ABOUT THE MOVIE
Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Wish” is an all-new musical-comedy welcoming audiences to the magical kingdom of Rosas, where Asha, a sharp-witted idealist, makes a wish so powerful that it is answered by a cosmic force-a little ball of boundless energy called Star. Together, Asha and Star confront a most formidable foe-the ruler of Rosas, King Magnifico-to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen. Featuring the voices of Academy Award®-winning actor Ariana DeBose as Asha, Chris Pine as Magnifico, and Alan Tudyk as Asha’s favorite goat, Valentino, the film is helmed by Oscar®-winning director Chris Buck (“Frozen,” “Frozen 2”) and Fawn Veerasunthorn (“Raya and the Last Dragon”), and produced by Peter Del Vecho (“Frozen,” “Frozen 2”) and Juan Pablo Reyes Lancaster Jones (“Encanto”). I liked this song but man that plot was missing so much context. Why was the villian a villian? Cause he says so? makes no sense 😆
I think more questions than answers as a glitch in an otherwise pretty picture
Yeah, he made a super quick turn from just being a 1989 King Triton sort of antagonist to an Ursula after his paranoia led him to reading the evil spellbook. I feel like his reaction to the sky wish was the only pre-spellbook time he seemed to be arguably overreacting.
We really don't know much about how much influence people have giving their wishes or him in granting them. He claims doesn't know how a wish will be fulfilled and is super selective given he can only grants a dozen or so each year. So he grants the ones that are specific and help the community. Not a terrible standard IMO. Given the rate the wishes are granted, I'm not sure why it is a surprise to Asha that most of the wishes will never be granted even if that was the only limitation.
This song is very pretty, but "have something more for us than this" is monkey's paw level vague for a wish. Turns out that he was sort of right that a super-vague wish might be fulfilled by completely rebuilding fundamental aspects of Rosas.
p.s. I have super hard time seeing someone asking for favoritism during their job interview as less than justified reason to pass them over. That seemed totally unnecessary given all the plot needed was to have her told her grandfather's wish was too open ended to be granted.
It looks like he had some trauma from granting certain wishes in the past, but they never explained what happened exactly. I hope we get a deleted scene where they show it!

The magic mirror magnifico is looked in is actually the key making him to head of the villains division & they are disappointed on what side of the story to stick to, & it’s the villains getting their comeuppance to which he is disappointed to know is the truth, but he’s now escaped and after draculura. We need all buddypenians outside of Disney to report to monster high before it ends up at pecking order bottom selection

Spinning the camera around a character is only impressive when it's a 2D drawing
That's almsot certainly CGI. From wikipedia:"blended with computer-animation when 2D alone had too many limitations in terms of camera movements". I know that Futurama did that a few times as well back in the early 2000's to do panoramic movements around a character.

This song is so beautiful and moving. Wish is a real gem, a true masterpiece! It's a perfect tribute to the 100th anniversary and to Walt Disney! It’s magnificent, whether it’s the style or the story (wich has real meaning, about something that was important to Walt Disney) It made us laugh and move so much at the same time! The characters are endearing and funny! Asha with his friends (representing 7 dwarfs) real heroine. Having made the star a character like that is so moving, Star has Mickey's personality and expressions, it's adorable! Magnifico is a real villain, worthy of the firsts Disney villain! The references to other films are super cool and the direct ones to Walt Disney are super moving (especially the "wishing tree")! It reminds me in many ways of old Disney! As an absolute fan of the entire Disney universe and of Walt Disney, I was extremely moved by this film, it transmits great values defended by Disney! It was a great moment, funny, moving, full of dreams, love and hope! Thank you for making this film! It does a lot of good! 🥰😍💖🌠✨🐭⭐🌟

Wish is so awesome and grandiose! The return of 2D and magic! ❤️❤️❤️ They worked so hard on it! It's incredible! It has its own style (like the firsts Disney) which is so beautiful, the 2D/3D mix, the format which is the same as Sleeping Beauty, and watercolor painting style, which can make think of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs, I love! 😍 The characters are all so cool, Asha and her friends (representing the 7 dwarves), I love Star because they gave him Mickey's personality and facial expressions! 😍 The songs are so good, and the music is super powerful, certain musical notes remind me of the first Disney, it's so cool! The story is so beautiful, and super worked, with all the additional references, making wishes meant so much to Walt Disney! Wish is perfect! For the 100th anniversary it is perfect! ❤️🎉🎉 So many emotions! He has such positive energy, it feels good! So moving, catchy and funny! The mix of old and new is incredible! An original story full of magic and the return of 2D! It's a true love letter to Disney movies but also to the history of Disney and Disney fans! ❤️❤️ When they say in behind the scenes "a movie that's giving this love letter to walt" is so true! 😭 This is such a beautiful love letter! 🥰 Thank you Disneyanimation this is what we want to see and feel! 3 Disney characters that I want to make into their own films or series
- The teens, (Disney wish), after I watched Wish and I liked the songs and characters, I started to think, if The teens made their own adventure series, it would be very good, but of course using child-friendly sentences.
- Disney Princess, I also sometimes think, what if all the Disney princesses got together again like in Ralph breaks the internet, but only the adventures of the 19th Disney Princess.
- Princesses Elena and Sofia need their own cinema film, so they can become official Disney Princesses.

I really love your thing, but i like to see the series that focuses on The Seven Teens & Princess Asha

As much I love this song I still find " Throw caution to every warning sign" to be really strange choice. Shouldn't it be " Throw caution to the wind".
It probably means, I seek guidance from the stars and I heed every warning sign they give me. That's why it is not "Throw caution to the wind" which would mean exactly the opposite and would suggest that the heroine does not care about danger.

Best Disney Pixar movie 10 of 10
Watched this movie with my 7 yr old. He asked to leave halfway through. Songs were completely disjointed from story line, story line was disjointed from itself. Terrible movie. Unfortunate because the main voice/character was wonderful.
this script feels AI generated. This is the worst disney movie i've ever seen, such a nothing burger, i rather watch cars 2 or ralph breaks the internet. Ugly Unfinished graphics and for disney that is just shocker, It just looks like slapped textures on the objects and then just vannilla shading. How did spiderverse and tmnt achieve this cool 2D,3D effect but this is a mess, from the artist perspective how is it that i can make this exact setup in blender, how it is that moominvalley worked it all better in the graphics department, also character designs are so bland and forgetable. Plotwise is just confusing, villain is just not good, not engaging to watch. flop
Perhaps it was an artistic choice? If so, they could certainly have made it more stylish.
@@gabrielmcmillan oh it's not artistic choice trust me, that even shows it through how underwhelming this thing was entirely, it's 100% pushed that way by corporate pigs from disney, before this it was planned for this movie to be 2D drawn but they said that it was hard or something, and this is coming from disney that literally was born from 2D animation. That wierd star luma baby was earlier suppose to be a human and from concept arts it looks way better. Overall Disney shows recently their degression in quality (pointing at unpolished full of visual mistakes live action movies). Disney lost it's magic cuz this is tragic.
