    we just got this mower. had the same one a few years ago but My husband and son dealt with it. Now my husband has alzheimers and did not know what to do. we read the operations manual which might of well been greek. Then we found your video. Bless you for giving me information and confidence and it worked. You are helping more people than you realize.

    Great video! Just one question, after you’ve put the key in the position where you can mow in reverse, do you have to turn the key BACK to the green area when you’re going forward, or can you just leave it at that position for the rest of the mow so that you can reverse mow anytime you want to?

    • @JohnsonsSmallEngines

      Check and adjust your tire pressure. That may help the uneven cut. If it does not the deck will need to be leveled. Make sure when you have the blades engaged that you are in fast in the throttle. That may help. If it does not help, you may have a bad mower deck belt or out of balance blades.

  • @lindahendrix340

    my question is when you want to go in reverse without the blades engaged -- do you still have to press the triangle before putting it in reverse? I have lot of old trees and it seems , even if I pick up all the limbs before I mow, there are still a few out in the yard. I get a little angry and just run over them dulling my blades. • @JohnsonsSmallEngines

      First adjust all tire pressure to where they should be. Look on the side of the tire and it will give you max tire pressure. That may help. I was wondering the size of your engine and how you feel about your mower now such as review the reason I’m asking is I inherited it and dropped it off at the shop to have it maintenance for the season and they found so many issues it cost like $700 for the yearly maintenance a spindle and a valve cover replaced or something like that.’

      Hi Nathan, I just work on the machines. You will need to contact the manufacturer to see if you can get them for your exact model. I do not get into installing any attachments unless the customer already has items.

    Thank you for the very informational video that you made it really answered a lot of questions but I have had one heck of a time with this particular mower. I’ve had three brand new mowers because the first mower the blade messed up. The second mower came with one headlight, and this last mower that I’ve got has one bolt in the seat and it twirls around 360° and if you pushed it hard enough, it probably would do it five times in a row, so how many bolts are under the seat of yours I have one and I’m sure there’s supposed to be more but I’ve never had a mower that the seat went around and around and around. Called Home Depot and they will call me tomorrow I have never had this much trouble with anything in my life but I can’t seem to get this mower to come to me with nothing wrong with it. Can you get back with me about the seat it does have that black bolt one black bolt in the middle of the seat nothing else. 0:32 0:32

    • @JohnsonsSmallEngines
      @JohnsonsSmallEngines  Год назад

      Some are always on after starting the engine and do not turn off until you shut down the engine. Only way to stop lights from working is pull the bulbs out or if you have a plug, unplug the wires going to the head lights but I’m pretty sure that model does not have a plug as it is directly wired into the harness.

      Let it sit for a while and then try starting it just at fast speed not choke. It may need to crank over for 10 seconds to clear itself out. If that doesn’t work you may have to let it sit for a long time and try to restart it like I did in the video. Basically starting over.

    • @JohnsonsSmallEngines
      @JohnsonsSmallEngines  Год назад +1

      Is your tractor brand new or used? If it is brand new, make sure you have a full tank of fuel and when you start it up on choke, bring it down to medium or low throttle to let it warm up if that doesn’t work again check to see if your fuel cap vent is clear and I know you said you don’t know where it is just loosen up your gas cap, and then, if you hear air suction? Then leave your gas cap a little bit loose and see if it runs longer. If that does not work you would need to diagnose it from there and I cannot help without seeing the machine.

    • @robinbishop4161
      @robinbishop4161 Год назад

      @@JohnsonsSmallEngines it’s used. It sounded like the fuel wasn’t getting thru. Emptied out the gas, had to take the hose off. There was a bug in there. Reattached everything, put new gas in, and it ran for one pass. I think I probably should’ve blew or rinsed out the line before reattaching. So frustrating. !

    lawyers designed the control system.
    My neighbor just bought a new one for $2k , we can't understand the symbols, its not very intuitive.
    He already broke his deck belt after 2 hours use. He was riding the belt engage lever , I told him to push the lever all the way over and don't hold it. There is a learning curve with these.
