Troubleshooting the USB-C Hub: Why Your iPad Isn't Charging

Hi,
This is a quick video for those who are not able to charge their iPad through USB -C Hub PD port. While there may be many reasons why the USB -C Hub charging wont work with iPad, this one is an obvious reason and can be applicable for most of the cases. Please feel free to post your thoughts on this and share your experience in the comments.

I'm not able to connect my ipad pro 3rd gen with my monitor. I'm using the same Protonics USB C hub. It's working with laptop and phone , but it's saying no connection when connected to IPAD. pls help

Hi,
The iPad when connected to external monitor through USB C hub and HDMI cable, it should directly detect the display and run in screen mirror or stage manager mode.
I am guessing your iPad OS is up to date so probably there may be compatibility issue with USB C hub.

Can I charge my ipad through the usb c hub ? Is there will any problem in battery or harm to iPad 😢

Use a good quality branded USB C hub. I am using Spigen brand and have not faced any issues. Also I suggest using USB C hub only when the iPad port needs to be connected to other peripheral and charging is required at the same time. Normally iPad battery if fully charged doesn’t require continuous charging.

@@gearmeup6935 okk but one problem when i am not using my ipad and my ipad locked then also the usb c hub turned on . What’s the solution?😢😢😢
