Picking up a few years after the events of the first film, in CREEP 2 we find our killer in a very different state than before, now having lost the joy of killing and suffering a midlife crisis. His latest potential victim Sarah turns the tables and pushes him in contrast to what he's used to, taking things in a very different and unexpected direction. We'll be breaking down the story, how it acts as a clever inversion of the first film, what we learn about the Creep's history and explaining the ending that teases a quite epic showdown.

My theory is that "Joseph" was actually telling her the truth in the first part. But after she refused to kill him he decided "screw it" and reverted back to his old ways, trying to manipulate her emotions before killing her just like he did Aaron. I'd even go as far as to say he knew his stab wounds wouldn't kill him, and that hers wouldn't kill her.

That's exactly how I saw it.
I wish we could find out more about his "wife" Angela from the first film, who Aaron had the short phone call with. She spoke the only true information that we know about the killer: That his name really is Josef, that he's actually Angela's brother, and that he "has problems".
He said he wouldn’t kill her in 24 hours. He desperately wanted her to leave so he can play his cat and mouse games.
I sort of genuinely feel bad for Aaron/Joseph. The reason he kills is to feel alive, and he's desperately trying kick it. To me killing is a metaphor for heroin, and it's extremely addictive and dependent nature, and he's trying to get sober again.

I think roughly speaking it takes an hour or two to die from a stomach wound as there’s no major organs or arteries around that area, the shovel to the back of the head though ehhh is a bit 50/50 depending what part of the head gets hit and how much force the assailant has behind the swing
It’s great how the team on creep didn’t just make another movie the same as the last one, but a new on in a new creative direction. It goes to show that they love the movie more than the money

I think that’s the idea. I think the name in the first film was his previous favourite victim and he’ll change it all around every so often to avoid the police but use his favourite (aaron in this case) for important events (such as his grand 40th kill)? Although I could just be talking rubbish 😂😅

You can tell he was lying to her about being in a mental institution until he was 19 because earlier he mentioned how he was 16 when he had his first kill when the serial killer picked him up in a car. They contradict each other
to be fair, they were playing two lies and a truth

I feel like this was a worthy sequel. Almost better than the first. I like how they played with it, didn’t make it an exact copy just new characters but actually changed how the movie was. It’s really well done
I hope for Creep 3, that Sara ends up actually killing the Creep for the ending. I want good endings lol. Or maybe, the end is she kills him and then becomes a killer herself. Something like that.

These movies are how found footage should look like. I know technically they aren’t “found“ but they are excellent.
Reading between the lines one can ascertain that "Aaron" (based on the name swap, hot tub scene, and a bunch of other context clues) is not just killing for no reason. He's looking for a replacement. He wants to find that person to "pass" his murderous streak and manic symptoms to just as he believes it was passed to him. He loved Aaron because by doing the Benadryl trick, he very nearly did succeed, or so he believes. He doesn't just feel as though it's become a job, he's losing his faith in his own delusions. These movies are top notch storytelling

I loved both Creep 1 & 2! I thought it was such a smart decision to have a woman co-star in this part...It made the dynamic between the 2 characters even better & allowed them to add another layer to "Aaron" since he's having to now interact with the opposite sex, something that clearly makes him extremely uncomfortable...It definitely removes some of the confidence & cockiness that he showed in the first part. It made him awkward & made him almost likeable...If that makes ANY sense at all! Lol

Sara is the best “final girl” since Sidney in the Scream series. Fight me lol. I fell in love with Creep 2, and I personally preferred it over the first Creep. It was such an intense attraction and mystery in the air, the aura of the movie felt more real to me than the first.
My favorite part of this movie is his reactions to Sara, he thinks he's going to freak her out by stripping naked... nope. He constantly tries to jump scare her... nope. Erin is like "b-but creep goes brrrrr?" and Sara is like "nope."

It is so rare that part 2 for a movie is any good when filmed separately. I love what they’ve done so far. I hope they figure out a good part 3 that brings us full stop. That doesn’t mean ALL QUESTIONS ARE ANSWERED! As in life we might close the door on one chapter in our life and still have some things unanswered but we know we must move on

Probably the best way to end the movie would be Sarah noticing "Aaron" and then smiling at him like "Long time no see honey". That would be really CREEPy. :D I'll show myself out.
He toyed with the idea of her having her first kill like he did. But I kind of like the version where she is his muse and they become a murder couple. I could see them possibly staging double dates where shit just gets super creepy

Man these videos save me a ton of time. Id so much rather listen to his educated description in 30 minutes than potentially waste hours if the movie is bad.
For me it really depends. I'll watch a movie that's bad like funny bad or just a bad that piques my interest. But if something's just bad then I won't watch it buts that fairly rare.

Not sure if this was mentioned in the review (can’t remember) but a detail I noticed and actually liked.
In his previous murders, he would scare them in stages, suddenly getting more creepier and creepier.
The last stage (before the attempted murder) would be the werewolf mask.
A childish way of trying to terrify his victims as he views a fictional creature mask is more scary than a literal axe or blade.
This is only further shown by the fact that he himself is jumpy, and probably feared werewolves as a child, and from not being around other kids, still thinks that is a common fear to anyone, even grown adults.
But with Sara, with the first stages not working, not scaring or even phasing her.
Clearly frustrating him, he resorts to skipping stages and wearing the mask within the first 20 - 24 minutes of the film.
resorting to the last stage (the werewolf mask) very early on.
Even threatening her (breaking the 24 hour no kill rule) within minutes of making it.
This doesn’t shock her still, and I think this actually slows down the process of everything, which leads to more of a emotional attachment (something he never truly had)
15:02 I have that ‘nervous disorder’ that causes you to pull out your own hair that he has in the movie, it’s called trichotilomania. it was also used for horror purposes in that awful ‘friend request’ movie. it was used much more respectfully and actually interestingly in creep 2.

And for the record, I love your idea for the 3rd installment! I think it would be super interesting! Or maybe even have the next potential victim be an investigative reporter going undercover to try and solve the string of unsolved homicides/disappearances. that way maybe we can see some of "Aaron's" "home movies". That scenario would work as well both ways as im sure the killer from your idea would absolutely love to see them to see how they stack up against one another! I know you cant possibly read or react to all your comments, but I hope this one catches your attention, because I'd love to hear more about your ideas for the 3rd installment, and maybe even what you think of mine and my additions.
