Hello! My family dealt with something similar in Seattle during Sakuracon. My mom’s car got broken into and the people stole her stuff. She even parked in a parking garage, but unfortunately the Seattle police won’t be doing anything to find the culprit since the law that would protect people from these was taken down from people using the law for discrimination purposes. (The person cut through the sun roof of my mom’s convertible and did a swan dive into the car. Even cutting themselves and we still have blood in the car once we manage to get an investigation going.) I’m very sorry that this happened to you two. @@ericakren5486 some places require insurance, others don't, but since the theft wasn't at the convention center itself I doubt it would cover even if we did have coverage. Our car got broken into near the hotel we were staying at.
I hope your car insurance can cover some of the loss. I am so sorry this happened. It makes me sick that some people just dont care about how their actions affect others. I hope you get some answers from the cameras on the building.
@@NewmNetwork thank you. We did let the police know about the cameras, but haven't heard anything from the police. Also, our insurance doesn't cover business items stolen, only personal - for example if we had left our phones in the car and they got taken.
Thieves are disgusting
So sorry...but definitely not "your fault". It is the fault of those hoodlums who stole your stuff. My sis and BIL had something similar happen in ATL when they were there for something similar (not anime). Only in that case it was very quick and a gun was stolen from their truck.
Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry that happened to them. I hope they are doing well. -and thank you for your kind support ❤️
Your insurance should cover the cost of the items stolen too. Look into that.
@@beeasybylb yeah, our car insurance doesn't cover business items stolen, only personal items stolen from the car, like if we had left our phones or a laptop inside- Unfortunately 😞. Thanks for the thought though 🩷
That sucks! Such a thorn in the side to a show and life. Hope you can get it all covered by insurance. This is what I call "the grit." It's the grit that will constantly test your drive. Keep going! Don't let those losers derail you.
@@sketchypeoplepdx thank you so much!
I'm sorry for this guys, Washington has gotten worse with this nonsense.
I wish this was closer I would have gone. I don't often venture out with my autoimmune disease but I do like stickers and cute things. I need to keep up with these events.
I am so sorry to hear this happened to you I always leave all my stuff under my artist table covered cause they lock it at night way safer than the car. also if you don’t want to part with or have a few older prints left over somewhere you can always throw them up online as a physical or digital print! ❤
We leave nothing in the car when we leave it, not worth the risk
So sorry that happened to you!!! Yea, happened to me in 2012. Not quite as big a loss as yours, just some sketchbooks, usb keys, and a Nintendo DS with some games.
Did the convention allow you to keep inventory under table? I’ve tabled at some 2-3 day conventions and was allowed to leave stock overnight.
@@MJAYMONONOKE thanks, and sorry to hear about you loosing your items too.
The convention did, but I had heard stories of items getting stolen that way too😅 so I thought it'd be safer taking it with us.
@@bearpixieartstudio7252 thanks! I was fearful of that as well. But thankfully the ppl that have had tables beside me were good ppl. I always stayed till the end, so it was usually the artists left in the building (tho that doesn’t guarantee no theft lol).
Praying that everything goes well for you guys. And I hope that justice is served to those who wronged you. Sending you good vibes! 🙏🏽✨
I really hate hearing you be so hard on yousrlfs. It really sucks that America is getting to a point where people will take anything and everything with no regard for how much people have to work for there things. I'm so sorry this happened. Your great artist and you didn't really do anything stupid. You had security in your car, that just doesn't matter anymore. Love your channel, love your art, love your attitude in life.❤
@@mikey_owens thank you very much! We really appreciate that 🩷. Yeah theft is pretty crazy out there. I hope no one else has to experience something like this.
And thank you so much for your support and kindness 😊😊
I’m so sorry this happened. It was an honest mistake, glad you guys can move forward with things. Best wishes to you guys!
@@metaz4773 thank you very much. 💗 We really appreciate everyone's kind words and support.
