Love y’all’s energy! I actually really enjoyed both movies (probably because they were watched in early highschool) but I completely get where some of the dislikes are coming from. You definitely earned a sub!
I think my biggest frustration with this movie is that it feels like they would start to go down a path and then not walk all the way down it. And I don’t know if that’s intentional, if they didn’t know what to do with some of these ideas, or if they were afraid of pushing them too far. But this feels very much like just the middle of a story with no beginning and no end (at least in terms of “Aaron’s” story) and I’ve always hated movies like that. I really wanted more from his psychology here. Movie one was about how he did his thing. Movie two should have been about why he does his thing. It’s clear he’s not satisfied by killing any more, and Sarah doesn’t really seem like she’ll scratch the itch either, but we don’t get an exploration of why and what would satisfy him so it all feels a bit pointless to me.
People keep complaining about how their RUclips algorithm is being poisoned with 'paid for' and promoted junk and then absolute dogshit like this is showing up on my timeline.
Finally rewatched it so I can watch the Deep Dive.
Mark Duplass is a god walking among us. I hope he never stops what he's doing.
Enjoyed this review. Didn’t realise creep tapes was a thing and will be watching shortly
Creep 1 was my cup of tea. I love both though 👍
Hell yeah. One of the most unexpectedly interesting movies I've ever seen.
