FIX: Wifi Doesn't Have A Valid IP Configuration Windows 10

  • Having a connection problem on Windows 10? This tutorial will hopefully address your issue and fix your IP configuration issue.
    When you use the Windows Network Diagnostics Troubleshooter to troubleshoot connection issues, you may receive one of the following messages depending on your problem:
    WiFi doesn’t have a valid IP configuration
    Ethernet doesn’t have a valid IP configuration
    Wireless Network Connection doesn’t have a valid IP configuration.
    If you receive such a Wireless Network Connection doesn’t have a valid IP configuration error message then this post may be able to help you. Go through the list of suggestions and then see which one or more of these would apply in your case.
    This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops,and tablets running the Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 7 operating systems.Works for all major computer manufactures (Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, Samsung).

    As of September 2020 this still works. The first method did the trick for me and I can't thank you enough. I had been going at it for hours, combing through hundreds of websites and all it took was your simple and straightforward video. Can't thank you enough

    Thank you very much! I got this new hp laptop for Christmas, decided to finally get up and running. It wouldn't connect.
    I tried what little I know.
    I gave up and looked on youtube. You were the third try, the first two no help at all. Your first set of instructions helped very much and got me going again!

    aight imma try this
    when im in the device manager the intel network thing isnt showing there (answer) cuz im on a surface pro
    anyway if i uninstall it will it automatically reinstall itself??
    its called marvell avastar wireless-ac network controller, do you know anything about that?

    if the ip configuration pops up just for ethernet, would i uninstall the intel ethernet instead? cause im trying to use ethernet

    hey MDTechVideos i have had an issue with my wifi for the past like 3 months now and i think i need serious help about it as i have watched many tutorials and none of them have worked. So basically i use my phone hotspot to play games and every since not that long ago it started acting up on my pc and lets me browse the internet but doesnt let me do anything with servers or any sort of games, when i go into my internet protocal IPv4 it says no network acces but my IPv6 says internet acces. I think this is why i cant play games but can go on the internet. You would be a lifesaver if you could help even just a little bit.

    I was on the phone with Comcast 45 min and they couldn't fix it. They said I should contact with netgear which wanted to sell me subscription for 200 dollars to help me. However, thank God, your video fixed it within 2 minutes. Thank you so much

    Laptop DELL Latitude, Wi-Fi configuration was broken after ON/OFF switching Wi-Fi mode. -- The two "netsh" commands fixed the issue.

    Note: Upon restarting, Windows installed an update so I don't know if the update helped fix the issue too. Still I am thankful I can access all website now.

    Ok so my WiFi says it’s not connected and says that the Ethernet isn’t connected however if I trouble shoot or restart my pc it’s fine but still have the same trouble every time I load up my pc

    I did this once and it worked. A day after, got same issue then i had to do method 1 and 2 again
    Got internet connection then lost it again after 1.5hrs. Is this caused by a virus or malware?
