Mini-Nürburgring (Cadwell Park) vs F1000 is Insane!

- Cadwell Park might be the UK's Hardest Track, often described as the Mini-Nürburgring.
The barriers are close, the corners are bumpy and the track is twisty.
I took my F1000 for the pre-season test to this incredible and intense track, only 1 week ahead of the season opening race... the pressure was on!
See big saves, a crash (not mine), wet driving and the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside.

This is one of my favourite tracks to come to, I only do track days in a caterham but the thrill you get from sending it round the track is great, I can't imagine how great it is in the f1000
Amazing video. Used to come here as a kid with my Auntie and Uncle and the races were just amazing to watch. Looks like so much fun to drive, so jealous. Thanks for the video dude and best of luck with the upcoming season.

America also has its own mini-Nurburgring, even minier than Cadwell Park.
The American mini-Nurburgring goes under the glorious name of "Lime Rock Park". Let's ensure these shrines to motor sport aren't lost to golf clubs. They are a permanent and insidious threat to many race tracks.

Lime Rock is pretty close to me and my heart. ALMS events from 10-15 years ago we’re some of the best times for me there…that Mazda Renesis car was audible over everything else.

I won my first race at Cadwell in the precursor to F1000 - Formula Honda. Back in 2001 we had the Honda 600 engines and the car was so well suited to the track. I never drove a 1000cc car unfortunately but they look a bit more of a handful!

This was my fav track to drive in Project C.A.R.S 2 using the AM V12 Vantage GT3, spent hours in VR just lapping the track
VR at Cadwell is so immersive. Great car choice too, I tend to favour the Supra
Amazing sense of speed on this narrow track.
To be honest, because of the smoothing of the camera settings, it doesn’t look as fast as it is / feels!
Do you have lsd diff on this car ? And i also will love to watch your full lap on rain drifting without slow motion , this is so nice to watch
@@povdrivekls8369 yes mate, LSD. I’ll see if I’ve still got the footage, thought it might be a bit boring mostly lapping on my own but then again, Cadwell is a brilliant track
I must have seen you on track on the Friday as only three cars. I popped to Cadwell in the afternoon as it was dryer then
You weren’t taking photos were you? There was a guy with a camera getting great shots around the mountain and Hall bends but forgot to speak to him after!
But yes, only 3 of us felt like a private session

It's the first circuit I ever drove an F1000 car at. I went straight into qualifying with no practice!! Good luck!

You should try the British hillclimb championship, loads of bike engined single seaters like yours competing

@@ChapmansCorner that is true, it is a very accessible, budget friendly form of motorsport (unless you choose to make it expensive)

Not a lot of passing opportunities. The best chance is when the driver ahead makes a mistake.
I think the race will be like Monaco, all about Quali and then, as you said, stay consistent and wait for mistakes

How can I buy the cheapest Formula car there is? Like is there a company that sells cheap formula cars? Like 6-7K$?
It's not the cost of buying a car that's a problem - it's the cost of running one. If budget is super tight, then in the uk at least, you can race Locost championship
You won’t be driving F1000 for that budget, maybe a race or two. As the other guy said, look at Locost Championship
