@@JacobsFarmLife I wish, it has a sprung engine rod because I accidentally ran the machine without knowing that it was low on oil and the engine started knocking. It’s going to need the kingpin rebuilt/replaced, it has a steering fluid leak, it has a leaking piston on the boom, one of the brakes doesn’t work, and it needs a new seat (all it has for a seat is the pan that the original seat went on)

Because , vehicles that have sit unused for a number of years, we tend to workon them in spurts! With these old trucks jury rig up a marine gas tANK' or a modern plastic marine gas tank with another fuel filter, and a gas line hose to your pump bypassing the main old tank, that you do not still know is covered in powdered rust ! is simply good procedures and well worth your while ! Always prime the carb with a VERY LITTLE BIT OF GASOLINE INTO THE AIR HORN OF THE CARB, INSTEAD OF CRANKING THE SHIT OUT OF IT! AS YOU DID! Your overheating was 98% a stuck thermostat! Not a water pump that has a bit of wobble in it due to age! Any worn water pump of those years that does not pour out coolant, like a steady flow, may be worn, but it is doing its job! You would know the minute you filled up the radiator! simply put a clean large pan under the rad and pump erea of the engine so as to recover any coolant if there is a serious leak! and instead of driving the truck like you did, you the doctor....should have stood at the front grill of the truck on a small step ladder and listened to the engine as it ran, for any noises, and touching the lower and upper rad hoses to see, after ten minutes or so, that the upper hose was getting hot! then you would have known that the thermostat was opening to cool your 330 cu in V8 or your 361 cu in v8! Sir I am not any better of a man that you , or smarter! The problem with these videos is that good procedures and bad procedures are presented to those who are interested, and bad procedures are copied by guys who know no better! also safety! Always have a 20 lb or larger fire extinguisher ready at hand with old trucks ! also, any old truck you intend to use install a main battery kill switch accessable from the driver's seat! One of my F600 trucks started cranking and melted down the whole wiring system right in front of my eyes , while i struggled to disconnect the battery in a pannick! Having it rebuilt was a good idea. I am sorry Sir but pulling the truck with a tractor , with the truck in gear was a brutes way of getting the engine to turn over! Not good !
YOU DIS AGREE? FINE SIR i WILL NOT ARGUE WITH YOU! Next putting fresh gasoline in an old dry tank, after you paid to have the carb job? is not so smart! If you ever do that again,
always install an in-line visible paper gas filter between the fuel pump and the carb! It will also
show you if your pump is pulling gas up! With these old trucks jury rig up a marine gas tANK'
or a modern plastic marine gas tank with another fuel filter, and a gas line hose to your pump
bypassing the main old tank, that you do not still know is covered in powdered rust ! is simply good procedures and well worth your while ! Always prime the carb with a VERY LITTLE BIT OF GASOLINE INTO THE AIR HORN OF THE CARB, INSTEAD OF CRANKING THE SHIT OUT OF IT! AS YOU DID! Your overheating was 98% a stuck thermostat! Not a water pump that has
a bit of wobble in it due to age! Any worn water pump of those years that does not pour out
coolant, like a steady flow, may be worn, but it is doing its job! You would know the minute
you filled up the radiator! simply put a clean large pan under the rad and pump erea of the engine so as to recover any coolant if there is a serious leak! and instead of driving the truck like you did, you the doctor....should have stood at the front grill of the truck on a small step
ladder and listened to the engine as it ran, for any noises, and touching the lower and upper
rad hoses to see, after ten minutes or so, that the upper hose was getting hot! then you would have known that the thermostat was opening to cool your 330 cu in V8 or your 361 cu in v8!
Sir I am not any better of a man that you , or smarter! The problem with these videos is that good procedures and bad procedures are presented to those who are interested, and bad procedures are copied by guys who know no better! also safety! Always have a 20 lb or larger fire extinguisher ready at hand with old trucks ! also, any old truck you intend to use
install a main battery kill switch accessable from the driver's seat! One of my F600 trucks
started cranking and melted down the whole wiring system right in front of my eyes ,
while i struggled to disconnect the battery in a pannick! I am a grand master at bringing back alive those old braking systems. But I will discuss that another time!
I have a small collection of 4x4 f600s, and 1600 4x4 International loadstars!
get in touch with ZANE AT hodge podge garage on you tube and ask him if I DO NOT KNOW
ANYTHING ABOUT THESE OLD TRUCKS! i AM HERE TO HELP YOU, NOT EMBARRASS YOU!
WE ALL HAVE MADE MISTAKES, AND LEARNED MANY TIMES THE HARD WAY.
I AM NO BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE! AND I WANT TO TELL YOU THAT YOU HAVE A VERY , VERY USEFULL GIRL THERE IN YOUR FORD F750 DUMP! FIX HER UP, GET HER GOING,
SHE IS WORTH HER WEIGHT IN GOLD! and after you see how much they want these days for a new one? you will flip! Best regards! kennethzakaib607@gmail.com montreal Quebec CAN.
Hey man. Thanks for all the info. I’ll keep this in mind for the next truck I try to get running.
This is a truck I would get running and road legal and leave it the way it is.
Yes I’ll probably do that.
