Yes, please, Bjorn - LR DM tests would be great, especially with 19 inch wheels to see difference in comfort over bumps compared to the 20 inch wheels tested here and best efficiency/range for AWD setup.

Guys I don’t have any response to your wonders unfortunately. So sorry for that but, I drove LR DM last weekend on German Autobahn for 800km on highway and following is my impression.
      * holy shit that’s fast and fun.
      * at ~130km/h average it seems to be making 350km on highway. @17degC ambient temp.
      * feeling of the car is amazing until 160km/h and then faster than that the front looses the feeling a little bit however, still you are able to tailgate some Porsche’s

Thanks for the sequence of PS2 videos Bjorn and for the channel in General,. Have had my MY24 SMLR plus/pilot (19") for a month now and currently on a 1500+ mile roadtrip from Cumbria in NW UK, around the Netherlands and back. All I have to say is Polestar for the win... it's everything you could want in a car and EV,. I had an IPace in 2019-2021 - brilliant car l, but less so as an EV. This by contrast is comfortable quick, long legged and so rapid to charge (charge to 75%) everything you could want in an EV, our bladders give in way before the car does... I've no more worry using this car on the roadtrip than I would using one of my classic fossil's - less when I drove through the London & Belgian (U)LEZ's...

My husband loves his polestar 2. He likes small sporty cars and he thinks the polestar is better than any 3 series he’s had before. It works for him bc we have a lot of windy country roads. We have other cars for long distances, so it generally works.
I don’t like it bc it’s noisy, cramped, impractical, but it’s really no diff than his prior 3 series. And I do occasionally take it out and appreciate the zippiness. And it’s my favorite of all the cars he’s had.

Nice video Bjørn! When Polestar 2 was first shown it was supposed to compete head to head with Model 3. But then it turned out to be a bit underwhelming. I'm so glad to see they've worked diligently to improve it in many important areas. The user interface seems to be quite good now, and it's really obvious that you enjoy driving it, which is high praise indeed.

I have a launch edition all wheel drive (delivered sep 2021).
There has been a continous flow of upgrades. Some of the more important once are
    - lower consumption/ better range at least 10%
    - better charging speed through 20-80 % range
    - range estimation based on actual consumption, it now quickly corrects for driving with a trailer with two motorbikes
    - apple car play
    - google automotive keeps getting updated with apps

I did a 2500km test with a Caravan in my 2023 Polestar 2 and it works great, even if unhooking the caravan to charge is a bit annoying. Averaged 35.4kW pr 100km which is roughly twice the normal consumption. (dual motor, with performance upgrade) If you pick chargers carefully it's not more expensive than using a diesel to tow, but I probably couldn't afford a diesel that is quite as fast while towing a caravan XD

RWD is fun to drive and brings tighter turning.
FWD platforms can have fairly big trunks in smaller cars (like in classic Ioniq, Niro, e-up) and allow for dead cheap simple rear axle designs like in e-up and the upcoming ID.2.
FWD in an AWD design seems just dumb.

YOu say not as efficent, but, it is more range than similarly speced Tesla model 3 SR (both 82kwh battery, but RWD tesla only has about 270 EPA range while this claims 320 EPA.... Charge is nice as well, and From what I've seen, Polestar doesn't exagerate test results (lik eEPA range) as much as Tesla does... Would be curiosu to compare this with Model 3 SR & BMW i4 idrive35 (or something like that?) and possibly Hyundai/Kia RWD cars?I am seriously thinkingthis over my Hyundai as my next car...

It can be an advantage to have constant four-wheel drive if you have to drive on ice and snow after a road. unless you have a system that is very fast and can activate the other two wheels before any wheel has lost grip. Saab had such a system that checks you Christmas several times per second. with several sensors that controlled the wheels

more modern RWD cars have better traction control now a days, therefore they do handle okay on the snow. DOes take a bit of driver training, though. YOu floor it on a turn on RWD on icy condition, and car may spin. Traction control now a days makes stuff like RWD Tesla good in snow, same for this VOlvo.--I mean, Polestar :)

Unless you cannot stand the good but boring design from Tesla I really would like to understand why anybody would chose it over model 3. I used to despise Tesla but after doing the research and comparing what you get for the money there’s literally no other option (bar some Chinese untested tech). I really like the design of P2 but it’s too cramped, expensive and software wise not that great. P3 also looks amazing to me but the price is simply not accessible to many. And between this P2 and same category I4 I’d go for the non m50 beever even it was seriously small inside - our city car Kia picanto has probably more room than that maybe not the width but overall 😂

It’s a matter of customer choice. And yes - Tesla might be great, but Polestar is different. It’s a good thing you have choices on EV market, you should be thankful only for that. Otherwise we would all have to drive the same boring design and give our finances to the same company.
