For a game that requires you to be silent the footsteps are sure loud as hell
Edit 1: i know it's a demo and when the final game releases, i hope it's more immersive than this. Players shouldn't adjust to feel the game's universe, it's the other way around.
Fr, my munching isn't even that loud 💀
ikr. Death angel can catch a rat running across the floor but not a human making loud footsteps right next to it lol
I realise the sound of sneakers is loud because the player is walking on sand.
Pretty sure that's the point. You don't realise just how loud you are, between clothing, breathing & other functions, until you're in a situation that requires you to be completely silent. It's nigh impossible, which adds to the tension & suspense of the circumstance.
bro fr
These are the loudest footsteps I’ve ever heard in all my life
Weil er nicht schleicht!
Das ist ein reines Stealth Game...
Was im Gameplay komplett vergessen wurde 😂
The Grinch: This is the loudest snow I've ever herd in my life!
@@CraftyM2016oh my god i was just thinking that XD
I make less noise when i wear my boots.
Play any modern call of duty and youll hear godzilla foodsteps
I wish there was noise detection in this game where if you made a noise in real life, the creatures in the game could hear you. Like
In alien isolation
**Fart Reverb**
I was just thinking about that game.
Prob will be this is just early footage after all ofc
Except that's only on consoles, which is pathetic.
Has to be optional because...gaming laptops
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the sounds are so loud as to invoke a sense of fear and dread in us as players. Of course we're going to think we're being loud enough to draw a Death Angel's attention. I think its intended to make us paranoid. Perhaps that's how it feels for the people in the movies. They're so afraid of sound that they're hypersensitive to every little decible of noise.
Exactlyyyyyyyy people are dumb lol
And if were thinking real here, when humans get used to the sound of nothing, everything else is MUCH louder
@@ReloadQuick3rYou literally explained it perfectly 😂 Everything’s louder when it’s silent
Yeah but after 5 minutes you are used to it. A single sound in otherwise silence is so much scarier than just making a shit ton of noise and hoping your audience gets worried that something will happen
Your comment hit the nail right on the head. It always takes a person with brains to get it 😎
Everybody complaining about the loud footsteps, but this would be realistic if it was real life. Just imagine yourself getting home, waaaay passed curfew, you sneak indoors.... the slightest sound you make, sounds like a bulldozer in a death silent house and you just know in the back of your head, your mom or dad or even both can hear you. Even a little sqeak from the door can mean the difference between a good night or a world of trouble. So yeah i think the loud footsteps is meant on purpose by the developers for that psychological feeling of making too much noise with the slightest error.
Tienes un buen punto bro, realmente solo necesitan ser un poquito menos fuertes y ya seria perfecto y realista.
this is true, the problem are the death angel's not detecting them, at least at close range, as shown in the gameplay... it's simply too close
I'mma crawl on my stomach for all I care. I'll be slow as fck but at least no one's gonna figure out the rhythm.
@@temiamone976the immortal snail LOL
@@lumberedjack 😄😄😄 yea bro.
Some of y’all need to realize that if the Death Angels in this were as sound sensitive as they were in the movies, the game would literally be unplayable
Edit: You guys still don’t understand. The fact that you’re in the same building as this thing at all is pretty much a death sentence. A small quiet grunt or cough to yourself would get you killed immediately. That’s how sensitive these things are.
They sure made it work in the movies. If anything, the game could do it better as there's more freedom
It's prob gonna be a difficulty setting, controlling how sensitive of hearing they have.
@@Crimson_Screwball3446
That’s actually not a bad idea
@@theparrishshow9803 yeah, hardest difficulty will be like, movie-like. Hardest achievement to get in the game.
and aren't they basically impervious to bullets?
This game should add mic detector
Yeah, I thought it was going to have one, I mean, come on! This is a game where if you make the slightest noise you die.
yeah, if they add mic detector it could be cool game
Alien Isolation did that
fucking wife walks in the door and its game over lol
worse ideia, imagine being totally silent for like 2 hours straight NO
it looks amazing but i feel like the death angels should be more responsive with footsteps as the footsteps when walking seem too loud for them to ignore especially when they can catch a rat running across the floor like that.
I agree but it would be super boring for the player though, that’s the issue.
I chalk it up to Death Angels being much more sensitive to high-pitch sounds (after all, their weakness _is_ high-frequency sound) so a rat squeaking or glass breaking would alert them much easier and from farther away than the rather low-pitch of a footstep or soft breathing.
Also there's most likely going to be a "realistic" difficulty similar to Alien Isolation where the slightest mistake brings it running.
@@OliTaylor true but they could also just lower the audio of the footsteps making it less noticable or add more movement options
that would make the game way more annoying to play i hope you know that
@@Dr_Decaf 8:16 you can walk right next to one and they barely react. it's literally a "must've been the wind" situation. i'm not saying it should kill you right away just that you'd at least have to sneak or something when there's a death angel a few meters away from you. that or they shouldn't include the thing hearing a rat running across the floor like that.
I always wonder how a person who snored allot would survive this situation
Haha, they don't
That's the best part they don't
Sadly, they don't.
as a person who snores alot i can say pretty sure that we just wouldn't make it even on the first few days xD
(Also if this game will have mic detection then im dead andd hope they'll add an option to turn it off hahah)
@@Myth-EnjoyerWouldn’t not don’t
I'm not surprised there's a videogame of Quiet Place coming. It's prime horror game material.
I'm just surprised it took so long for it to come to fruition, the first movie came out in 2018.
I'm even more surprised that of _all_ handicaps for the main character to have, it has to be asthma XD The only worst thing in this situation would have been terminal lung cancer.
well considering game development takes 3-5 years for an AAA game i'd say this was right on time being that they got inspiration from the 2018 original release. you gotta remember they have to get the licensing first, gather the crew to work on the game, find a publisher, build the game from the ground up, fix bugs, polish it, market it, etc... hell, the first year after the movie released was probably this team pitching the idea to someone to publish it. AAA gaming takes time. especially something this refreshing and not copy and paste like COD.
Well... It feels too perfect and easy if you're playing as a person that's usually quiet and healthy...
Meanwhile, in Multiplayer co-op, your friend makes a noise at your location for laughs.
Ambience and atmosphere? Great. Footstep noises? A little too loud
Tracking device? Kinda Alien Isolation-ish, sure seems usefull but reminds me that "yeah, this is a game and this is a necessary mechanic"

I LOVED alien isolation and this looks like a very similar format so I’m pretty hyped. BUT I hope they work on the sounds for the monster. The footsteps, the screech, the clicking, all of it needs to be louder ESPECIALLY the footsteps.
Why is it that easy? You can’t move around a Death Angel like that. You 100% can’t use an inhaler less than 5 feet away from one.
Death angels in the movie: HERE'S NOYES hipudy hopudy time to rip out your adheres
Death angels in game: it must of been the wind my eaers playing tricks on me
On the death screen there was a difficulty slider so maybe they were playing on easy idk
Probably reserved for harder difficulties. You don’t want to make your base game borderline unplayable or too annoying to play cause then it’ll crash and die
It’s fiction not real life
@@sgtroach1510The movie was fiction too?
Death Angel: What is she doing? I think she's trying to be sneaky.

I can’t wait to play this game, I’ve been waiting for it to come out at least we get a demo before the full reveal!
Cool but for anyone who has deal with any form of metal mounted by screws. THat grate would have been the end lol
Death Angels?
More like
Deaf Angels
Nice 😂
I love the Quiet Place movies but I’m not too sure how a video game in the same world would fare. Yeah I know some noise exceptions had to be made otherwise this game would be impossible and/or impossibly slow, but idk it doesn’t seem like it translates well from movie to game
Facts just doesnt work.
Many movie games exist, from cars to toy story, why wouldn't this work? You have alien isolation
@@crowpond3665 just a thought: maybe they just suck at implementing it properly.
I hope this game has a multiplayer since playing this with friends and a voice chat them trying to sabotage each other would be funny asf
What would make that a bit better for the multiplayer idea, is if one or more people can be death angels. Not entirely sure how it would work, but I wanna know how the death angels see everything (I know they’re blind, but hopefully u get what I mean)
That would indeed be funny @monkwave1682
Needs a breath holding mechanic covering your mouth when the Death angels get close and the longer you hold it, the louder you hear your own heartbeat until you can't and gasp for air due to your characters asthma.
8:19 Interesting creatures they are.
The Death angels in the movies: Oh, do I hear heartbeat?? Welp, time to remove your spine from your body.
The Death Angels in the game: Me hear sound, meh, must have been a oddly shaped air particle.
If I was playing this game it would take me 30 minutes to open one door
This man too confident walking around that fast. I would be creeping around every corner lol
@@NKG13 my guess is because they know they made the game to be REALLY freaking forgiving with the sound detection. Gotta give the game journalists some footage lol
My god those are the loudest footsteps i have ever heard
It's nice but fix the death angels' sounds! They sound like a xenomorph from Alien Isolation
I find it odd that they don't use the original Death Angel sounds from the movies, considering how iconic those sounds are.
To be fair, it’s a demo so maybe it’ll be different in the final release?

@@-Certified_Person- please. Be. Quiet.
@@wrath4452 I ain't wrong for that tho
Ok, I really hope this game will be improved, because those footsteps are way too loud, which makes it hard to believe that the Death Angels don't hear them, considering that in the films, a single sound is enough to aggravate them, hence why in the first film, the characters were walking on bare foot & on sandy paths/roads, so that Death Angels don't hear them to kill them. I understand that this takes place in the city, but if sound is what triggers the aliens in attacking you, then you either wear shoes that don't make as much sound or walk bare foot.
Beware the Sound Seekers 🤫

This is looking rather interesting, I’ll keep a watch posted.
I’ve noticed you all making comment on the ridiculously loud footsteps. While it may look like a misstep in development to the typical listener, I believe it’s actually rather accurate. For often when the situation is dire, and relies on complete and utter silence, your footsteps, your heart beat, and your bated breath, they all sound a thousand times louder to you than they do in reality.
If this was the intention, I believe it’s a splendid detail.
@@IvoryTempestCandleOfStories counterpoint: they can hear someone quietly exhale from several dozen feet away. It’s lazy.
@@wrath4452 That’s a comment on the creature’s hearing abilities, not the subconscious focus on every sound you make, which amplifies said sounds in your head by measure of worry.
We are on two different pages.
@@IvoryTempestCandleOfStories whatever, keep defending a bad game design, sure that’ll go well
There’s no way this woman survived this world with creatures that hunt by sound and she’s walking around like that’s not a thing
Imagine trying to speed run in this
Death angels are anty-speedrun
8:04 I like the part in the garage when the light flashes and the creature just shows up. So cool
IVE NEVER HEARD LOUDER FOOTSTEPS MY LORD
Honestly am having difficulty seeing how the game will be difficult. Also what's up with the utility of that one device the protag is carrying? If that is a sound detector it should be borderline useless. Crouch by the monsters and you're fine, don't step on glass/safety hazards on the floor, don't obviously. Looks like the game should be story driven to keep you in rather than realistic/fun gameplay. Run by atmosphere than anything else.
It helps you seeing the volume of the sounds, so it’s not so useless
Reminds me of alien isolation, which is a good sign.
Ok i never played that game is it any good?
@@masonmancoffey1722I hade multiple heart attacks playing it🫨
It sounds like they have tapdancing shoes with speakers in them... That unwrap candy.
the doors squeaking is 100% enough to get someone killed in the lore so idk why they have EVERY door squeaking
I think A Quiet Place's magic comes from how overcomplicated every action has to be to make no sound, and then of course the presence of only the faintest noises with the only loud thing being the monsters. When you take away the stressful silence, you just have a generic "sneak around the monster" fiasco. They've got crazy hearing, you've gotta do more than sneak.
If I were the player character, I'd just take my shoes off and walk around smoothly in my socks.
Your socks wouldnt last long sadly
with all that water, glass, and blood on the ground? 😮
Find a soundproof roof and wrap heavy duty duct tape around your feet. Won’t last forever but it has decent sound insulation
@@nyladantzler7162 I would simply take my socks off, put my shoes on and my socks on top
Dont get how the death angels can be so quiet with their exoskeletons. they would be tearing up the ground as they walk and the tile of the floor
I'm guessing that, as long as the game doesn't have a health system and therefore a difficulty switch doesn"t make it easier or harder to die due to health loss, the difficulty will only make it so that the death angels can pick up sounds more frequently and more accurately the highier the difficulty, so what might be recommended from the get go is that people cut off ambient music and only allow in game sounds ( and music if that is possible, but since the music setting almost always applies to all music in the game I highly doubt that ) so that the atmosphere is a lot more paranoia inducing, and also play on the highest difficulty to make the setting more realistic and thrilling. Also, they got to make the game a lot less forgiving with sound generation, that gal took a breath with her inhalor right in front of the death angel and it didn't do anything about it.
I've seen the first film and it was great, this game really does remind me of alien Isolation with the device at 2:55 and the feel of the game
This looks great!
Was not expecting a game based on A Quiet Place to ever be made, but I'm interested.
If this game somehow adds noise detection that would be AWESOME!!!
Is it me or does this song will fit perfectly with this game Shadow ~ Livingston
After hearing how loud these footsteps are, and how annoying it is, just from this demo, I'm rethinking about buying this game!
Bro has shoes made out of bags of chips 😂
This is like a mix of outlast and terminator resistance. If nothing else at least metro meets outlast or something with the sneaking away mechanics and the slight combat moments alien isolation is a good comparison to. I'ma be so pissed if this isn't on console too
I feel like the footsteps were designed on purpose
Just to scare tf out of us on if were doing to much noise😭
Ok I'm going to say it now when I watched first seconds to minutes the movements of sliding through crash and hoping over make me think of Outlast Miles Upshur and I loved it and it making me love this even more
Some of yall havent tried sneaking into the kitchen when the kitchen was closed and it shows.

I see a LOT of comments asking “Where can I get the demo?” Or “When is it getting released?” And stuff like that. So it is getting released late 2024, it will be on Steam, PS5, and Xbox. You can currently wishlist it on Steam at the moment. Hope this helps answer some questions!
In a pinch, you could pick up a piece of broken concrete or any other throwable object and chuck it away from you if you made a noise. Death Angles go to the most recent source of sound to investigate it which means this would be a viable tactic.
Not only we are getting a new movie BUT A GAME!?
Bruhh if Michael myers was in this world he'll have a ball cause he's silent lol
Yea, he makes NO noise whatsoever. You wouldn’t know he’s there until it’s too late
I love to see the movies adapted this way. I am concerned about the consistency of noises heard, though.
Well, this is the first Time I’ll ever be saying this, but I’m invested in this horror game.
its soooo alien isolation and im loving it
Finally, my asthma can get me killed like my doctor always warned me when I was a kid.

This is what I’ve been saying, a quiet place needed a video game to it
now this is a game we needed this year can’t wait to play the full version

How is this woman still alive when her grunts and footsteps are louder than the exhaust of an 18 wheeler
the main character would have died 100 times already because he makes sounds that the monster in the movie hears perfectly
Three seconds in and my immersions already broken with how loud the player character's clothing and footsteps are. Are they sure they know what movie they're basing this game off of?
@@lillydevil2486 considering how they had the character take their inhaler like 5 feet away from a monster to no effect, no. They don’t.
Y’all stupid 😂
multiplayer open world survival would go crazy
It's a game, i'm pretty sure those loud steps will come in in some type of scenario in the game, or they're added for more realism, cause you can't be wearing some sort of shoes or move in any way and not make a noise
I definitely believe in those deaf angels
I can't wait for this game. Looks like it's going to be a good one. Hope we don't get disappointed.
The walking mechanics from the old Splinter Cell series would work perfectly on this game. Where you can adjust the walking speed gradually (mouse scroll on PC).
Her walking is like a soldier is marching 😂
Already seems like we can abuse vents since they cant fit in there. Its not like in alien where if you made a sound in a vent the alien would zero in on your location immediately
They still can slash through the vent or destroy it ripping the person inside the vent to shreds. Don't forgtet that the aliens claws are strong enough to cut through metal like it's nothing and they can also climb on walls.
i hope they add that the footsteps are too loud and monsters will hear you. So you will crouch all the time kinda like in isolation, makes the game better imo
A new horror game based off a Quite Place. Now that’s perfect.
would be better if they added the mic features where you have be quiet, a lot of games are adding that now
A game based upon the movie franchise
It needs to add the mechanic of throwing stuff to distract the aliens.
I hope we get a creative mode so we can make this game go on forever
instead of making the creatures ultra, ultra sound sensitive ( which could make the game too hard) they should just reduce the volume of the character such as the walking, so it's quite enough for them not to hear automatically. unless there is going to be an optional super hard ultra sound sensitive mode.
Reminds me of alien isolation
I will buy the game because of the weapons and this thing is nice 10/10
Because currently there are many hide and escape games only without weapons, and this thing is disgusting and not beautiful!
Hopefully, IGN doesn't give this game a 5 because the momsters' AI is too smart. If you know, you know.
They have to add voice system to this, so it would be more scary and tense
It would be nice to have a mechanic that some games use to detect how loud you’re being through a mic
I like stealth but please if you're going to add noise detection please let it be optional so we can stream it and talk to the chat as well.
Imagine if these creatures can hear your mic, that'll make the game even moee challenging and terrifying at the same time
I like that the protagonist's life, body, and choices are all impactful for not just the story, but the gameplay. The asthma mechanic is a great idea, and I can't wait to see how the pregnancy affects things.
Man i was hyped as fuck when trailer droped but when i saw system requrements my hype died down
I hope they make the monsters really sensitive to sound. For example, if you even make a loud sound for even a second, the monster will come rushing to kill you. I don't even know if this is real, but i hope they make the AI really good, and they actually make the monsters blind, not like in other horror games with blind monsters, where in those games, if you get chased and crouch in a random place, the guy will be chasing you and suddenly won't be blind anymore. I hope they make the enemies chase you, and make them REALLY fast, so that it is imperative you don't make any sound. Pls share you thoughts on my comment
