Overall, this was great advice. While I mostly agree about removing the clone subtheme, I want to point out a synergy it looks like y'all missed: if you clone Miriam, the clone will trigger Miriam when it enters the battlefield. The clone will then die to the legend rule, but you'll still get to keep the non-legendary copy of Miriam from the trigger. Then, shenanigans!
To tack on, subsequent clones can copy the non-legendary copy, so you'll get to keep it as well as the copieSSS. I learned a similar trick when I found ways to make non-legendary copies of Orvar. Come to think of it, Miriam would make a non-legendary copy of Orvar... Miriam deck with a secret Orvar theme?!?
David here! Man, this was a helpful video! The reason I put bounce cards in the deck is because bouncing cards is one of the most powerful forms of removal in yugioh, and I was finding cards that could do it for really cheap. I didn't even realize the synergies that bouncing my own cards have with the commander. Great insights, thank you so much! Now I just need to put these in my tcg player cart....
Bounce is great removal in Yugioh because powerful creatures often require board set up to get out: monsters to tribute, spell cards to play, etc. If you bounce a monster in Yugioh, your opponent has to go through the setup again to get it back out. In Magic, powerful creatures don’t actually require prior board states to play, they just require mana investment. That’s why they provide tempo advantage but card disadvantage in Magic. We think you’ve got a great deck!

Umm it’s spelled “Miirym.” ☝️I just don’t know how else to pronounce this made up name! 😂

I think Descendents' Path first came out in Avacyn Restored, all those years ago...
This is Travis; I have no memory of this card at all in the 13 years I’ve been playing Magic. That’s why I assumed it was new!
