The actor playing The Grinch is absolutely brilliant I like how he just goes along with it. The Mayor, Shaggy and Fiona are good too.
Even though that the characters cannot talk you can definitely can talk and make the characters talk by using your voice now that’s magic.
This makes my innerchild part of myself feel better. Brings back memories when I was a kid.

It's so funny because I feel that Universal allows their actors to really embrace their characters in ways I don't think Disney's actors are allowed to. I almost feel like they are better in some ways than many of the characters at Disney (the Grinch, Fiona, Donkey, and Optimus Prime are prime examples of this- like WOW!).
I like to believe they are less upright about things.
One reason why I think Universal CRUSHES Disney is this alone!

Feels a lot less loose compared to Disney’s character rules. Makes them feel a lot more authentic and accurate to the source material

I do like that most of the people that are not in full suits can actually do their voice impression well, makes me feel good
To be casted as a character in the Universal theme parks and in Disney's resorts the individuals have to be able to talk like several characters and resemble a character if it's a human character , the parks have a lot of key things they look for in the actors and actresses during casting to match them up with what character they will play as during work , being able to talk like the made up character is important cause they have to interact with thousands of people day after day and the voice needs to be very realistic.

The person playing Olive Oyl just cracks me up, she's basically doing a live action version of a wacky 20s cartoon. She seems like she's having a lot of fun with it.
Looks more like she was portraying the movie version of Olive originally played by Shelley Duvall, since Popeye looked similar to the late and great Robin Williams' Popeye.

I love how close to authentic the Mayor and Grinch are.
Part of me wonders if character stars in those full suits can laugh inside them, or if the mask/helmet thing wouldn't be effective enough at blocking the sound.
Even if they were soundproof enough I bet they would wheeze so hard you could get them

CPCoulterTweedles I can’t speak for the Universal ones but with the Disney ones whenever they blow a kiss they make a kissing sound and you can always hear it so for Disney suits they would have to say quiet
Just as in Disney World, they can't. It ruins the magic and takes the illusion away.

Optimus is amazing and it's cute
1: the dinosaur didn’t move like a robot. Had a much more fluid movement to it than mechanical. 2: the donkey head freaked me out how it not only blinked but genuinely responded to him and didn’t have answers on loop like they did with mater. 3: I seriously thought max was a robot until the trainer gave him a treat after he left. I’ve never seen a dog sit so still and move so little

I had the best interaction with the Suess characters! My son was in a wheelchair when we went and thing one and two carried him to a bench because he didn’t wanna take the pic with the chair. Sam and Lorax did the same thing! I cried and went to guest services to tell them how they made our day!

I imagine they take amazing care of the dog and give it regular breaks and food and water, I really hope they take good care of it. I didn’t think it was an actual dog until someone fed it.
