  • Hi my LOVIES! In this video, I share with you something that Tre and I are intentional about and practice everyday in our relationship! It allows us to grow individually and creates a more peaceful, enjoyable, and harmonious environment and lifestyle for our marriage. It's absolutely the next best thing to sex in a relationship...and, sometimes, may be even better! Seriously! Watch the video to find out what I'm talking about! Love ya!

I love this! Would it be possible to have Tre by himself to talk about his view on your differences? I feel as women we get our points but hearing a mans point of view can be beneficial.

Good question! I can definitely see if he would be open to this idea...you know he loves to talk lol!

This is spot on and perfect! I appreciate and love the example of marriage I have been able to watch through your vlogs. It's so beeutiful! You have always been centered around allowing each other to be freely yourselves. Thank you for the amazing and true example! 💛

Thanks so much Erica! I am grateful for the opportunity to encourage and inspire others, and especially couples, on this platform! To hear you say that is so rewarding!

This is sooooooo good! I took notes 📝 My husband and I just celebrated our 15 year of marriage and guess what? I am still learning him and he is still learning me. We grow much more when we remain students in everything! Thanks for being so vulnerable and brave! Your courageousness is infectious!

I hope I am not being a "Debbie Downer" great vlog, excellent subject matter, etc..I think for me, I need to hear how Tre supports you on your individuality even though I have some clue since I do follow you guys on RUclips and Instagram, I guess, like sherd303 expressed, it would be encouraging to get a guy's point of view. I always see and hear how we as women do whatever to support our men, but I would love to hear more about men doing whatever and sharing how they support their women. BTW you guys are my FAVORITE vlog couples.....I started out subscribing to your channel when entering into the world of RUclips.

Thank you so much for your continued support! And you are definitely not a “Debbie Downer”!! Your opinion matters and is shared by many! We are definitely working on a video to address his side of the opinion so look out for that video coming soon!

This was such a great topic and being that you all have been together so long, it’s beautiful to see that you give each other the space to be YOU. I found myself recently discovering that I had lost myself in a maze of meeting everyone else’s needs in our household instead of my own. When my spouse and I talked about it several times, we concluded that I needed to pursue me and he was very supportive. It was a purposeful balance that I am still discovering as I’m not the same person he began dating in 1999. It wasn’t him that wasn’t allowing me to be me, it was me all along. Thank you for this vlog and I’m looking forward to the next.

Wow, so well said. Yes, it’s so easy for us to get lost in the everyday business. But it’s awesome when we can see through the chaos and recognize that our self matters and we should be intentional about showing our first love (yourself) some love. 💜

Thanks for sharing Tia. My husband and I will be married for 9 years this January, I am 42 .Our daughter is 5 and our son will soon be 8. To piggy back off what you said, remembering the friends that you are (generally speaking) is the key. Sometimes we in life can be married and forget who we were when we were friends because we get so wrapped up in being wife or husband. A good relationship is a blessing. Perfection doesnt make it good. Love, respect, honor, communication and trust and most importantly; having God as the foundation in ones life both individually and corporately is what makes a good relationship. Thanks again for sharing. Blessings~

This is sooooo true! After the first 3 months of attempting to “play house” and be the “perfect” version of a wife and husband, we decide to take it back to the basics and just be friends again! This is a piece of how we formed our strong foundation.

Tia, thanks for sharing this! It would be great if you could do a follow up or part 2 of this that talks more about you and how your differences from Tre? What are the things that you do for yourself to retain a sense of self? And how does Tre play into that aspect of helping you be you?

Have you considered using a mic? The volume of your voice would trail off depending on what you were saying.

I have one actually lol. I feel it’s hypersensitive and that my voice seems super loud, but I should give it another try for sure!
