I love the Dream Matte Foundation. I have been using it since 2010. It is the only foundation that I can build up to full coverage and doesn't slide off or feel heavy on my excessively oily skin. I just ordered the iT cosmetics bye bye foundation kit and looking forward to trying that out. I currently use the Dream Matte Mouse in honey beige level 4.
Melissa Windsor the iT foundation was a total fail. It looked greasy and melted off my face by the end of day. I will stick with my Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse until they discontinue it like every other Mabelline foundation that I have loved.
I have to disagree about the it foundation. So far it has been the best foundation I have ever used. It is long lasting and doesn't settle into fine lines. This matte stuff looked like it was caked on and felt very heavy on my face. I'm going to stick to the it foundation
I LOVE this foundation. It makes me feel airbrushed. I use a flat top brush too, an elf kabuki just slightly bigger than urs with no handle. I dot it over my face with my fingers first and then buff it in with the brush. It takes no time and blends flawlessly. Ive tried many liquid foundations an never found one that comes close aside from the Marc Jacobs Shameless Youthful Look which is wayyy too expensive for me and I actually prefer Dream Matte Mousse.
I've been wary of mousse foundation since I also have combination skin, with dry areas in the same places. This makes me want to try it. Great video, lots of helpful tips!
I'm not sure why people hate this so much. I adore it, I used it in my teens & 20s. I'm 35 & I've just gone back to it, still love it as much as I did all those years ago!
I use this mousse....... I have dry skin. it caked at first but then I figured scrubbing my face helped and I also apply little baby oil before applying mousse that gives it that dewy finish
Thanks so much for the advice because I’ve been frustrated because I rlly like the product the only thing is that is gets cakey and attatches to my dry spots, so I’ve been trying to figure out a way to wear it as someone with dry skin
This is my first foundation I Ave and still using it everytime I attend an event. I found this quite cover the blemishes as my skin is combination to oily and I have dark spots. Thanks for the tips!
The wife just bought this product and loves it. She uses a small makeup wedge and applies it in small amounts and loves the finish. A little goes a long way.
i use dream matte mousse for over 10yrs now. i've tried other (liquid) foundations but i just never liked how they look/feel on my skin. i like it as natural as possible. this is the first time i googled it and i didn't know that people don't like it.. and i couldn't care less cause i love everything about it ;) i actually wanted to see how other people apply it because i'm always just using my fingers.. while i have exactly this RT buffing brush but never used it lol (why?!). i'm gonna try this out asap. thanks for the video. XoXo from switzerland
psylanja I have been using this for over ten years too and I was shocked that it didn’t become an hg product for more people. It’s basically like a blurring primer and foundation in one. I’ve found that it looks best when applied with the fingers...but I plan to revisit applying with a brush and beauty sponge just for an updated test.
I love this foundation too. I've spent a lot of money using high end foundations but it's only Dream Matte Mousse which gives me a full coverage - I have heavy freckles and it's the only one to give me a blank canvas without caking.
I love this foundation as well! have been using it for about 7 years now. Tried others but always end up coming back to it. It's not greasy and doesn't make me break out like others. I use no7 beautiful skin day cream first then maybelline's master contour then finally rimmel London's stay matte pressed powder. Don't know why but I always used my fingers to apply it, just tried with a brush and looks like it will last a lot longer now thanks so much xxx
Hello Rachel...loved your simple presentation of my beloved Dream Matte Mousse.. You're so pretty...Stay blessed...PS. Are you using a Techniques brush? looks great
It's funny. Maybelline Dream Mousse is basically a pore-filling primer with pigment but all the makeup "gurus" spend a fortune on primer and expensive foundations separately.
Melanie Chapman I was just thinking the same thing!! The dream mousse reminds me a lot of Benefit’s Porefessional and Cover FX’s blurring/mattifying primer (all have the same main ingredient). I love blurring/filling primers so the dream mousse foundation is a dream come true for me, it’s basically 2 in 1. During my oily years this was my hg foundation (before primers even existed) and I still keep it in at 3 different shades now, I’m always nervous it will be discontinued. I’ve used a plethora of high end foundations and the dream mousse still remains one of my faves. I never understood why other people didn’t rave about it like I did.
My favourite foundation is Le Touché Eclat Le Teint by YSL but I remember having this foundation as a teen and the colour was off because I’m super pale. That’s the only downside of it. I liked the formula of a mousse and love the finish but because of poor shade range it wasn’t what I was looking for. The Touché Eclat one makes my skin super radiant and healthy! But it’s sooo expensive 😩 haha You can’t go wrong with Maybelline it’s a great brand the prices are right and the quality is there.
Thanks for the awesome video! Which mousse foundation you prefer, besides this Maybelline? Max Factor/Covergirl whipped creme, Revlon Colorstay whipped creme, Essence soft touch mousse, something else? How about making a comparison test between them? :-) I have used mousse foundations since forever, but just recently discovered to apply them with brush! Better late than never, huh :-D
Anna Lehtinen I've actually not tried any other mousse foundations sorry, I use liquid the majority of the time just because I find it quickest for building up coverage. Yes, definitely better later than never :-P x
Hi, I Loved your video and this mouse is my favourite too!! I do get dry patches and i also want to know where can I purchase Kiko wipes I tried look for in boots and superdrug but I guess they don't have these. I would really appericiate if you can let me know where can I get this from.😆 Thank you
Nice video. You seem to be a regular user of this mousse, I have the same mousse since 2011. It has now stopped giving me that covered look. Do u think It is expired now? It didn't had any expiry date. But I use it just for parties or weddings cause I don't do makeup usually. Please help.
+Tasha Evans I think it has expired; as soon as a product changes colour/smell or the way it performs then it's a sign it's gone bad. Luckily it's an affordable foundation so getting a new one won't be too bad. xx
Hi. Grt video. Seems it is working on you very well. Could you telle why it enters my pores and make it look patchy.maybe I am missing something can you let me know
this is my go to foundation in the same shade but it looks a bit pink on me God knows what colour I am some other foundations look orange maybe I'm neutral problem is I have a lot of freckles and I think it throws of colours matching
bought my first mousse type foundation but i didnt know how to apply it. thanks for putting up this video! im so lucky that i just bought the RT brush set that comes with the buffer brush which u are using too!^^ just curious to know if mousse type foundation will tend to cause break outs for acne prone skin?
I don't know what shade you would need, I am only familiar with my shade. You can use it with dry skin as long as you prepare your skin - exfoliate and intense moisturiser!
I was disappointed when a girl who was doing my makeup at school (I attend beauty school) totally bashed this foundation because it was crumbly or whatever. Regardless, I still love this foundation. I use the shade Nude, Light #4
she starts applying at 2:27
Carol mah ahahha thanks

I love the Dream Matte Foundation. I have been using it since 2010. It is the only foundation that I can build up to full coverage and doesn't slide off or feel heavy on my excessively oily skin. Kelli Downing how did the it foundation work out?
Melissa Windsor the iT foundation was a total fail. It looked greasy and melted off my face by the end of day. I will stick with my Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse until they discontinue it like every other Mabelline foundation that I have loved.

it's my all time favorite foundation.
having SPF it's additional quality
Umera Khan y what's the price of this foundation??
Muhammad Azhar I got mine for £8 :)
Definitely my favorite foundation. I've never broken out using it and I found if I use my fingers, it covers areas that are red from acne better.
I LOVE this foundation. It makes me feel airbrushed. I use a flat top brush too, an elf kabuki just slightly bigger than urs with no handle. This foundation looks amazing on you! Your skin looks flawless! I’m gonna try!
I've been wary of mousse foundation since I also have combination skin, with dry areas in the same places. This makes me want to try it. Great video, lots of helpful tips!
Kate Smith thanks :-) hope you get on well with it if you try it!
I'm not sure why people hate this so much. I adore it, I used it in my teens & 20s. I'm 35 & I've just gone back to it, still love it as much as I did all those years ago!

"Nothing rhymes with Rachel" I love that.
I've been using this for years!! It is my main go to foundation and I love it!!! I pray they never discontinue it!!
Me too!
You have so much natural beauty 😍 I wish my eyes looked like that naturally
Love this for my 71 yr old skin. Covers well and is lightweight.
This is my first foundation I Ave and still using it everytime I attend an event. I found this quite cover the blemishes as my skin is combination to oily and I have dark spots. Thanks for the tips!

Thanks so much for watching, I hope you like applying it with a brush when you try it! :-)
I find it easier to apply with fingers aswell

It's the only foundation I use and I love it!!
and dude your eye colour is wonderful
vesper vesper hmm she is so preety with Greece godess like features n those aqua blue eyes 😍
This foundation is the bomb. WG tends to dislike 99% of the drugstore products that most of us can afford.
+Kate Lundberg I've learnt a lot from him over the years but disagree with him on lots too :-P
The brush applies it soo much better i need to try this out for myself :P xx
+Becky Wells Let me know if you liked it :-P xx
I love this foundation too. I've spent a lot of money using high end foundations but it's only Dream Matte Mousse which gives me a full coverage - I have heavy freckles and it's the only one to give me a blank canvas without caking.

It’s my fave foundation, thanks for the tips
It's my fav foundation as well 👍🏼

It's funny. Maybelline Dream Mousse is basically a pore-filling primer with pigment but all the makeup "gurus" spend a fortune on primer and expensive foundations separately.
That's so true!!
Melanie Chapman oo
I never have a pore problem with this..ever...but with every other promise, no deliverance!

Best foundation I ever used.
But can't find it in India.
Is there any dupe for this foundation available In market.
thank you! this foundation always balls up on me if I rub too much...I have the same brush i'll try next! you are beautiful!
What types of blush or bronzer can u use with mouse foundation?
You resemble monalisa🙂
Your eyes are beautiful. Thanks for the review
Would this be good for combination skin?
Yep! I have combo skin x
This is my diehard foundation I love it

yeah i think i should get a new one. Thanks xx :)
Hi. Grt video. Seems it is working on you very well. Could you telle why it enters my pores and make it look patchy.maybe I am missing something can you let me know
avantika jaiswal a pore-filling primer might help!
I just love this product.
Hi, so if I buy this mousse foundation, I don't have to buy the liquid one? (Fit me)
thanks alot , you are a great help , u have bought a few , love your techniques
Thanks for watching!
this is my go to foundation in the same shade but it looks a bit pink on me God knows what colour I am some other foundations look orange maybe I'm neutral problem is I have a lot of freckles and I think it throws of colours matching

just curious to know if mousse type foundation will tend to cause break outs for acne prone skin?
Maybelline is the best. I really love the mouse.. works perfectly for me.
Which shade is a natural tan-ish colour? i got vanilla 16 and its a bit light but i still love it and use it, once i bronze it fixes it.
I'm sorry, not familiar with all the shades, only know my own
My Grandma has that foundation! I'm proud of her lol 😂
Aha
which powder did you use under your eyes?
It was probably Ben Nye Cameo powder; I tend to just use whatever I'm using on the rest of my face! x
Which skin type is best for Maybelline mousse
Mrym Qureshi I would say normal to oily as it can make any patches of dry skin show up.
I have dry patch on my face and I have dry skin also. can I use this product and my skin tone is yellowish so which shade I chose for me
I don't know what shade you would need, I am only familiar with my shade. You can use it with dry skin as long as you prepare your skin - exfoliate and intense moisturiser!
I try to avoid moisturizer on my chin since it breaks it out.. even the oil free kind
I used to have this and I hated it, but this makes me want to give it another go :) xx
+Hannwinn Yeah it's crazy, I know so many people who hate it. Let me know if you try it again and like/dislike it xx
What's the brush called, I couldn't catch it in the vid? Can I hey it online?
Buy*
+Jazzy Ziggy it's the Real Techniques Buffing Brush. I think you can only get it as part of their core set. Should easily be able to get it online!
+NothingRhymesWithRachel wow, fastest reply from a RUclipsr ever :D Thanks heaps!!
i bought mine on ebay. u can get sets or single brushes.
+psylanja great idea, thanks!
How to use dried mousse foundation? I bought it 2 years ago, now it has dried up. How can I use it now?
I don't think you can really use it now. If you tried to rehydrate it, it wouldn't be a mousse any more and would probably go runny.
omg how did i not know about your youtube! :D love it!
+CAT4774CK Thanks! I'm so bad at promoting my channel, I hate advertising myself :-/
your eyes😍
Thanks
why not use a foundation brush? i always use a foundation brush with this foundation, maybe thats what im doing wrong
your voice is so nice
i hv same but it doesnot give full coverage
Yeah it's definitely medium coverage.
lol forgot to say love ur video very laid back I wish u success
Thank you so much!
You have beautiful eyes
which shade u use ?
I use Light Porcelain:-)
Thanks Mariam
I'm a beginner at foundation so I fucked up but after watching this video I know what I did wrong
Glad it helped!
hi rachel, im also rachel. found myself here 8 years later
is it okay for oily skin?
+MASZ AYIE I have oily skin, yes! In fact I think it's best suited to normal to oily skin.
Thank u. I bought maybelline liquid mousse about 3 months ago but it made my skin more oily. But i never tried this one. I'll try it too. .
You are so beautiful so you don't need any foundation at all.
Beautiful eyes
Just perfect maybelline mouse

Love from Pakistan
You are so pretty 💕😗😚
U r already so cute
I was disappointed when a girl who was doing my makeup at school (I attend beauty school) totally bashed this foundation because it was crumbly or whatever. Regardless, I still love this foundation. I use the shade Nude, Light #4
Yeah it's strange, a lot of people don't like it all
you don't use a brush to apply the mousse. you will use the whole thing trying to do that. put it on the face first, then blend
Can I do it with a beauty blender will that make it look cakey.? I'm new to makeup please help me!
Dead Rose I find it's difficult to get the mousse to stick to a beauty blender. It may work for you though! I definitely prefer a brush
In Germany are not much shades :(
Just 4 or 5
So I hope cameo is for my face okay :/
I have an oily and light face
+xxexx ko That's such a shame. I think everywhere should have access to the same shade range! xx
Гле можно купить в Алмате
هو بكام Dream
this foundation doesn't give full coverage for me!!!!😐😢
no, it's definitely medium coverage at best. I'm not sure you'll ever get full coverage from a mousse foundation unfortunately xx
haha maam you are already beauty queen
she stops applying at 3:20
U r so beautiful mam
hi iam new Ashley cayton hi good video 😀
You look like me
You are so cute
What sucks about this makeup is it easily comes off hug someone and that's it...kat von d. Doesn't
bee love that is unfortunately a problem I have with all foundations, even my Kat Von D one!
NothingRhymesWithRachel oh my...try urban decay setting spray
Also transclucent powder
I have really bad skin...and kat von d has been the best to stay on my skin.
bee love I use powder and setting spray every day. I think it happens because I'm quite oily and my foundation just starts to break up. Oh well
You remind me of mona lisa
she looks like sarah (buzzfeed)
Its soooo horrible. Makes me look old and dry and sticks on like a layer you want gone.
Bagel Angel blah blah rhymes with Rachel
boring.
Beautiful eyes
