Literally the only in depth video of the CZ100 on youtube. I picked one up last month for about 280 bucks just for nostalgia sake (it's in Ghost in the Shell) new in the box. Shits and giggles purchase but cool find none the less. Plan on picking up a P10C in the near future to round out the collection :D
I bought a CZ-100 new when they first came out. I sold it before I ever fired it because of the trigger. The analogy I had for the trigger was that it was like trying to push a grand piano over a gravel driveway. ..Joe
Legend says that the 100 was designed to be cheap pistol for self defense, but when they started actual production, the management decided to market it as space age masterpiece. The "snagging attachment" is called barrel stop, and its purpose is to limit the vertical movement of the chamber in ejection window - I wonder why they have chosen to do it that way, one explanation i found is that they were unable to produce slides in sufficient tolerances, but might as well be designer's attempt to make the lockup more precise by having the contact point on the barrel distributed over longer distance. Which would be pointless, given the atrocious trigger.
DUDE!!! THAT WAS MY SUGGESTION!!! THANKS MAN!!! the cz100 was what I asked for a couple videos back not sure if you saw it or not but this is awesome . You are thr only guy who has a video on this gun.
The CZ-100 was one of those guns I'd drool over looking through the old Guns & Ammo annuals back in the day, when I was a poor high school student. It has that kind of Retro Sci-Fi look. I may have to get one simply for nostalgia.
Looks like Chads been bulking up. Always great to see him on guntuber videos. Oh and everyone has been hating on Kel-tec in the comments. I personally do not own any Kel-Tec firearms but they've brought a lot of innovation to the gun world.
I always see Chad trolling around Nutnfancy channel, MAC, and a few others... and I like Chad for that reason. He gets out and sees the people! I don't think I could name a rep from any other company, but I can tell you that Kel Tec employs Chad. Whether you like Kel-Tec or not, you have to respect Chad :)
Thank you Tim and Chad for this excellent video. I have never owned a CZ before and I have been researching this size of 9mm striker fired pistols for a few weeks now and this CZ really has my attention in a big way. Along with other videos (yours is the best) and magazine articles I have found what I have been searching for.
Jeff England next year my friend. they are going to build a factory in the states to make the p10 and it's variants, yes that means full and subcompact are in the works.
Same man. I had a P10 on order paid for a couple months ago and still hadn't gotten an ETA of when it would be at my FFL. Ended up taking that money and just buying a gen 4 Glock 17 (USA stamped at that) to compliment my 19 and 43 instead.
I just took my P10C to the range and the trigger does need 200 rounds to break in. Mine was gritty but it is now the best trigger I have shot. This gun is a steal at $480.
Fun fact: the polymer they invented for this gun's frame was so strong that it didn't need to have steel rails - so the rails on the frame are 100 % plastic. Pretty cool I think.
Fill several niches 5) One of Cz`s first attempts at Striker Fire 4) Clinton Ban Era 3)Cz 2) Trigger/Reset Atrocious 1) AWESOME 1st Carry and Trainer; I am an old shooter and enjoy shooting it teaches trigger and Aim Control from there one can shoot effectively with any gun/weapon. Now that is because the trigger is a nightmare even (do I dare say) glock has em beat (ooooh force the bile back down) For the record Trigger on the Cz 100 is a LOT like a Kel Tech trigger
This is awesome I owed a cz 100 back in the late 90s love cz but that one I traded for a Firestar plus in 9mm. That is a gun that I'd like to see yall do a video on as well.
Whaddya mean by "Zev trigger"? Just the adjustable Fulcrum trigger alone, or like a full trigger kit with disconnector and spring set? The trigger alone doesn't do much.
That gun was a little ahead of its time. Front cocking serrations, a way to single hand rack the slide back. Also I liked the way it looked. Hey some aftermarket stippling and better trigger that thing may be a comp for its current counterparts. Great vid with Kel tech Santa. LOL
Need this in their Rami size for conceal carry. I'm not alone in thinking that pistols sized like the Glock 19 are just too big for EDC for millions like me. That's why 380 sized pistols are so popular. Not asking for a mouse gun, but Shield, Glock 43, or slightly larger is the sweet spot. Even the HKVP9 subcompact is enormous.
+M85FSLUVR The G19 is by far the most popular concealed carry gun on the US market. The single stacks don't offer enough capacity for many folks, myself included.
I find my G26 hides just as well as the Sheild or G43 sized pistols. Much better capacity. The G19 hides well enough unless it's real light summer wear. The width of the pistol has little to do with the concealability. Grip length is the key. Yes, the VP9sk is a behemoth of a "sub kompact".
CZ's plan is to over time fully flush out the p10 line up. first is the "c" or compact, next will be the "S" or whatever they will us for subcompact and then a duty/full size.
Not surprised at the hate for the CZ 100, but say what you will, I love the ones I have. And so much that it's been my #1 EDC for quite awhile, especially after having the grip stippled and having CZ Custom install night sights for me. All three have consistent 8.5# trigger pulls and are accurate enough out to twenty-five yards. But for people who have little to no experience shooting revolvers or true DAO pistols with heavier trigger pulls, they are going to struggle. Seems everyone is caught up on having a light, short trigger pull to shoot well LOL. The 9mm model has 13-rd mags available for it (both of mine came with them), but the .40 model was limited to ten regardless. There was another imported model that had a fixed, plastic "U" notch rear sight ala Glock. Concerning Glock, the aftermarket Wolff guide rod and recoil spring for Gen 1-3 fit perfectly in the CZ 100. If you want to shoot a crap trigger, go fire an HK VP-70. You can order pizza delivery and have it arrive before the trigger finally hits the break point! Hahahahaha
I totally agree on the P-10C. I got to try one of the T&E pistols back in April and that sold me. I called dibs on the first to come through my LGS and haven't changed my mind. The trigger was a bit gritty at first, but smoothed up nicely in the first 50 rounds. It's now my carry gun. I saw a CZ-100 at a gunshop a year or two ago at a decent price and I rather wish I sprang for it. Not that it was all that impressive, but rather just to have an example. Some discontinued CZs are very worthwhile. A couple of years ago I came across a CZ-40B at a very good price and I couldn't be happier. That's a model they should have kept. If you ever come across one, do not hesitate, buy it.
I think the biggest bonus to this pistol is the price point. With all the hype it's getting it could easily sell for $100 more. I'd say let's wait and see how the aftermarket is with this gun, but does it really need a whole lot of aftermarket support. I'd probably change the sights, but get a holster and done pretty much.
The great review and I think that the differences between models kind of showing me that you can improve on something. Keep it up. Thank you for allowing me to post my opinion.
Hey Tim managed to get the same p10 you have here. Love the pistol but the only issue is that razor blade dingus. Took it to the rang to sight in and break in and got a blister to pop now grrrr but still carrying it! Yes I'm hat stubborn.
Just bought a CZ P-10C FDE for $500.00 on Gunbroker last night. I'm not able to find them locally or nationally. I never looked into CZ guns until a few days ago, but there are raving reviews on this little gem.
I can't wait to get a P10C, it looks amazing. That was the first time seeing the CZ 100, very different looking with that top "snagger" piece. Thanks for sharing brother, another awesome video. I look forward to seeing how the P10c fares in the gauntlet. Happy belated father's day brother!
I kinda like my CZ 101... It's goofy, in a dumb dog lovable kinda way. And its rides in my center console constantly. So I dont think about it much and the trigger lets me be pretty comfortable with it being in there.
Owned one of the CZ 100 and it was reliable & accurate BUT it had a veeerrrrryyy long trigger pull & long reset too. Also the gun felt cheap & even looked like a toy. Truely a odd gun that I sold quickly. The CZ P10C is another one of those Glock 19 clones with Glock operation so it should be a much better pistol that the CZ 100. EDIT: Happy upcoming Independence Day were we celebrate our freedom.
I just picked up one at CZ Customs for under MSRP. Have not had a chance to shoot it yet, but I notice the mag release is super stiff I hope it will free up.
Tim, I can do you one better. I've got a factory ported CZ100 in .40 S&W that has a 5 1/2 pound trigger pull that is smooth as glass, (which is factory as well). Enjoyed the vid! Still wonder why I bought the silly thing, though.
Hi. I love my CZ Shadow 2 however one thing to watch out for is the front sight fibre has fallen out and lost and I now discover others have the same problem. Not a spare part you would normally carry to the range.
MAC always makes nice videos, specially now with the new camera. About CZ . My CZ 75 P 01 had small hole ( 6 mm long)under the rear sight. I discover it only when I was adjusting the rear sight. contacted CZ CS=That is the clearance cut for the firing pin block, they can sometimes be seen like that as there is minimal thickness due to the cut. The rear sight should cover it up. The firearm is safe and no adverse effects should occur from this....All CZ-USA firearms are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year on wooden parts and surface treatment and five (5) years on other parts to the original purchaser.......
Hey MAC! Can you get your hands on, and review, the Beretta PX4 Compact Carry model? It's very interesting for a carry gun, holding 15+1, slimmed controls, and rotating barrel. It's pricey over the standard PX4 compact, though. I've been wanting to replace my CZ75 PCR with a P01 omega for EDC but I always loved how the fullsize PX4 shot so with this new release I'm itching. Especially because I can't find a P01 omega in stock anywhere!
My P10c is a single action only trigger will not reset on its own. Guess it's on its way back to CZ. Hopefully they can get it fixed. Ejection is very weak also falls at my feet. This happened after only the first magazine. The next 6 mags never worked. So not a break in issue.
All the p10s that came into the store I work all had different triggers. The fde ones for whatever reason had a smoother spungier feel to them. Better than a ppq? Not in my opinion but a close second
I love all of your content I love the CZ I think it's a very slick looking gun both thumbs up from me keep up the good work greetings from Slovenia so you know that you are watched worldwide
I live where Lake Huron empties into the St Clair River, and I can't believe that you don't love swimming in the Great Lakes. I'd take a dip in Lake Huron over salt water any day.
is it better then the PPQ trigger? I just recently bought a PPQ very happy! and btw I live in South bend didn't realize you were so close! might need to go to copper custom
Fun fact: first cz p07 shipment when they came out was garbage. I had the threaded and raised sights version of rhe p07 the day they first shipped. Found out that when you change out the safety to a manual safety from decocker (omega setup), you could actually disengage the safely by pulling the trigger on safe 2 times. It would literally rock the safety lever down and completely off just by pulling on the trigger twice while it was on safe.....thank God I found this out via unloaded. Called cz and told them....they said...."well, don't do that". Several other of the people at the gun shop tried.it on theirs...same thing. Then all of the sudden the next month there weren't any p07s that would do that. They changed something lol. I'd like to think it was due to my phone call....
I am a major CZ75 fan, and even had a 357 barrel for my CZ74/40, so I get it. However, I am old enough to have grown up with revolvers and liked my CZ100/40. The trigger was long, for sure, but I qualified better with it than with the 4006 my dept issued at the time. The 4006 was the only handgun I ever had trouble qualifying with. You're just jaded from having so many options! Not that it is a bad thing... As soon as I find a CZ that allows installation of an RDS I plan on leaving Glock forever.
I picked up A CZ P10c last week and I have about 400 rounds through it. I LOVE this pistol. I have only two complaints: the slide stop/release won't lock it back on the left side, you can release it from that one, but you can't lock it to the rear. Also, the mag release is super stiff. The left side is impossible to release the mag without both hands pushing the button as hard as I can. Is it doing any of that to you?
Will Shephard first of all, fuck you for having two when I don't have one yet :) that's interesting though. Hopefully I can compare the two side by side to see if that's a thing or an anomaly
Matoko's pistol in the original ghost in the shell animation (1995) In the new ghost in the shell movie with scarlet Johansson, Matoko uses a futuristic glock!

the gun does shoot well for sure.
Mrgunsngear Channel indeed

Oh and everyone has been hating on Kel-tec in the comments. I personally do not own any Kel-Tec firearms but they've brought a lot of innovation to the gun world.
CZ sure do know how to make an attractive pistol.
veganvvarrior I agree. I have yet to see a gun from CZ that isn't sharp looking
I always see Chad trolling around Nutnfancy channel, MAC, and a few others... and I like Chad for that reason. He gets out and sees the people! can't wait to see this new CZ run the gauntlet
Seanj1193 honest outlaw reviews did one last week.
GunBroker is a great place to pay 5 grand for a $500 gun.
GunGuru 😂
I wish CZ had better distribution.
Jeff England They are out there, the problem is that the demand for it is incredible!
Jeff England next year my friend. they are going to build a factory in the states to make the p10 and it's variants, yes that means full and subcompact are in the works.

You can get one on GunBroker. I've seen a few on there go for $600-$700...If you go in there right now there is 3 available to "buy now" for $569
adam briar yeah I'm good on that. I won't pay over retail of 499 for a gun that's already having issues.
I just took my P10C to the range and the trigger does need 200 rounds to break in. Mine was gritty but it is now the best trigger I have shot. This gun is a steal at $480.
Cz100 in 40 was my first handgun. It had the trigger of nightmares.
Fun fact: the polymer they invented for this gun's frame was so strong that it didn't need to have steel rails - so the rails on the frame are 100 % plastic. Pretty cool I think.
There is also a little steel plate in the back of the magazine well that has the word gun stamped out of it
Cool to see somebody from a manufacturer enjoy another companies firearm.
Excellent video! Those slow motion shots are amazing.
What a flat shooting pistol the CZ P-10 C is. I gotta have one!

I was curious about the cutout in the CZ 100's trigger guard, and found that it was for the mounting of a laser or flashlight. Interesting.
That gun was a little ahead of its time. Front cocking serrations, a way to single hand rack the slide back. Also I liked the way it looked. Hey some aftermarket stippling and better trigger that thing may be a comp for its current counterparts. Great vid with Kel tech Santa. LOL
M.L. Evans, it's really difficult to even think about working on the trigger but, I stippled mine and had night sights done by CZ Custom. Love it!
oh that's gotta be a sight to see!
the target sights were probably to get it enough points to be imported
Need this in their Rami size for conceal carry. I'm not alone in thinking that pistols sized like the Glock 19 are just too big for EDC for millions like me. Yes, the VP9sk is a behemoth of a "sub kompact".
M85FSLUVR Yup I'm gonna grab a RAMI for CCW. I have a CZ 75 compact now but it's a bit bulky.
according to their manual there's a full size (Glock 17) and sub compact (Glock 26) coming out at some point.
CZ's plan is to over time fully flush out the p10 line up. first is the "c" or compact, next will be the "S" or whatever they will us for subcompact and then a duty/full size.

I still miss Barry.
Rest In Peace Barry I really do miss him if he were still around imagine how much better Eric's channel would be doing.

My CZ has been awsome!
Got mine can't wait until Friday
Hey Tim managed to get the same p10 you have here. Love the pistol but the only issue is that razor blade dingus. Took it to the rang to sight in and break in and got a blister to pop now grrrr but still carrying it! Yes I'm hat stubborn.
Chad is way to high energy for this channel. Great video man.
Just bought a CZ P-10C FDE for $500.00 on Gunbroker last night. I'm not able to find them locally or nationally. I never looked into CZ guns until a few days ago, but there are raving reviews on this little gem.

The CZ 100 target sights are probably for import reasons.
Been seeing Chad everywhere lately! Just saw him on an episode of VICE talking about the state of the gun market. Nice to see him in your vids.
I kinda like my CZ 101... It's goofy, in a dumb dog lovable kinda way. And its rides in my center console constantly. So I dont think about it much and the trigger lets me be pretty comfortable with it being in there.

Kazakhstan was the only country to ever use the cz 100. Their swat teams still use them.
Tim, I can do you one better. I've got a factory ported CZ100 in .40 S&W that has a 5 1/2 pound trigger pull that is smooth as glass, (which is factory as well). Enjoyed the vid! Still wonder why I bought the silly thing, though.
cz100 in 40 was my first semi auto.
Hi. I love my CZ Shadow 2 however one thing to watch out for is the front sight fibre has fallen out and lost and I now discover others have the same problem. Not a spare part you would normally carry to the range.
I completely love my P10C. I am looking forward to the rest of the P10 line.
I almost forgot about the cz100,i remember now
MAC, are you wearing the new Peltor Sport Tactical 500s? How do you rate them on comfort? Are the ear cups too big to shoulder on a rifle?
Chad seems like a cool guy, it's always fun to see him pop up here and there on gun channels, Kel-tec chose well when they picked him.
+El Fixo He's a great front man for Kel-Tec in the social space. He's a lot of fun to hangout with too, I think his personality comes across in video.
Loved dual wielding these in the Hitman games. though it usually too both full mags to put a target down.
Mac, which would you rather, a glock 19 with a trigger job, some grip work, and upgraded sights or a czp10c with upgraded sights?
Nice review Tim. I want one now!
Any chances of doing a video on the stoeger cougar. Can't find any good videos on it anywhere.
You do a very nice job with all of your videos. You have good presentation technique. Plus, I love the logo!
All the p10s that came into the store I work all had different triggers. The fde ones for whatever reason had a smoother spungier feel to them. Better than a ppq? Not in my opinion but a close second
Thanks Guys Nice Job
I love all of your content I love the CZ I think it's a very slick looking gun both thumbs up from me keep up the good work greetings from Slovenia so you know that you are watched worldwide
+Matej Pecnik Thank you. I hope to visit Slovenia this summer.
Military Arms Channel if you do visit you won't be disappointed have a nice day
Enjoyed the video... Can't wait to handle one of these at my local gun show... Question: how does the trigger compare to the trigger on a Walther PPQ?
Did u ask Chad when the RDB Tactical is coming. Im really looking forward to that. Plus he should have his own youtube channel
+union steel I believe it's coming soon, I didn't get an exact date.

Great video! Love CZs. Keep em coming Tim, what is that tower thing behind you you guys shooting?
Design frame has a very nice look.
Hey Col. Are planning in reviewing THE ATN Thor HD night vision scope this summer or fall? Chad! how are you?
I am a major CZ75 fan, and even had a 357 barrel for my CZ74/40, so I get it. However, I am old enough to have grown up with revolvers and liked my CZ100/40. Not that it is a bad thing... As soon as I find a CZ that allows installation of an RDS I plan on leaving Glock forever.
I still think that the PPQ with the APEX Flat Face Trigger install is the best pistol trigger I have experienced. You should do a review on it.
I'm thinking about picking up a new pistol, either a P10C or a VP9. Thoughts on them?
Not sure if I missed it in the video. What was the make and model of the light attached to that? Thanks
You realize you're going to have to do a reliability test on slick Willy now don't you
The social media followers are really disappointed there wasn't another debut in this video, you know what I'm talking about
Once you buy or shoot your first CZ, it's easy to become a CZ fanboy...well except maybe the CZ 100!
A couple weeks back you mentioned some "kinetic?"(I think it was) ear plugs you were trying out. How were they?
Sounds like Chad still connected at 100 yards with the CZ 100 on the last shot.
Great video man - any plans on reliability testing the P10?
A chipmunk ran right behind you guys when you were talking about the trigger.
The trigger on my black P10c is different than the trigger on my FDE P10c. Both good but the FDE is super nice.
Will Shephard first of all, fuck you for having two when I don't have one yet :) that's interesting though. Hopefully I can compare the two side by side to see if that's a thing or an anomaly
David Andrus lol. Yea couple other guys on RUclips said they feel different. Maybe just early production thing. Both feel good just different.
Which has the worse trigger? The VP70 or Cz P100?
CZ 100 vs HK VP70Z. Which trigger is worse?
Hands down, the HK. The CZ 100 has an 8.5# trigger pull.
No Ma'am all the Keltecs are worse!!! 😂
Just bought one that hasn’t been fired. Holy shit the CZ100 trigger is terrible. Reset is a mile long!
Did you ever shoot the ported barrel version. 40 cal
my buddy just got a P10c, and had a bunch of malfunctions at first. Hopefully it's a rare issue because I want one.
Matoko's pistol in the original
ghost in the shell animation
(1995)
In the new ghost in the shell movie with scarlet Johansson,
Matoko uses a futuristic glock!
Question since I can't find it anywhere, is the barrel nitride coated or something similar to glock,m&p,xd,fnx, etc the cz75 is just white steel.
Hey, great video! Thanks!
I want one now.. Like yesterday. Might have to trade the Mod 2 for one of these.
Hey could you do a video on the Vepr AK 47 or 74
Hey keltec.... take some notes.
I only know about the CZ100 because the Major uses it in the 1995 Ghost in the Shell movie
Finally Chad had a chance to shoot a gun with a worse trigger than most keltec pistols.
I want to hold off for a full sized p10, hopefully we wont wait too long.
Got my P10 for $400 even. Never been happier with a gun purchase
The CZ 100 kind of looks like a Springfield XD model
Is the trigger better Than sig 320?
