This is the best review I've seen so far. I'm here because I'm I bought this truck used and I love it. I have the LT plus package and it's worth every penny. My Silverado is a 2018 with 64K miles and it looks and sounds brand new.
I have a 2018 Silverado LTZ71 with 62,xxx miles currently and it handles the snow here fantastic, has plenty of pulling power, and its fairly easy to work on like my older 2009 Silverado was.
Probably the best review I've seen for this truck. Couldn't find any others without some guy complaining about how the interior isn't leather or reading off the brochure. Very real world things I care about like burnouts, driving in traffic, and how a 6' person fits in the back seat. Thank you!
Great Video. I took delivery of my 2018 Chevy Silverado double cab 4x4 LT with the V-6 engine. I love this truck as having power windows, door locks, AC, info center, heated top and bottom power drivers seat in cloth ( I hate leather) remote start, it's all I need and got it for 33,100. I don't do towing really anymore and the V-6 gets 18 MPG with all city driving. Two dirt bikes and all the gear in the back at 75 miles an hour HWY averaged 22.5. Straight Hwy would be 25 to 27 MPG with nothing in back. It's my 8th Chevy truck in thirty five years and they always more reliable than any ford or dodge owned by people I know.
Your welcome. Last week I had to toe our full size Mercedes Sprinter loaded with equipment with just under 3000 miles on the odometer of my truck with the V-6 it didn't have the power of an eight but once it was pulling on the Hwy it was fine; averaged 16 MPG on the HWY pulling it with a strap; of course the mileage went down to thirteen on the city streets.
Great review, Ihave a 2018 Silverado LT 1500 with the 5.3 liter V8. I have the tow package and installed helper springs to pull a half ton lite fifth wheel. Towed over 2000 miles without any problems. Plenty of power over the hills and average between 12 - 15 mpg.
Good video review. Good quality too I can tell you take extra time and effort in this video. Are you still creating vehicle car reviews? I also appreciate reviews of used, older cars as well. 80s, 90s early 2000s. They are super interesting to me and co workers. Looking to watch vehicle car reviews on vehicles that we can afford since it's older and used. Thanks again and hello from Seattle Washington.
I just bought a 2018 a few days ago. Got an amazing deal and it only has 13000 kms on it. 🙂🙂. And I'm back in a Chevy. I have had 4 silverados now and 2 Fords. My last ford was a platinum which was cool but I had to be back in a Silverado
Thanks Rob. Very good video. I am currently leasing a 2018 Silverado 1500 z71with the 4.3 V6. Love the truck...but will definitely go with the V8 next time or possibly the diesel engine option that are coming out this year.
Why do people think the keyless ignition is the end all? Still have to have something in your pocket and I can turn a key just as easy as push a button. I was more concerned with trailering capacity and a smooth quiet ride.
When are they going to issue a recall for the thousands of transmissions that overheat when you tow with this truck? I went from a 2004 Silverado with the 4.8l fuel efficient power plant, to a 2018 5.3l alcoholic with a transmission that can't go more than 100 miles before I'm on the side of the road. Love Chevy's. Life long bowtie man here. They need to fix this issue. They are pretty though, aren't they.
I believe the amount of sales for Ford is higher nationwide, it’s just hard to believe where I’m from it seems like there are a lot more Silverado’s compared to fords, I wonder if it is just more Chevy in the south.
Excellent review! I am thinking of adding a truck to my channel which currently consists of my 2019 Corvette experiences. This review was very helpful!
Stuck on this and a GMC Sierra of the same trim. GMC a little more pricey but feel like it’s worth it. Anyone have any input? Looking for a solid crew cab for myself and my kids. Chevy or GMC only
I traded my 2015 Ford F150 in yesterday for a 2018 Silverado with literally 1,000 miles on it! I love my Silverado. My F150 Transmission Lead Assembly died at 62,000 miles, 2,000 miles after the powertrain warranty expired. It's a chronic issue on the F150. That's when I said bye, bye to Ford!
This is a great video...everyone has there opinion I'm actually a gm tech I absolutely love these trucks I'm not biased I work on all of them I own 2018 silverado LT plus package fully loaded almost LTZ minus leather ans sun roof I got crew cab in tricoat white color its stunnung color and a beautiful truck. These trucks rarely have major problems not saying repairs aren't done but there minimal I like the 2018 model better than upcoming 2019 body style and front end look.I'm not a fan of push button start or auto stop which will be on 2019 model...There are great rebates and discounts on 2018 so if your in the market for this truck go ahead and get yourself one....
Good comments. The start stop option belongs on cars designed to have them such as hybrids where it's all designed to work in harmony. Many times these starters don't last and when it comes time to replace they are expensive
Got mine with 50 thousand km on it, love it, but the downshift from 2 to 1 can be harsh. Ive read its a common thing. Anyone else have this and is it something to worry about?
