Not often. This was because the boat had been sitting in a harbor for 6 months. When you’re sailing frequently maybe you go down once or twice a season and clean the hull but with more like a kitchen sponge than a paint scraper.
I did that job on a boat in the Guadiana river, it was covered in oysters, hadn't moved in years. I could barely see the prop. One oyster had grown over the engine cooling intake. I used a rope looped under the hull to pulled myself down with and hold in position, was breath holding.
I'm not a big ASMR guy and I prefer your classic videos including bits of wisdom, however it was quite interesting to get a bit of an insight into how much time it must take you to maintain the boat - even if this was a sped up version.
Hi Dylan. Where are you located? Are you experiencing more soft or hard growth on your hull? How long ago did you apply antifoul, and is this the first time you are doing this cleaning since you applied the anti foul? Thank you
Hey dump the scuba tank and BCD. The time to set up the scuba gear is crazy. Then after the job you have to take the tank for refilling and once a year test. Get a portable battery hookah system like the PORTAHOOKAH and you can be in and UNDER the water in under 30 seconds and you have 4 hours running time before simply plugging in an recharge a battery!
A bit different than what I’ve posted in the past. Let me know what you think. Do you enjoy a longer video?

The first realistic boat scrub I have seen from any sailing channel. It look like alot of effort. No wonder most people put it off.
nots not alot effort i used do them with old piece of carpet if really bad plastic spatuala took about 15mins per tops including changing zincs.
You’re right, that was strangely satisfying. Can’t believe I watched the whole thing :)
Bizarrely entertaining! And yes, certainly relaxing. I nodded off after five minutes!😜

Definitely Therapy and Satisfying.

Satisfying to watch for sure
Those new hydrojet cleaners are the ticket
Your life is so complicated and yet so simple at the same time! And I think I can watch another 30 mins of this.. 😁
Good video. I large drywall scraper my help cover the hull surface faster.
This was literally just 30 minutes of satisfying underwater boat cleaning

How much time had passed since your previous cleaning?
What are you using to scrape?

Like your philosophic peaceful voice not keen on subtitles prefer your interesting content ...
I kept finding myself trying to reorient you with my foot position, as one does when they are underwater.
really a bottle lol
Let's see how she handles now.
AMSR is supposed to be relaxing. This gave me anxiety from all the faulty gear, struggling and mask leaking. Fuck sake.
I like when you talk, boat cleaning not very entertaining…
