PC Gaming is also the sunk cost fallacy, spend thousands on a rig for very little advantage over consoles, they always use the same gotcha cards too- the free online card? maybe if your mum pays the broadband bill lol so that’s out, better visuals card, yet most don't even have 4k and hdr so no, better performance card? Nope this is almost never the case, they never mention the negatives etc then they get upset because they were sold the lie and double down on it rather than admit they are wrong. The PS5 pro isn't for me but clearly the PC crowd feel threatened by it because they are fanboys for PC. Let's be real, the portion of PC gamers upset about the PS5 Pro are only mad because they paid a premium to have the technological advantage and a console mid gen refresh is forcing them to spend more than they wanted to stay at the front of the pack. If they truly cared about gaming then they would be excited anytime consoles advance because PCs benefit from all advancements on the consoles.

Upset about what? The PS5 has the equivalent of a low end zen2 cpu. It doesn't matter that they put a bigger gpu in the Pro, it will still struggle with a lot of games. All you will get from that console is slightly better graphics in games that already run well in the base ps5.

We're a little over 3 years into the generation that promised 4k/60fps and the console is already struggling HARD with some of the latest titles, specially those made in UE5. Now they're about to fall for the 4k/60 lie yet again, but this time is even worse because they already know what to expect.
Because about 85% of them have severely underpowered PCs which barely match a Playstation 4 in power. Most have PCs that are only on the level of a Playstation 3. It's why most of them keep screaming about supporting low powered indie games. Their PCs can't play current gen AAA games. How do I know all of this? My current gen gaming devices are a PC, a Playstation 5 and a Switch. My PC is considered "mid-range" (it has a RTX 2060 with 16 GB of ram and a nice CPU) and it's fully capable of running Xbox Series X console exclusives like Starfield in an acceptable way. Despite my PC being mid-range, it outperforms about 85% of everybody else's PC. I know this because I go on several different sites which compare my PC to others when they are trying to figure out if their PC can play a game and all of them say that my mid-range PC outperforms about 85% of everyone else. The truth is... PC gamers with high end PCs are pretty rare. Even people like me who have mid-range PCs make up the minority compared to all the PC gamers with lower end PCs which are barely at the level of a Playstation 4 and most don't have anything better than something that is at the level of a Playstation 3. That makes me wonder... If most of them are building those "Frankenstein used parts" budget PCs (which is a HORRIBLE idea for several reasons. So many problems will start to pop up in the long run if you build a low budget PC from used parts that are "Frankensteined" together). The truth is... A lot of them are jealous and want to take their anger out on console players. Anyway, I use my Playstation 5 to play Playstation 5 exclusives (all on PHYSICAL discs) like Stellar Blade, Rise of the Ronin, Astro Bot, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, R-type Final 3, and other games, and like playing multi-plats like Robocop Rogue City and several others on PS5 and PSVR2 games that have PHYSICAL copies like Star Wars: Tales from Galaxy's Edge: Enchanced Edition, Vertigo 2, and SEVERAL others (I own 21 PSVR2 physical games). The only digital PSVR2 games I own are the PSVR2 exclusives like Horizon Call of the Mountain, Dark Pictures: Switchback and Synapse. Also... My Switch gets used for Nintendo exclusives like Super Mario Wonder, Metroid Dread, etc. Finally... My PC gets primarily used for "Adult games" (games that will NEVER appear on console since the ESRB would never allow it since they are way above a rated M) and the Xbox Series console exclusives like Starfield, the NEW Forza Motorsport, etc, and VR games that aren't on PSVR2 like Half Life Alyx and "adult only" VR games that will never be allowed on consoles.

Exactly. Theres no need to spend over thousands of dollars. Upgrading to a gaming PC presents diminishing returns with the PS5 pro and PS6 giving you a much cheaper option for similar graphical fidelity with the help of AI. You'll have to spend at least 3000.$ for a similar experience as the PS5 pro, and you still have to deal with hardware failure when dealing with the factory lottery.

I also didn’t experience any issues using remote play with the PlayStation Barebone controller, so I imagine PS portal is a similar experience. Not the same experience on PC and PC handhelds. Lots of people had issues. That’s the difference.

You also have to include backwards compatibility, choice of device to play with (you don't think everyone on PC plays every game with a keyboard and mouse, do you?), mods to tweak the game or even make whole new ones out of it (I personally love total conversions for that last reason), or even just knowing there isn't a monthly or yearly bill to play online games. There is a LOT of reasons PC is actually better that have nothing to do with power of the machine, but everything to do with YOUR power over YOUR game.

I’m console only the only PC I got is the laptop my work gave me to work from home. In addition to that $777 I’d need a monitor, mouse and keyboard not to mention a copy of windows and a space to put it. Then there’s the big bit: GAMES I’d need to buy all my games again aaaand as I bought a PlayStation specifically I play PlayStation exclusives I’m not waiting a year - indefinitely for those games. So when Sony say “Hey you know that game you like that you can’t play anywhere else? We can give a better version if you buy the upgraded version of this box.” Yes sign me up!
As someone who has a pc now, i still prefer my ps5 so ya PC is a mess, the games are usually badly optimized, alot of times the games run better on console, I use it mainly for older games or Xbox games I wanna try which isn't many
@@MegabyteRedSector AMD 5600x paired with an RX6650 on an x570 board with 6tb of mostly NVME storage. I have one sata SSD. then a gigabyte 144hz 1440p monitor. Logitech m07 mouse and a Razer keyboard. I turn off the upscalers. My PC probably wouldn't do 4k very well. Also, one problem with the whole upscaling idea...one of the Devs literally said the PS5 pro could run their game, natively, at 4k120, and 8k60. BEFORE they coded it to use PSSR.

They PROMISED 4K at 120 FPS at the beginning of the generation... what you got instead was an UPSCALE to get 4K at about 30....which is not native. The PS5 pro will likely have little difference to be quite honest... maybe closer to medium settings. As for your specs, pretty close to my own, and I believe that performance... Im running at 1080 myself and get a solid 60 without upscaling on anything so far. (just what my monitor handles so what I play to).
Hey KingTrash I actually can "BUILD PCs" and have been since the year late 1999 all the way into the 2000s and I actually worked for some tech companies. Building a "PC" is useful for work purposes and doing school work and learning how to use certain software and video editing and web surfing however for "gaming" it's mainly useful for playing OLD games otherwise it's a money pit designed by PC platform elitists and corporate shills into wasting your time and money if you fall into the trap of "PC gaming" And it's worse since Steam was made cause you don't even own the games anymore... you need to log into the Steam servers just to be allowed to use the damn games you paid money for cause they've been promoting the digital download crap. Then you have the PC platform elitists who brag about modding games and hacking them... they never created the game and will never create a new game so all they do is promote PIRACY aka stealing games and changing them from buggy software release to retail. PC gaming used to be real in the late 90s and early 2000s until around 2008 when Crysis and Crysis Warhead were already out because piracy was rampant and Steam started dominated so people didn't own nothing they paid for plus your 3d cards became obsolete toasters fast. Something I don't see anyone talking about, but, without consoles, there would be NO PC gaming. Consoles were available to the public long before PC's were. Heck, Arcade games had better graphics than the first PC games. First console, available in the 1970's was a pong clone. Not playable on PC til 5+ years later Dude at 24:30 forgets, you can add more storage to the PS5 Pro too.... Another thing they forget in the "PS5 killer" PC's, the liquid metal for the CPU. PS5 has that, and, it IS considered the "best" thermal paste

That's why printer companies can sell ink subscriptions that turn off the printer if you print more then is allowed. That's why your car can actually have bleeding apps in that dashboard screen (and before that mechanics could plug an actual full on PC into it to read off statuses of the various systems... a specialized computer was there to communicate it). And so what about code being specific to a single device? The day of the micro-computer was like that... did you think the same version of Micro basic worked between a TRS-80 or an Apple IIe? Cause they didn't. Each had its own version with own specific system commands to call on their specific hardware. Im also gonna shoot down your IBM started the personal computer argument right here... they didn't. They were late to the scene. That's why unlike EVERY OTHER MACHINE ON THE MARKET, they had to license the parts from other companies and put it together, starting a standard others could use (hence the IBM clones) and the ability of other computer makers to use the same version of DOS on those clones. They had to catch up to the likes of Commadore and Tandy. Not that your goalpost moving from computers to home computers matters much on this one.... Pong was beaten out by Spacewar (written in 1962 for the PDP-1). Oh and the oscilliscope game you are talking about? That is not Pong, that's Tennis for Two and it was programmed in a lab on an analog computer... that's right.. Let's be honest consoles are pc's what people don't realize is the architecture of a console is specifically designed to play games. PC is able to play games but PCs were never specifically designed to play games. That's why consoles for the most part are more stabled. PC has too much other things running in the background.

I find it funny when these PC defends recommending 6 core several generations older CPUs...."StIlLllL CapABLe"... Sure buddy...until you play new games with DX12 engine and realize your bottlenecking that GPU (in that example used "7700 XT") severely from running at its full potential... An issue i had with a amd RX 6700 XT, until i upgraded to latest ryzen 8 core 5800X CPU (at that time).
He is 100% correct on why they havent sold out I work in this space for two decades so I know in detail how this works. So when it comes to these type of tech purchases the pre-orders are never tied to an order. So for example let's say Sony manufacturered 1 million consoles. Internally they will estimate how many of those will sale on PlayStation direct and how many are going to retail. Let's say they estimated 500,000 would sell on PlayStation direct and 500,000 to retail. If they sold 500k and blew through their estimated stock for PlayStation Direct they would just pull from their retail surplus which means retail will have less supply because they make more money selling directly to the consumer. This is why Sony staggered the retail pre-orders. So going back to my original point pre-orders are never tied to a device. It's tied to estimated inventory. This is why it sold out in many regions and then hours later there was more stock available. All that meant was they pulled from other allotments to have more pre-orders available for PlayStation Direct. I think people will be shocked at how little inventory retail has. Watch how target, Walmart and Best Buy sell out. Sony is saving their inventory for their own website because they make 100% of the money instead of 70-80% of the money than to sell at retail.

I love my pc and ps5 ,you have your points,it's a complicated matter.console is cost to performance ratio is unmatched dude,pc u can do more if you read forums and shit and have 3 applications that make your game better than console like reshade and Nvidia app or inspector...but the difference in visual or performance isn't a massive difference for the dollar u spend on your rig.tldr get both enjoy both and fuck Xbox.
I have pc and ps5 had my PS5 before i built my pc always been an PlayStation guy, built my first pc and was like ok. Toyal cost for everything like mouse keyboard and case power supply. Total was like 4k. Pc is a bit harder to play with, gotta do alot of research, when things mess up. PlayStation is plug and play. Dont care for the ps5 pro, again i had a 5 since almost day one. If i had to choose, ill pick PC for the simple fact thTa theres more games to play and explore that console will never have, but the console is just easier to handle, plug and play. Pc if you wanna tinker with games play all systems etc. console if you just want something that works no questions ask. Pc online gaming is free ps online gaming 10.59 a month.
Normal sensible take. And fact is consoles have been basically best budget PCs since last generation. They run on same chips and architectures. There is no way to get more bang for your buck than a console. They are compact, mass produced PCs.
As a PC Gamer with a 4090 GPU and Console Gamer, I preorder the PS5 Pro and the A.I. PSSR will be amazing, the problem is the PC Gamer Elitist they are in denial and not being honest, there is no way they can match the PS5 Pro price and that is what bothers them and something I don't get some PC Gamers don't even play on Consoles and they are complaining now that is weird.
Two years ago, I built a PC with a Ryzen 5800X, 32GB DDR4 RAM, a 1TB Gen 4 SSD, a 1TB Gen 3 SSD, and a second-hand RTX 3080 Ti for around $1,100. That’s a bit more than the PS5 Pro, but it outperforms it-and was built two years ago. Nowadays, you can easily build a PC with similar performance and cost, especially considering the PS5 Pro’s GPU is comparable to a 4070 or 6800. With the next generation of PC GPUs on the way, even lower-end cards like the upcoming 5060 will likely match the PS5 Pro in GPU-bound scenarios. For those still on last-gen consoles, the PS5 Pro makes sense, but it’s less appealing to anyone who already has a PS5 or a high-end PC with a card like the 4090, lol. You can definitely build a PC in similar price range $100-200 can be more but you are paying extra for ps5 pro either way.

PC parts are used as well as differing vendors! just a decent keyboard and mouse will cost $100+ depending on the make and brand!! FFS! and how many flashing lights etc! Playstation sourced parts are all PREMIUM! Playstation sourced and guaranteed!
Most people that make 500 to 700 dollar gaming pc systems are mostly doing it for a school, church, or a community center where they are most likely going to just be loading more older retro games on it that don't require that much hdr or gig storage space and where the children and staff probably won't do too much stuff that usually overclocks PC systems. Those "Gaming PCs" are probably only good for downloading maybe one or two big storage spaced games and maybe smaller racing games and all that. And they'll most likely start showing their age and need to have suggestive upgrades in maybe 4 to 6 years tops with noticeable frame skips. I'm not trying to be mean. I'm just telling it as it is.
I got a 4060 in my PC in good but I also got a ps5. I won't get a pro unless my PS5 fails me. I'm to impatient to wait for new PlayStation games to hit PC
Im glad i have a Switch, a PS5 and a Steam Deck because seeing how storage is at a premium, i buy my physical games on the Switch and PS5, but for the uncensored adult titles i have the Steam Deck ,and most of the games on my Steam account are low installs.

Now I take advantage of PlayStation exclusives and the best 3rd party on pc and steam sales on older stuff.

Sony's been smart this time around. The PS4 Pro was a niche product, so it'll be the PS5 Pro. They may as well charge good money for it, rich people will buy the PS5 Pro, for everyone else there's the regular PS5.

That’s just marketing, that’s nothing NEW. Technically speaking, the BASE PS5 and Series X advertise 8K on their boxes (which I think LITERALLY ONLY one or two games can ACTUALLY hit that target, but so long as there’s AT LEAST ONE, they can TECHNICALLY advertise the product as being “8K capable”). It’s kinda like how PS3 advertised itself as being capable of “1080p” even though a VERY SMALL NUMBER of games actually hit that resolution natively.
AMD has always been the winner! They have the Sony contract which is guaranteed money! They had guaranteed contracts with Sony for PS4 and PS4 Pro selling over 140M or whatever the numbers are, they have the contract with PS5 and Pro, they have the PS6 in the bag! They most likely have the Vita 2 and PSVR 3 contracts in the bag! NVIDIA is relying on features like DLSS, Sony is helping AMD with some of their branding and tech... Because about 85% of them have severely underpowered PCs which barely match a Playstation 4 in power. Most have PCs that are only on the level of a Playstation 3. It's why most of them keep screaming about supporting low powered indie games. Their PCs can't play current gen AAA games. How do I know all of this? My current gen gaming devices are a PC, a Playstation 5 and a Switch. My PC is considered "mid-range" (it has a RTX 2060 with 16 GB of ram and a nice CPU) and it's fully capable of running Xbox Series X console exclusives like Starfield in an acceptable way. Despite my PC being mid-range, it outperforms about 85% of everybody else's PC. I know this because I go on several different sites which compare my PC to others when they are trying to figure out if their PC can play a game and all of them say that my mid-range PC outperforms about 85% of everyone else.
The truth is...
PC gamers with high end PCs are pretty rare. Even people like me who have mid-range PCs make up the minority compared to all the PC gamers with lower end PCs which are barely at the level of a Playstation 4 and most don't have anything better than something that is at the level of a Playstation 3.
That makes me wonder...
If most of them are building those "Frankenstein used parts" budget PCs (which is a HORRIBLE idea for several reasons. So many problems will start to pop up in the long run if you build a low budget PC from used parts that are "Frankensteined" together).

I use my Playstation 5 to play Playstation 5 exclusives (all on PHYSICAL discs) like Stellar Blade, Rise of the Ronin, Astro Bot, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, R-type Final 3, and other games, and like playing multi-plats like Robocop Rogue City and several others on PS5 and PSVR2 games that have PHYSICAL copies like Star Wars: Tales from Galaxy's Edge: Enchanced Edition, Vertigo 2, and SEVERAL others (I own 21 PSVR2 physical games). The only digital PSVR2 games I own are the PSVR2 exclusives like Horizon Call of the Mountain, Dark Pictures: Switchback and Synapse.
Also...
My Switch gets used for Nintendo exclusives like Super Mario Wonder, Metroid Dread, etc.
Finally...
My PC gets primarily used for "Adult games" (games that will NEVER appear on console since the ESRB would never allow it since they are way above a rated M) and the Xbox Series console exclusives like Starfield, the NEW Forza Motorsport, etc, and VR games that aren't on PSVR2 like Half Life Alyx and "adult only" VR games that will never be allowed on consoles.
Because, RTX 3080 are 700 usd, and RTX 4080 are 1200 usd. Now imagine the RTX 5080

Exactly. Theres no need to spend over thousands of dollars. Upgrading to a gaming PC presents diminishing returns with the PS5 pro and PS6 giving you a much cheaper option for similar graphical fidelity with the help of AI. You'll have to spend at least 3000.$ for a similar experience as the PS5 pro, and you still have to deal with hardware failure when dealing with the factory lottery.

I also didn’t experience any issues using remote play with the PlayStation Barebone controller, so I imagine PS portal is a similar experience. Not the same experience on PC and PC handhelds. Lots of people had issues. That’s the difference.

You also have to include backwards compatibility, choice of device to play with (you don't think everyone on PC plays every game with a keyboard and mouse, do you?), mods to tweak the game or even make whole new ones out of it (I personally love total conversions for that last reason), or even just knowing there isn't a monthly or yearly bill to play online games.
There is a LOT of reasons PC is actually better that have nothing to do with power of the machine, but everything to do with YOUR power over YOUR game.

I’m console only the only PC I got is the laptop my work gave me to work from home. In addition to that $777 I’d need a monitor, mouse and keyboard not to mention a copy of windows and a space to put it. Then there’s the big bit: GAMES I’d need to buy all my games again aaaand as I bought a PlayStation specifically I play PlayStation exclusives I’m not waiting a year - indefinitely for those games. So when Sony say “Hey you know that game you like that you can’t play anywhere else? We can give a better version if you buy the upgraded version of this box.” Yes sign me up!

As someone who has a pc now, i still prefer my ps5 so ya PC is a mess, the games are usually badly optimized, alot of times the games run better on console, I use it mainly for older games or Xbox games I wanna try which isn't many
I know I prefer HZD and HFW on my PS5. Already on my 3rd playthrough on both. I have a mid level PC, it can handle 1440p but not 4k.

@@MegabyteRedSector AMD 5600x paired with an RX6650 on an x570 board with 6tb of mostly NVME storage. I have one sata SSD. then a gigabyte 144hz 1440p monitor. Logitech m07 mouse and a Razer keyboard.
I turn off the upscalers. My PC probably wouldn't do 4k very well.
Also, one problem with the whole upscaling idea...one of the Devs literally said the PS5 pro could run their game, natively, at 4k120, and 8k60. BEFORE they coded it to use PSSR.

They PROMISED 4K at 120 FPS at the beginning of the generation... what you got instead was an UPSCALE to get 4K at about 30....which is not native. The PS5 pro will likely have little difference to be quite honest... maybe closer to medium settings.
As for your specs, pretty close to my own, and I believe that performance... Im running at 1080 myself and get a solid 60 without upscaling on anything so far. (just what my monitor handles so what I play to).
Hey KingTrash I actually can "BUILD PCs" and have been since the year late 1999 all the way into the 2000s and I actually worked for some tech companies.
Building a "PC" is useful for work purposes and doing school work and learning how to use certain software and video editing and web surfing however for "gaming" it's mainly useful for playing OLD games otherwise it's a money pit designed by PC platform elitists and corporate shills into wasting your time and money if you fall into the trap of "PC gaming"
And it's worse since Steam was made cause you don't even own the games anymore... you need to log into the Steam servers just to be allowed to use the damn games you paid money for cause they've been promoting the digital download crap.
Then you have the PC platform elitists who brag about modding games and hacking them... they never created the game and will never create a new game so all they do is promote PIRACY aka stealing games and changing them from buggy software release to retail.
PC gaming used to be real in the late 90s and early 2000s until around 2008 when Crysis and Crysis Warhead were already out because piracy was rampant and Steam started dominated so people didn't own nothing they paid for plus your 3d cards became obsolete toasters fast.

2nd, if it has memory and a means to run code within said memory, its a computer. It may not be advanced (god knows PONG isnt) but was it not a coded program? I know games before it were (Spacewar I believe was your first video game... might have even been your first arcade, if not your first successful one), so yeah, these were written on COMPUTERS before specialized COMPUTERS came out to just run games.

That's why printer companies can sell ink subscriptions that turn off the printer if you print more then is allowed. That's why your car can actually have bleeding apps in that dashboard screen (and before that mechanics could plug an actual full on PC into it to read off statuses of the various systems... a specialized computer was there to communicate it).
And so what about code being specific to a single device? The day of the micro-computer was like that... did you think the same version of Micro basic worked between a TRS-80 or an Apple IIe? Cause they didn't.
Each had its own version with own specific system commands to call on their specific hardware.
Im also gonna shoot down your IBM started the personal computer argument right here... they didn't. They were late to the scene. PC is able to play games but PCs were never specifically designed to play games. That's why consoles for the most part are more stabled. PC has too much other things running in the background.

I promise you that those “pc” guys screeching about the pro are those who fall under that 95% category that barely have a pc that matches the base ps5, so they feeling some insecurities and inadequacy seeing the pro come along and steamroll their “rigs”. An issue i had with a amd RX 6700 XT, until i upgraded to latest ryzen 8 core 5800X CPU (at that time).

I work in this space for two decades so I know in detail how this works.
So when it comes to these type of tech purchases the pre-orders are never tied to an order.
So for example let's say Sony manufacturered 1 million consoles. Internally they will estimate how many of those will sale on PlayStation direct and how many are going to retail.
Let's say they estimated 500,000 would sell on PlayStation direct and 500,000 to retail. If they sold 500k and blew through their estimated stock for PlayStation Direct they would just pull from their retail surplus which means retail will have less supply because they make more money selling directly to the consumer.
This is why Sony staggered the retail pre-orders. So going back to my original point pre-orders are never tied to a device. It's tied to estimated inventory. This is why it sold out in many regions and then hours later there was more stock available.
All that meant was they pulled from other allotments to have more pre-orders available for PlayStation Direct. I think people will be shocked at how little inventory retail has. Watch how target, Walmart and Best Buy sell out.
Sony is saving their inventory for their own website because they make 100% of the money instead of 70-80% of the money than to sell at retail.

I have pc and ps5 had my PS5 before i built my pc always been an PlayStation guy, built my first pc and was like ok. Toyal cost for everything like mouse keyboard and case power supply. Total was like 4k. Pc is a bit harder to play with, gotta do alot of research, when things mess up. PlayStation is plug and play. Dont care for the ps5 pro, again i had a 5 since almost day one. If i had to choose, ill pick PC for the simple fact thTa theres more games to play and explore that console will never have, but the console is just easier to handle, plug and play. Pc if you wanna tinker with games play all systems etc. console if you just want something that works no questions ask. Pc online gaming is free ps online gaming 10.59 a month.
Normal sensible take. And fact is consoles have been basically best budget PCs since last generation. They run on same chips and architectures. There is no way to get more bang for your buck than a console. They are compact, mass produced PCs.
As a PC Gamer with a 4090 GPU and Console Gamer, I preorder the PS5 Pro and the A.I. PSSR will be amazing, the problem is the PC Gamer Elitist they are in denial and not being honest, there is no way they can match the PS5 Pro price and that is what bothers them and something I don't get some PC Gamers don't even play on Consoles and they are complaining now that is weird.
Two years ago, I built a PC with a Ryzen 5800X, 32GB DDR4 RAM, a 1TB Gen 4 SSD, a 1TB Gen 3 SSD, and a second-hand RTX 3080 Ti for around $1,100. That’s a bit more than the PS5 Pro, but it outperforms it-and was built two years ago. Nowadays, you can easily build a PC with similar performance and cost, especially considering the PS5 Pro’s GPU is comparable to a 4070 or 6800. With the next generation of PC GPUs on the way, even lower-end cards like the upcoming 5060 will likely match the PS5 Pro in GPU-bound scenarios. For those still on last-gen consoles, the PS5 Pro makes sense, but it’s less appealing to anyone who already has a PS5 or a high-end PC with a card like the 4090, lol. You can definitely build a PC in similar price range $100-200 can be more but you are paying extra for ps5 pro either way.

Most people that make 500 to 700 dollar gaming pc systems are mostly doing it for a school, church, or a community center where they are most likely going to just be loading more older retro games on it that don't require that much hdr or gig storage space and where the children and staff probably won't do too much stuff that usually overclocks PC systems. Those "Gaming PCs" are probably only good for downloading maybe one or two big storage spaced games and maybe smaller racing games and all that. And they'll most likely start showing their age and need to have suggestive upgrades in maybe 4 to 6 years tops with noticeable frame skips. I'm not trying to be mean. I'm just telling it as it is.

Technically speaking, the BASE PS5 and Series X advertise 8K on their boxes (which I think LITERALLY ONLY one or two games can ACTUALLY hit that target, but so long as there’s AT LEAST ONE, they can TECHNICALLY advertise the product as being “8K capable”).
It’s kinda like how PS3 advertised itself as being capable of “1080p” even though a VERY SMALL NUMBER of games actually hit that resolution natively.
AMD has always been the winner! They have the Sony contract which is guaranteed money! They had guaranteed contracts with Sony for PS4 and PS4 Pro selling over 140M or whatever the numbers are, they have the contract with PS5 and Pro, they have the PS6 in the bag! They most likely have the Vita 2 and PSVR 3 contracts in the bag!
NVIDIA is relying on features like DLSS, Sony is helping AMD with some of their branding and tech... PSSR is the original checkerboarding! Playstation has now branded PSSR for a reason!
