    Sorry, forgot to turn the AC unit off 😬 Both shoes are a ton of fun, hope you get to try one of them out! Any other questions, hit us up in the comments and check the link description for shop links. Tecton X is out now, Endorphin Edge drops 8/2, remember to go a half size down in both!

    Maybe, considering the ultra, you should rate these the other way around: they are both fast, but in which can you go slow the most comfortable?

    Can definitely tell the Tecton X has a wider footprint for a more stable ride.

    Having found a new love for the endorphin line I cannot wait to get hold of the Edge 👌🏻

    I’d be keen on the Saucony Endorphin Edge as i use the Pro3, Speed3 but i hate the colours.

    So neither if you just run on gravel or dirt roads and basically just need a road shoe with a little bit more grip on the hillparts?

      Tecton X or honestly Nike Peg Trail 4

      Trail version of the Saucony Ride might be perfect for that (if it ever comes out)

    Very interesting comparison and a hard choice 😊 Which would you advice for a 100 km on light trails and some road?

    • @Believeintherun
      @Believeintherun  2 года назад +2

      Really both of these could work! I do think the Endorphin Edge midsole will hold up longer than the Profly+ which seems to compress faster

    I‘m very interested in the Saucony Endoprhin Edge as I love the Speed.
    Is the Tecton X really that much more stable? With it‘s 35/29 Stack it should be quite similar to the Edge. I‘m currently still racing in a Speedgoat Evo so I‘m used to high stacks.

    • @Believeintherun
      @Believeintherun  2 года назад +3

      Tecton X has a wider base, plus the Endorphin Edge is a more narrow heel and Peba is way more bouncy/air-filled than even the nitrogen-infused ProflyX so it's definitely more unstable. The Endorphin Edge is basically the Speed feel on trails

      @@Believeintherun Thx for the reply, than I might have to reconsider purchasing the Edge. Let's see how the NNormal shoe turns out.

    Tecton feel faster also more tight at front , may be max hm for me .Both ok for technical trail , for long distance I prefer Edge.

    Maybe the Endorphin Edge in pink sizes different...the blue pair I just got fits smaller than my Endorphin Pros in the same size

    Hi, I was wondering if the Endorphin Edge or Hoka Tecton X is stiffer in the forefoot? I have big toe arthritis so it is best to have a stiff shoe (run in Bondi X on roads). Thanks!

    Tecton X over the Saucony Edge for road to trail then? :)

    In my opinion the new Salomon Pulsar Trail is cheaper and a better option over these two!

  • @LeedsSTL

    Run in Endorphin Speed 1,2 and Pro 1 and 2. Both in size 12.5. The Endorphin Edge in 12.5...nope. toe box is not free enough with that thick guard up front. Real bummer. Not sure about going up to 13

    would you use either for the winter?

    • @Believeintherun
      @Believeintherun  2 года назад +3

      Specifically for snow? Not the Tecton, I actually did a couple 16 mile runs in snow in the Tecton and that exposed midsole does not fare well. Still runnable just doesn't dig in very well. Endorphin Edge would be a lot better with the longer lugs.

    Looking for a new hiking shoe. Been using Saucony Peregrines for a while, but been looking at the Tecton X. Know you guys are runners, but could you comment on the tecton X for distance hiking at a 2-4 mph pace?

    This might be one of those comparisons where the two shoes are different enough with different enough use cases that they shouldn't really be compared head-to-head.

      Yeah but on paper they seem similar (carbon plate, lightweight, race day shoe) and everyone wants to know what makes them different, so that's what we're here for
