- In this video I talk about the state of Crash Team Rumble. An article stated that after the frist month of the games release, it got already pushed out of the top 200 played games on Playstation. Well said, I had fun with the free trial but don't think I'd enjoy it enough to buy it, but if it was F2P I can see myself playing a few hours a week and if I could get my friends into it who knows
They should also take off that Playstation Plus PayWall... I'm sure players will come pouring in once that's gone.
I knew this was going to happen even before launch. It’s so repetitive and there isn’t enough new content to keep players. It’s basically Crash On The Run all over again. If they implement new game modes and really ramp up new content and stuff like that then it might last a little longer but I’d be really surprised if hardly anyone still plays it around Nov/Dec.
100% I also expected this. And i'm pretty sure they also expected this because of how little marketing they did. It shows me they had little faith in this product
If they really want to make a game to last a good few years they have to remake a kart racer include PC and push the marketing

This game had so much potential they screwed up the marketing and the promotion this would have been a good wacky game
I believe in TFB because they also listen to the fans and what else is needed in the game like making the bots smarter. They did so well with Crash and Spyro in the beginning and we should not give up hope to them just yet.
I feel like Crash Team Rumble needs more mode for people to continue playing the game. Only one mode isn’t enough to keep its player base going. Another thing why people isn’t playing Crash Team Rumble is that it doesn’t have an offline mode like single player or adventure mode. I think the gameplay is fun and chaotic sometimes. One of the issues is that if this game gets shut down in the future, nobody won’t be able to play it anymore and there’s no way to preserve it. It’s pretty to early for Crash Team Rumble to start dropping player base in my opinion. I really hope that season 2 will bring in new characters and maps for people to continue playing. I bet that it could be part of PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass in the future. We’ll see how it goes.
We all knew that the game would go downhill if TFB didn't at least make the game an open beta at the start. It's sad to see this game that had an opportunity to have a huge fanbase but was instead used as a money making machine using our beloved Crash Bandicoot ☹️
I feel like the game needs a custom game mode like the creative mode for Fortnite
So people can make creative things

The fact that a month in and it’s already got a free trial and a sale isn’t boding well.

This game needs an overhaul where not only it can be played offline, but also can be played online on P2P servers, players can make their own servers, no need to have Activision, TfB and Microsoft as the middle man.
This article is not indicative of the game btw. Even I called it out. Their statistics are only in-house, and HAS NO CONNECTION TO SONY STATISTICS. They're a 3rd party, meaning whatever tools or methods they use to gauge actual numbers is more often than not: inaccurate and highly improbable. The matchmaking issues you are facing is not on you only, Niel. This is with everyone including me, CrashBeyond, CGE, DaveAce, and all others. This is a problem within matchmaking, not that there are no players. The stupid fix for this is you gotta keep trying 2-3 more times to THEN be put into proper lobbies. Since you said that you had this problem "numerous times", then there's your answer lol. It's the game not working properly. The article and this issue are weeks apart. They have nothing to do with each other. This issue was introduced with the Sticky TNT.
The Sticky TNT stupid limitation is... well... unanimous. I hate it. You hate it. People were HIGHLY VOCAL with it during Ripper Roo's event, but that's the big problem... it doesn't matter where they put the main big thing (i.e. new character or power-up). It's just the fact that it's there to begin with. It sucks. It doesn't reeeeallly take away from the fun of the game, but... it's just stupid that this is a thing that we have to complain about AGAIN after being vocal. I get that this is their very first live service game they are leading, but come on dude.

The costumes and skins so far have been pathetic, espeically compared to Nitro Fueled
I didn’t know the game even came out until a week or 2 ago
I knew obvious recolor cosmetics were going to be added but I hope they eventually add cosmetics based on crash's past such as Twinsanity, Mind Over Mutant, etc.
We need the battle pass increased to 200 at least, with the last 100 levels unlocking legendary and epic costumes every 10 levels.

I get your point but honestly the ctr battlepass isn't really that rewarding.
Most of the items you get are either duplicates with different color patterns or emblems. Thats like 75% of the battlepass the others are few skins and emotes

Crystal flag sounds like a good idea, capture the flag mood, i came up with that in 5 seconds of it needs more modes. Having it to where you would have to control an area to retrive it or even have a control area mode like king of the hill but it be aku and the other one where you have to either capture or keep the players out of certain team capture areas. There is so much they can do with the history itself. Really though i want a crash bash remake. Now that was a brawling party game
When this was announced I was very curious in the beginning but began to have hope when the close/open beta came along. I did not play it but I watch a streamer whom played every day for 8-10hrs. I got bored watching after 2 minutes. They are ruining the Crash franchise. Give us Crash 5 instead so we can forget that this game exist
Just give the IP to someone other than Toys for Bob.
TfB are unreliable when working with an established IP since they run their own ideas and ignore everyone elses.
That might seem like a good thing to many Crash fans... until they realise they miss the PS2 era stuff.
It's a lot more fun once you actually get the game. It's not very fun to watch, though the gameplay is great.
yea I get the game, I´ve played similar one´s before. But it just is not appealing to me enough. Yes I watch hours of a good streamer of mine, just so I could maybe like it. But its no variety. Its just get 2K before the other team. The gameplay itself seemed interesting and I might play it now on the free trial, just to feel the gameplay myself@@LemonFuture
This is what happens when you put out an incomplete game with less content then crash bash. No plot, a small hand full of characters compared to nitro fueled and a few stages. This game should have been spyro 4 or crash 5.

Honestly, they really could’ve remake Crash Bash, which is what we’ve been asking for the longest time, bring this plus any past Crash party games into CB Remake. Man online would be a banger.
I played this thanks to the free weekend, pretty fun but repetitive as heck. They have something but it’s executed poorly. “I hope S2 is better”, kinda sad that online games rely on Battlepasses and seasons for the game to be improved or for the player to have a glimpse of hope for the game to be even better next season, “Just wait next season, surely they’ll make it better”. If you don’t have my attention on Day 1 then you’re really not worth playing. Your game should be a banger on Day 1, don’t have to wait for a future update with more modes and stuff.
The only thing that will make people to play this game more is for toysforBob to make it free. I am honestly annoyed that this game is not free to play toys for Bob should learn from Fortnite
Don’t forget that this is just the season 1 of this game. I’m not saying they are terrible and money hungry company, think of it like an experiment for TFB to see every single aspect how the game performs. I think it’s just the marketing and monetization making this game questionable to get on for new players. We don’t know what TFB is planning and we’re hoping Season 2 will do much better and taking away stupid things like you said; the collectable limitation each day. And i agree, adding more ways to play other than collecting 2000 wumpas might be the answer. TFB and Activision need to learn from Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, which is quite a successful game at launch and also post season 1 until season 8 contents.
Heard there's going to be a free trial for the game which great for folks who doubt that the gameplay is addicting (Should have been there way sooner but better late than never). I'll try out the free trial but as of actually purchasing CTR, ill have to put Crash Team Rumble on a wait list cuz 1, it needs more modes and 2, I already got like 2 games to get for Fall so im gonna save money for them. Plus other personal stuff i need to get for the season

I played the free trial for a couple hours over the weekend and enjoyed it but it feels too much like it should be F2P for me to be willing to drop the £25 to buy it, especially with how packed September/October is for games
@@XzMattyxZ Naw it was to f2P, then Activision would go wild with the mtx. However ya I played the trial n it was fun for 2 days, but then my fun lvl have started to decrease for the next day. I'm just going wait for the other modes and the price drop for next year cuz agree, Crash Team Rumble right now ain't worth getting. Especially for Fall, that season is pack with must play games to get
This game lacks a single player mode and really any sort of offline options. That's why i skipped it.
Nothing wrong with it being an purely online game of course but it's just not for me.

Not every franchise can handle a multiplayer only game. Crash is popular but how many kids do you know that'd drop Fortnite or Roblox to play this. It's not necessary. The more multiplayer games we get, the more they have to share the community.
All they had to do was make Crash Team Racing 2, or give us a pc port of Nitro Fueled.
the ultimate fix would've been making this game a free addon to Crash 4 than it's own thing, because your not only paying for the game, your paying for the online service too which doubles the price of this game instantly unless you already have it
Really hope the Toys for Bob team sits down and does a deep inspection of the games current state and it's flaws. They did a great job with the concept but the game feels very bare bones and unfriendly. Especially to new players throwing them into a match with level 100's after they learn how to play but have no experience. Huge turn off. After playing 5-10 matches theres no true reason or drive to continue playing unless you are a completionist or very good at the game then you are out of luck. Very bad to see the game go on sale and have a free trial barely after it's release. Right now is Toys for Bob's time to fix the game since it's still new. If they don't play their cards right now it will hurt the game in the long run as it will be too late by then.
A game that was doomed before it launches, some fan boys said the price is justified now the game is nothing more than a ghost town.
In my opinion, the game should've been a brand new party game. Why make a game with only one mode ? Collecting wumpa fruit and bringing them back to your team's bank was going to become repetitive for a lot of people. I just feel like they were being delusional thinking that one mode was going to hold people's interest for this game. I'm just ready for Crash 5 and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled 2 at this point.

What happened with the promotion of this game? I heard about the wumpa league, and then that kinda disappeared and didn't hear anything. Then, 1 day I was on amazon trying to buy Aliens dark descent because that was coming out june 20th, and there it was crash team rumble. No warning of promotion it was like theres a new crash game and thats it.
@@TheWoLFiNaToR19it was first revealed at last year's game awards, then radio silence for months, then we only found out about details of the game not from activision themselves, but cuz cge interviewed toys for bob.
Then when they actually started promoting the game, a lot of ppl who didnt go out if their way to know more about the game were confused as to what the game actually was, and thats because of how vague the actual trailers were
an early sign of the crash series heading towards a second death

I don't necessary think that Toys for Bob would be in the wrong for the state of the game, there was mainly from there was a lack of advertusement to it could be soemthing related towards Activision itself, theres plenty of factors for the state of Crash Team Rumble
The game should really add a penalty for leaving. Like No XP next match or 10, 15 then 30 minutes wait. The bots just ruin matches.
They need to make the game actually competitive for people to stick around. An extra incentive to keep playing like with a ranked mode or another mode in general

I've played the free trials they have on the weekends but I'm not gonna get ps plus just for 1 game they should just make it like CTRNF have a offline mode and have internet connection with no ps plus requirements to play the game so everyone can play the game and that's why I haven't brought the game.
Played 10 games of the free trial, repetative, controls felt off, combat was mostly button mashing, and it all felt like no matter i did it didn't make much difference as to which team would win, out of my control

To be honest crash team rumble is my favorite game and I got everything from events and the battle pass but I am still worried of makes low number of characters,powers and other customizations we really hope we see more seasons and keep making the game more addictive especially zap trap and making it limited time doesn’t make people super excited we want pit stop like ctr nitro fueled to make it better and I hope in the upcoming seasons we see a lot of new characters and more but I have a lot of fun until now but I still want the game to do better
Toys for bob said that what we saw in the game is a slice from what is coming in future seasons and that made me more excited and I love it but we will still see a lot very soon…

7:15 This is nothing new. Time gating, FOMO, limiting so people can't grind to get ahead of the curve to get a few days without having to play the game... it's all to boost player retention. It's been a thing for years and it sucks and... told ya so about this one, too.
The facked its 40$ with a cash shop and sesion pass was enough for me to not tuch it especially sins the game dus not look fun at all and super rapetative we would have bin wayyyy better off with a bash remake

The main issue is this isn't the next game that Crash fans asked for. I've been playing Crash games for years but a MOBA Crash Bandicoot game wasn't on the list. I'd rather do an open-world 3D platformer over this. Crash never had the same staying power as Mario or Sonic.

You know why Crash Team Rumble is failing because Activision is responsible for making this game failing for focusing on Call Of Duty with the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 no not 2011 game one but new one for this year that's what Activision focusing on Call Of Duty Not Crash Team Rumble
Activision is only a publisher, they are not responsible for the development of the game. Toys for Bob is the developer

Just noticed the game has gone on it's first PSN sale, I came to look how the game is doing before buying. I guess not great.

Well its playerbase on Xbox is pretty high so it not being on Playstation's top 200 doesn't really say much about if the game's playerbase is dying (and the game is owned by Activision (now owned by Microsoft) not Sony)
Also I think that matchmaking issue may be a problem with your internet or a bug, because I've never heard of that (and all the lobbies I join are usually filled in a few seconds, even with cross-play off)
Also I don't know how you can say there's no level 100s in between limited events, when there's so many of them you can't play at certain hours of the day or you'll be bullied by sweaty nerds.

Let's not beat around the bush this game is awful and is fun for about a hour due to it being extremely repetitive. It would have been so much better if toy's for bob listened to the crash community even if that meant delaying the launch. There is absolutely no way this game deserves the price tag it has. Also let's not forget it isn't a one off cost either as in order to play you need a active subscription to get online.
Those who don't need a active subscription to play their game's in my opinion are not going to pay for a subscription for this game. Even if it was on pc and no subscription based on the current game it's extremely difficult to see fair value for money for the price of the game. Pc release with at least 50% off may attract me to buying it on the current game and even then thats a big May.
