I’m honestly liking this a lot more than what they’ve been showing off for little nightmares 3 if I’m being honest, I would rather get this game first over that one if I had the choice.
I'm absolutely obessed with how much the camera moves, while Little Nightmares was pretty much a side scroller Reanimal feels so much more expansive by how many different directions the camera and characters go, the vertical shot from the stairwell is my favorite
while LN3 may not be the same studio, I still appreciate the fact that they put some care into the game based off the gameplay feat. Best not to judge too quickly though since patience is key.

The giant baby monster just doesn't seem scary and the big theme of "normal things that are scary bc they're pushed through the perspective of a child" seems lost. Kids are scared of teachers and doctors and things under the bed and parent figures and what is in the meal they're being made to eat, not post apocalypse babies.

Call me crazy but the hairy monster with several hands that looks like a spider reminds me a bit of the ‘’faceless‘’ that appears in the movie ‘’Spirited Away‘’ by Ghibli Studios. Remember, when he gets corrupted by being in the bathhouse? The creature he turns into? And he also looks a bit like the first wild boar god at the beginning of the Princess Mononoke movie. Maybe it's an inspiration.
Looking promising. I really hope there’s an option to disable the little white dots on “interactive elements”! One of the best things about Little Nightmares was that it gave zero UI guidance and you just had to work out what you could do, so disabling these little helpful UI elements would be more immersive.
Yeah exactly. We know we could grab onto things with the right trigger, so if it feels like it's possible, we were able to just pull on the door and see, made it feel way more natural

@SpookyCam01 I get that, originally it looked like an open world final fantasy type adventure. Even games like that are now being made more linear and that is sad, it's the wondering that makes it an adventure.

I think it may just be the monster we start out with like how the janitor was the first boss in LN 1 and the hunter was the first boss for LN2 yes I know this is not LN 3 it's just the only thing I can compare it to also in pretty sure the lamb is going to be our main monster
I'm assuming it'll be one of the first monsters we encounter in the game. It's a unique and interesting design for a monster, so it makes sense why they'd use it to grab people's attention. Maybe I'm looking too much into it. The game is still in pre-alpha state, so maybe this section of the game was the most finished to be playable at Gamescon this year.
These types of games, especially with Tarzier don't really do "Main" antagonists, they usually lean towards the world itself being the antagonist and you're trying to survive, the spider is most likely just one of the monsters whose dwelling the player stumbles into
This really, really, really have that eerie mood the game "Inside" and "Limbo" carries. Bleached colors even in bright areas, faint music, little to no info about hostile environment except how you avoid it, etc.
Really confused why they didn’t just make this little nightmares 3. But I’m not complaining. We basically got 2 little nightmares games on the way now!

It's really noticeable that it's not the same creative minds behind this project anymore. Tarsier's artstyle and direction is so unique, their work just can't ever be replicated.
I wish people would just appreciate both Re Animal and Little Nightmares 3. They're both going to be incredible games most likely, judging off the success of the 2 previous games. I love how with every game they improve. Little Nightmares 2 was already a great looking game but they spent time and resources to make a 4k version with reflections and stuff. And now they are using that 4k style as the base game.
The physics and camera angles look incredible. Absolutely phenomenal. Really dynamic and engaging. It really feels like theres peril when any roof shingle could fall and you'd lose your footing
This is better than anything that i can recall from recent years. Brings same feelings as when i played games like Silent Hill or Ico for the first time ages ago.

I thought the same thing at first, but after rewatching it I don’t think those are fellow children, or at least not anymore. In the first shot where the monster roars at the kids, you can see those “kids” climbing up the walls/bridge and hanging onto the monster’s back. They seem like something it uses to help chase you down?
Just a small nit pick on 2:06 the game drops frames. For the future please make the game optimized. Because the new games that are coming out are unoptimized and they run bad. Love this game btw ❤
The guy riding on a (comparatively) tiny bicycle is both hilarious and horrifying, at least in the context of it being clearly a monster you have to run away from.
I extremely loved the Little nightmares francise since i was a kid everytime i see a game with similar style of it my brain just go bonkers mode. Can't wait to watch someone plays this game when its fully released!

Gosh, while still watching this. It excites me whenever a game like little nightmares came because I don't see much of it often in the videogame space. So, so much creation and exploration can be made that Little Nightmare created! I'm excited to see more creative takes on the world building like Little Nightmare's since a game like that hasn't been explored to it's truest potential
This was always the original style of game they wanted but had to leave band for that reason due to the direction they wanted to go in so i think this game is going to be alot darker than there previous titles if you've seen from the beginning they showed certain drawings to band that were animals ect but they weren't feeling that art style so u ended up with Lnm 1 and 2 but hopefully this will blow people's mind s even more because it was there original art direction

There were some paintings for LN1 featuring realistic animals scrapped for "no fitting the visual style" and images with slight gore (IIRC including a harpooned walrus or some other fat animal) scrapped for a "possible ratings issue".

I think for a pre alpha this already looks great the only complaint I have is the kids running looks a little off but other than that it’s great

Gosh, while still watching this. It excites me whenever a game like little nightmares came because I don't see much of it often in the videogame space. So, so much creation and exploration can be made that Little Nightmare created! I'm excited to see more creative takes on the world building like Little Nightmare's since a game like that hasn't been explored to it's truest potential

This was always the original style of game they wanted but had to leave band for that reason due to the direction they wanted to go in so i think this game is going to be alot darker than there previous titles if you've seen from the beginning they showed certain drawings to band that were animals ect but they weren't feeling that art style so u ended up with Lnm 1 and 2 but hopefully this will blow people's mind s even more because it was there original art direction

@@23-14u I think he means the style/images left, not the actual people. There were some paintings for LN1 featuring realistic animals scrapped for "no fitting the visual style" and images with slight gore (IIRC including a harpooned walrus or some other fat animal) scrapped for a "possible ratings issue".

I think the thing that games like this entice me so much is because it actuvates the fear of the unknown as well as the fact we ARE NOT in any way dominant or on compariable levels on the foodchain.
