God this movie is probably the biggest surprise GEM/HIT of a remake/reboot/sequel in Cinema history. It’s an incredible sci-fi action drama… visually incredible.. the sound, direction is unbelievable great.

Which is by no means small, it's actually the size of several billion Olympic length swimming pools. He could have made far more of an effort to bring generalised agriculture to the Citadel and it's surrounding territories with that much. And it's not surprising that he doesn't, he was a Dictator. He needed his people starving, desperate and diseased so they were more willing to worship him and depend on him for survival. Furiosa opening the valves was to symbolise the end of Joe's reign and for the first time in years let everyone in the citadel have their fill, but it only amounted to a drop in the bucket of the citadel's wealth. She'll probably establish a system of giving out water that doesn't involve squirting it out of a giant sewage pipe once a month and genuinely make an effort at using it to rebuild the world. Because unlike Joe that's what she genuinely wants to do, Joe used the water the way he did not out of a need to ration but a need to assert power and perpetuate his cult. His citizens were by no means strong, aside from his War Boys who probably got the lions share, they were irradiated, crippled and sickly because he withheld water from them. Which is exactly what he wanted.
