That's a beautiful condo! At today's rate, that's about $1,930 per month to rent. I pay $1,960 for a one bedroom in Seattle. It's in an older building with no amenities at all. However, the location is great - across from the beach, on Puget Sound, plenty of cafes, restaurants, and people watching. The biggest negative is that it's not in Thailand.
You hit the nail on the head. What may be expensive for some, living on just their social security check and small work pension, may not be expensive for some who have other sources of income. I live in Las Vegas and own my home. I have a condo that is 1333 sq ft. I pay(with HOA and Summerlin master plan fee) roughly $1,700 a month. Although the place I live is beautiful but not nearly as beautiful as what's shown in the video and not even close to offering the same amenities
I agree with everything you stated, I’m in the same boat. I’m very blessed with healthy SSI and government pension. No way I could live in those tiny condos.
That is a really nice 2Bed/2Bath condo! Love the view, amenities, and proximity to the beach. I own a condo in San Francisco and pay about $5600 (mortgage and HOA) a month. I am definitely looking to live at least part-time in SE Asia when I retire. I am Vietnamese and visited Vietnam many times and it would be my first choice but Thailand is a close second. Thanks for the great videos!
That's a great building. I just shot a podcast at Qulture yesterday. Awesome Cafe! Send me an email if you would be interested in doing a podcast episode please. Thanks for watching.
One of the best looking Condos I've seen, really nice the interior design, not a white wall to be seen. Would be good for own use, but smaller units bring higher rental yields, so not really an investment condo. But NICE!
Great video, I currently pay 1400, mortgage,120, lights, 100 water, 100, cable TV, 60, for internet that is only 3gigs…That isn’t including car insurance, car payments, property taxes… Good old USA has become absolutely ridiculous…. I just have a hard time being so far from the USA…. But the savings sounds incredible…. Thanks for sharing…
@johnrencher442 thanks for watching the entire video and sharing your comparison. There are many other affordable destinations closer to home. There's no need to stay trapped in the rising costs of the US.
Beautiful but WAY outside my budget. I don't want to go much over $750 max. I'm in Evansville, IN--2b/1bth apt. $1000/Month. My first trip to Thailand is July 11th, staying to the 29th. First Bangkok, then to Pattaya, then to Hua Hin, back to Bangkok. Retired Jan 2025.
Outskirts London, £457 mortgage with 57% LTV, £160 service charge and £120 council tax for 49sqm one bed flat. Looking forward to retiring in Thailand in 6+ years. A bachelor guy with no kids.
@@RetiringToAsia This is just the type of condo I'd rent. Most other Thailand channels only post tiny cheap backpacker type apts. Glad you realize that there is more than one demographic.
I rent a 2 bedroom condo in Canada for 2450$..car expenses are 12000$ per year Therefore, 42K per year..Surely I could live well in Jomtien with a 1 bedroom..
You can always buy a house/condo in Pattaya. The only caveat is you’d need to pay in cash as I haven’t heard of expat mortgages in Thailand. The ability of people who can rock up and drop 10s of millions of baht in a cash payment never ceases to amaze me. It would be interesting to know where that cash came from but I don’t think Thailand cares where it came from.
@kellywalker4494 luckily, not everyone who moves to Thailand is an old and broke retiree. :) Owner financed units are available and if you're here on a business visa, you can get loans/mortgages.
Comment below with whether you currently rent or own and what you pay monthly where you are. Welcome Rachel!
I like the quote “it’s not meant for everyone but that doesn’t mean it’s not meant for anyone.”
Thank you. Some folks get a little too wrapped up in "self" and forget others are out there too.
That's a beautiful condo!

That's a pretty BIG negative! 🤣 Thanks for watching.

Wow. Amazing size and super modern ! Excellent 🎉
Thank you! 😊

Tell us all about you and bore us all even more.
It's not all about you. Nothing to do with you in fact dull dude.
Thanks for watching the whole video and giving your comparison. I hope to visit Vietnam soon.
I live here in Jomtien, 16,000 per month rent for a one-bedroom unit in the Rivera Jomtien with its 4 great swimming pools.

Thumbs up 👍 Michael
First condo video I watch in its entirety. Because this easily fits into my budget. Very impressive with what I can get, wow.
Wow thank you. Glad you liked it.

No one asked you that.
Revealing such info is an invitation to hackers. Silly.
Actually, I did ask at the end of the video and he didn't give any secrets.

Great job Michael. Love your videos. Do they have any one bedrooms for rent?
Thanks for watching. Please email me with lease start date, size, budget and any other requirements you would have.
Saw one bedrooms here for $1,000 usd
Mortgage free in the South of France. Great video +1👍.
Thank you for the video. Very hard to hear y'all talking with the music 😞
Sorry about that
Aloha! Rent on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. 4bed/3bath 2,750 sq ft home, and we pay $3,400 a month including utilities.
Thanks very much for sharing.

You'll be able to find a very nice place with that budget. Thanks.for watching to the end!

Finally someone who can pronounce "Pattaya" correctly...I mean Rachel.
🤣 and you, of course.
It's not a bad price. I'm paying $3300 monthly. Virginia beach oceanfront. *For a one bedroom.
Thanks for watching it all and giving your comparison. What part of VB? I used to hang out around 82nd.

Almost $2kUSD per month. I’m guessing you are way over the range of most of your viewers myself included.
As I said at the end of the video, just because it isn't for you, doesn't mean it isn't for someone else. Thanks for watching.

Yes ! Love it. Not everyone is looking to live in a cheap closet 😜 I want luxury & have no problem paying for it
@jessieb3866 The great thing here is luxury is MUCH more affordable than many other destinations

Yes, if you maintain that budget you would live very well indeed.
Really nice, but too expensive. I'm paying less than that for a 1500 sq ft house with a 2 car garage in the US.
hey it's Rachael !!! That's Good Vibes Pattaya's Girlfriend ! cant believe she is cheating on him ! I still Love her anyway ! 😅😘😍🤑
the music is too loud @ 1 minute to 3 minutes and distracting when you guys are speaking and unnecessary
Lol... Rachel, Rachel, Rachel. Jas will never be the same after seeing this! But hey, a girl has to do what a girl has to do to get ahead in life. 😉
I love it but it's a little fat for me
I was hoping that would be around 50- 55k THB a year.
I believe rent is dead money I would rather put my money into a house I live in Ireland and I am paying 400£ a month
Thanks for watching

Selling what you've bought in Thailand and getting your investment back can be a problem. High supply and lower demand imho. Up to youuuuu 🎉.
it depends ,if you keep your cash in investments you can use the interest to cover the rent
18 million THB for that condo is very cheap.
Let the camera rest on the lady 🙂
