The Pulpit Rock Lookalike - Hiking to Hengjanenibbå in Norway

  • The Pulpit Rock (Preikestolen) is one of the most visited natural attractions in Norway, for a very good reason. It features stunning views and a very special plateau. But with more than 300 000 people visiting every year it can get quite crowded. Therefore we decided to hike a bit further to a place called Hengjanenibbå (yeah, that's a mouthful). Like the Pulpit Rock it features a plateau sticking out of the mountain towards the fjord below with stunning views, but unlike it's more famous version, this one is almost completely free of tourists!

    How long did the trip take one way ?

      I can't remember exactly, but I think it was about 3-4 hours. Takes a bit longer if you also go to the viewpoint above where the photo at 5:56 was taken from. Our trip was about 9 hours in total, including the viewpoint and a fairly long break to eat lunch, take photos, timelapses and so on.
