I like that it's Raya, Rapunzel, and Jasmine, since they're all very active princesses with canonically established aerial elements. Rapunzel flings and swings through her surroundings with her hair, and Jasmine soaring and diving on the flying carpet, and Raya's martial arts and her established aerial elements earlier the show itself. Having those be the princessess that flying around in the air is really cool. It's very active to those Princessess which is subconsciously less jarring than if Snow White or Belle just went _shooting into the air_ like Team Rocket.
I'm pretty sure the Aladdin 'costume change' is actually a completely different skater who's already wearing the new costume. You can see him come out at like 6:01 I think that's how the magicians do it in their acts too though, and it looks pretty well done
I really hope they bring this show to the UK, it's so refreshing to see the Frozen bit with new costumes and a new song and I love seeing newer princesses especially Tiana.
I love that “castle” a lot. I just watch it with “Wish” segment and the show was so good. It’s wondrous is my favorite song after watching Wondrous Journeys and hear it again in this show with special version was amazing. The way Mickey appear in the opening was so cool feel like Fantasmic but he run up instead of elevator. I rate this 9/10. If they got the Beast transformation from “Find Your Hero” because it is the best transformation I have ever seen when the Beast go up stairs and fall back to behind while the prince got pulled up very fast. it would be 10/10 🥹
We are going in November and I can’t wait. It’s Encanto and Frozen. I absolutely love the skating in the show and Disney has really added a lot with aerial stunts that in some ways it’s a discount Cirque Du Solei but in the best way possible.

While watching this video I cried seeing Jasmine’s and Aladdin’s skating together-and seeing Cinderella in her pink dress! I did not expect that. It was really touching seeing the most emotional moment of Cinderella brought to life on ice. Gorgeous. 😭 did not expect this video to have me crying and needing to take off my glasses and wipe my eyes 😂😂😂😂 thank you for sharing with us. the director’s words were also very wholesome and it’s always nice to be reminded that we each matter individually too, that we’re all stars, because I don’t know about y’all but for me it’s a bad habit to shrink down and away and miss out on good things 😂😂😂😂 so these messages really touch my heart
Am I the only one dissatisfied that no one approved the idea of bringing Sisu to the ice with a Chinese Dragon/lion puppet? That would bring Asian representation to life!
Random opinion time: Raya is probably the worst Disney movie. It has a moral that falls flat on its' face for it basically says you have to trust literally everyone you meet and if you don't it's because you never _give them the chance,_ the problem is that the moral is given to a character who literally had every right not to trust someone and that person (Namari) betrayed that trust.
One thing I was so impressed by with Frozen (the First) on ice was how good the storytelling was. It was slightly rearranged in a way that tightened up the plot, made it more focused, added much needed ensemble, and fixed the pacing issues. I know it’s a lot shorter than the movie, buuuut I think this just goes to show the movie could have cut a solid 30 minutes and it would have been better lol. Kudos to the creative team on ice!
I always love the Disney On Ice shows [my childhood memories are fuzzy, but I remember loving the Disney on Ice early/mid 2000s show and the Playhouse Disney live show], but I feel like they need to get even more bigger and even more unique. What if obscure characters, such as the Atlantis, Treasure Planet, and Black Cauldron [yes, I know the movie is kinda disliked, I personally like it and I think it should be represented anyway] characters were added? Or even better, OSWALD THE LUCKY RABBIT at Disney on Ice! Admittedly the trailer for the Once Upon A Studio crossover short has me hyperfixated on Disney crossovers [Bring back House of Mouse!], but I do enjoy watching Disney on Ice. On a different note, my mom remembers going to Disney World in the mid 80s, and remembers the Black Cauldron characters having walkarounds and even a restaurant [Gurgi's Munchies and Crunchies] for a brief period of time. Pictures of anything Black Cauldron in Disney parks are rare, and I hope one day we'll get more pictures of the park stuff and foreign "Le Journal De Mickey" Black Cauldron comics on Disney Wiki, so I can show my mom. She also introduced me to a LOT of classic Disney cartoons, like Gummi Bears and the OG Ducktales.
I love Disney On Ice. As a kid my Grandma would take me every year when it came to our area. I looked forward to Disney On Ice day just as much (if not more so) than my birthday or Christmas. I wish the Disney company would give it more love. It's amazing seeing all the moves the skaters can pull off. I can barely stand up on ice skates let alone do half of what they do.
The best thing about Disney shows is that we are always included as the heroes of the story. I just think that is magical! Fourth wall breaks such as that are just so inclusive. Really does make the show more special!
Finally Frozen 2, Raya, Cars is finally in Disney On Ice! Even The Fab 5 Is Complete (Even Pluto that Only Appear on Finale in this Show) But I do Hope This show will Tour In the Philippines in the Future because this Year it was Roadtrip Adventures.
I hope Atlantis and Treasure planet will have a number on the ice. It would be cool! Jim could fly on his solar-surf and do flips, Milo can be on the fish ship while Kida battles some guards. There's no love song but it would be cute to see both of them skating hand in hand 🥰
When I was growing up it was a yearly tradition for my family to go and see Disney on ice here in Australia. I loved it so much. I liked it better when I was a kid though because they did one full story from start to finish instead of multiple stories in small segments
This is gonna sound random but am I the only one who is annoyed by how Disney themselves keeps misrepresenting Princess and the Frog? They keep acting like Tiana has ALWAYS BEEN a Princess since day 1 when, no, she wasn't. She wore that blue dress for a party; and it was only at the end that she marries Prince Naveen.
Other than watching my daughter enjoy the show, my favorite part of Disney on Ice might have to be the pre-recorded dialogue playing over the skaters’ dramatic gestures. Such grade A cheese. But the actual skating and stunts are incredible!!
I’ve never been, as a 38 year old goth man, I’d feel weird going alone, so if anyone in Wales wants to come with me next time it’s in Cardiff, let me know!

Update: The show was Magic in the Stars! I didn't even know that until I got there. IT really is exactly how Dan describes is and I had an amazing time!
Also I have a recommendation for y’all if you’re gonna see Disney on Ice: instead of buying the glowing plastic whatever they sell at the booths, instead I recommend you buy a glowstick that can you can change to different colors at will, such as the type used at Japanese concerts. I own one from an anime con and I use it whenever I go to DoI, like waving it around to the music.
