I just found one of your videos on youtube and was intrigued straight away. Subscribed not even thinking about it. Ive been learning guitar for just over a year now and would usually be discouraged by hearing such great playing, but you just hit me with the exact right thing to encourage me. From now on I'll be learning songs from your channel and will take these instructions strongly into count. Thank you for the good content!

Dear Joe, I really want to thank your for your book recommendation of "effortless mastery" by Kenny Werner. Rarely have I found a book which is so deeply touching and helpful at the same time. You really live that book.. Thank you so much. Have a beautiful day!

Did you learn to improvise on an electric and then later on transferred the skill to acoustic? Because I noticed in order to play scales fast like you did requires long hours of practice. But practicing scales on steel string acoustic from the very beginning hurts my wrist and the joints on my hand if I play for too long.

You should spend more time practicing on your acoustic guitar, get used to it

Hey Joe! I had signed up for your course recently and I'm loving it so far. I have a small request, I'd absolutely love to see your interpretation of the song 'With or without you' by U2. Please consider doing it.

I know its not Joe but the RUclipsr Six-string fingerpicking(Chris) did a great Arrangement of that it is capoed tho Chris has amazing tutorials, not as complex as joe but sometimes that's a good thing!

Thanks, @@lurk7967 I've heard his arrangement and it's pretty good. I've been a subscriber of his for a while now. I'm curious what Joe might come up with if he decides to cover it. Additionally, this has to be my favourite interpretation of the song ruclips.net/video/TQagK7mA0Aw/видео.html

In regard to rhythm, I was thinking just last night that in many cases having a good rhythm will cover up a melodic mistake, as somehow dissonance and resolution tend to create a content satisfaction to our ears. Why many guitarists have said over the years that there are no rules, you really make your own up and many of the great players used melodic phrasing that goes against traditional belief. The augmented 4th was once said to be that, back in Gregorian days, but many artists have used it successfully over the years proving there are no rules that are hard and fast. IMO, good rhythm can obfuscate some forms of dissonance until the resolution makes you feel content. Hope that makes sense.

Hey joe There is a challenge for you that you have to play the vocal melody of thinking out loud on top of the guitar melody that is being played in the song
