No narratives were broken. Tlou2 sold well because it was such a well established IP. Its issues didnt come apparent until people played the game. Dragon Age was too, but did worse than what it shouldve done because too long of a time between the titles and the controversy surrounding it was larger even pre-release. It could've sold much much much more as the franchise deserves. You're not fooling anyone with this take. Intergalactic will sell well but nowhere to the amount it should be selling if Naughty dog remained a respectable dev. Naughty dog as a dev rn is all graphics and anims.

I wouldn't say all of xbox games flopped they have done pretty good despite being in gamepass and rated pretty high in metacritic and some cases sold well. Also exclusives doesn't matter considering both ps and xbox are both expanding there ecosystem to make money.

too much unnecessary blah blah blah... The only thing that bothered me was the Pet Shop Boys music...it was poorly chosen. Everything else was some of the best you've seen in gaming...the face, the eyes...extremely detailed. especially the mouth when she sucks on the straw...absolutely top level. a character putting on a jacket... think about when you've seen something like that in a game... putting on clothes is never shown because it's too complicated to program! all the clipping errors etc. The inteo music alone was fucking perfect
It's not really about programming necessarily, it's the lighting, animation and rigging that's the hard part and getting that to work with the physics and look correct with the right shading and not clipping like you say.

I think this game got revealed at the worst time possible. There is every evidence of Capitalism from her Adidas trainers to the fact that she drives a PORSCHE!

No narratives were broken. Tlou2 sold well because it was such a well established IP. Its issues didnt come apparent until people played the game.

In regards to the complaints surrounding the ad/product placement in the game; it has ALWAYS been a thing in retro-futuristic movies/shows/games, from Cowboy Bebop to Blade Runner. Retro-futurism aims to capture an alternative future that people of the past had envisioned. It's basically nostalgia meeting imagination and what better way to elevate that than to include familiar brands and/or products.

I swear, if you watch the slow camera pan as the Astro Bot developers are walking up to go accept the GOTY (I wish I had an exact time stamp but just watch it from when the guy announces that Astro Bot won, just pay attention to the bottom-right as the developers stand up and start walking to the stage), you can SEE Phil Spencer (with Aaron Greenberg sitting directly behind him) and Matt Booty in the bottom-right corner and they ALL LOOK like they’re trying their DAMNDEST not to look PISSED. 🤣

The only thing that bothered me was the Pet Shop Boys music...it was poorly chosen.
Everything else was some of the best you've seen in gaming...the face, the eyes...extremely detailed. especially the mouth when she sucks on the straw...absolutely top level.
a character putting on a jacket... think about when you've seen something like that in a game... putting on clothes is never shown because it's too complicated to program! all the clipping errors etc.
The inteo music alone was fucking perfect
It's not really about programming necessarily, it's the lighting, animation and rigging that's the hard part and getting that to work with the physics and look correct with the right shading and not clipping like you say.

They had to hire CGI animators to finish the game, or did you forget about that.
