I WATCH THIS VIDEO EVERYDAY FOR MOTIVATION
Dam what a beautiful sound
I guess I never was a fan of these cars until RUclips introduced me to Terry. This car is amazing! Keep on ripping it Terry! Two thumbs up! 👍👍
Compression of 9.5 to 1, 274H comp camshaft, good big valve heads, porting, big headers with big 3" exhaust, performer intake and a good carb.
Love this Olds. It's not often you see a big car move like that.
Nice to see a big 4 door Olds getting fixed up! Awesome car!
True definition of a REAL sleeper, unlike today's so called sleepers with a supercharger or turbo/s NOS installed. This beast is natural and the truth when it comes to raw power.I am a fan for life of this demo derby car!The spectator races were awesome.2 tons of fun(ok 2.5 tons).
That..thing..is..AWESOME!!!!!
HELL YES!!!! Let the big beautiful beast sing!!!!
Still going strong! I read further the other reply sent to me. The GM 8.5 is a very under rated unit, not getting as much recognition as it deserves. One would think the stuff it has taken from your cars' weight and power would be proof positive enough. The 3.73's in my ride have an Auburn limited slip unit. The assembly should last forever after seeing what you do with the big block. Oldsmobile forever!
Holy shit that Olds is fucking awesome! A full size car with power is just mean!
This car never ceases to fascinate me, especially when I have read on your other clips what you have done to the engine. Even at the far distance away, the echo and sudden silence give testamount how much the engine is pulling. The 3.73's are the icing. Is the rear housing the stock one with the crazy 9.5 (?) and if so I did not know you could get that ratio. Thanks for posting more Rocket power!
doggo is like....that's my dad!
The basic design of the 455 is almost 60 years old, but it can still run with today's best!!!!!!
Can almost keep up with the Buick,s 455 !
I actually had to put a corp 8.5" 10 bolt rear end in that I pulled out of a 1971 Pontiac Lesabre. I could not find a posi carrier for the odd ball olds rear. So far the 10 bolt has been holding strong. Fingers crossed!
Nice video, again. Nice car. Nice burnout.

The 8.5 corporate is a very strong unit, it has the same diameter pinion shaft as the much vaunted Chevy 12-bolt just to name one virtue.GM used them behind the wild W-30 442's ETC, and some trucks, and yes, my wagon has the same innards as yours, the 8.5 corporate running 3.73's and an Auburn limited slip. I know I have nothing to worry about my final drive now, I think the unit has proved itself in that 3-ton brute you have! I know aftermarket covers with girdles help even more.
Look for a chevy caprice from that era. It should bolt right in and give you the option for gearing and posi. It should be a 8.5" 10 bolt corporate rear end.
Super gut
Brother I just picked up a 74 cutlass with 455 rocket I would love for mine to get up and perform like this. Can you guide me in the right direction of what I should do I’m going to send the motor off to get rebuilt and would like to throw some after market parts in her. Thanks.
nice!
I just bought a 1984 Delta 88 off my great grandfather who was the original owner. It's been garage kept for years and still looks amazing, aside from the rims and tires that he ruined in the 3 times he drove it last year (he was an awful driver haha.) Anyways, so far it's completely stock with a V8. I was wondering how I could get my engine to sound like this one does? Mine isn't any where near this and is more of a hum than a roar. If you could please respond that would be wonderful :)
What mufflers do you have?
I'm saving my coins to machine the motor in my 1970 convertible Delta88. 455 rocket.
Definitely not Factory stock I would love it but it would get me in big trouble
bitchin car! Do you have a video of it idling by any chance we could hear? Im about to put the same cam in my 455 jet boat
Pedro's cousin... (Napoleon dynamite) vote for pedro.
And yes, I know this isn't the same car as mine haha.
After watching a few of Terry's videos I've come to believe Terry likes buying new tires.
thats Not stock
