    I have this watch and it’s super stunning! The polishing is out of this world and that deep deep blue is so sexy ❤

    What is the difference between this watch and the SBGX265, besides the diameter of the watch of course? I am asking because this one is 30% to 40% more expensive

    • @WristwatchDiaries
      @WristwatchDiaries  5 месяцев назад +1

      Different Quartz movement, No jumping hour, but the main difference is the case design you are getting the famous 44GS case design, the watch that first embodied the Grand Seiko Style. That being said the sbgx265 is incredible if you can still find it.

    • @DerNeueGeist
      @DerNeueGeist 4 месяца назад

      Other than a slightly expensive movement, main differences are 44gs case design and 5 link bracelet which are both harder to produce due to more detailed processes. Some might prefer SBGX265 just for its aesthetics. I can say that price differences between GS models are mostly about production costs. A 2k GS and 12k GS are very similar in terms of quality and craftsmanship but processing time and production costs make a lot of difference of course.

      @@Cortesevasiveboth are superb, but I feel GS more high end and having more prestige

    • @Cortesevasive

      Peopl who want prestige wont buy Seiko or Citizen anyway xD. Citizen is more accurate and more affordable, also more understated like nobody knows about it which is what you want. @@MrPician

    Looks fantastic! Congratulations. Do you know how long the battery will
    Last? Thanks

      According to Grand Seiko about 3 Years, you will notice when the battery is getting low because it will Tick every two seconds to preserve battery life.

    Could be great but the after sale services and guaranty are extremely poor . Not recommended at all or play russian roulette.

    The watch is great but the US service center is horrible! My hi beat used to run 1 to 2 sec a day and after warranty service it runs 10 to 13 seconds and they keep shoving in my face their on wrist standard is +8 to -1 a day. They dont even meet their own standard and they keep saying its normal for a mechanical watch. What a bunch of BS! My $260 Islander runs 0 to +1 sec a day with a NH34 movement! No more seiko or grand seikos ever again for me. Also note grand seiko and seiko service center is at the same address so no wonder they think +45 to -35 is an acceptable and normal spec!

      I keep hearing that the US service center is a terrible experience. But I think you should give Grant Seiko another try

      @vktravellog1242 - you weren’t to know but for future reference if you own a GS it’s probably worth the investment to send it back to Japan for servicing, or just vacation in Japan every five ~ ten years and do it whilst you’re there 👍

    I just received my SBP005. And for the price it was a little dissapointing. With no lume at all, Holes through the lugs and no screw down crown. Come on Seiko for the price you can do better. You can get a lot more watch for less with other brands

    • @WristwatchDiaries
      @WristwatchDiaries  2 месяца назад +2

      I believe that the holes though the lugs are iconic design part of a watch but that is just me, as for the screw down crown yes !! I agree I would love to see that in all watches regardless of water resistance

    • @tomsterr1904
      @tomsterr1904 Месяц назад +1

      The screw down crown is not really needed in this model as you rarely need to adjust anything. And this is not a diver watch.
