Cycling akromas vengeance with that boardstate was crazy. It was the best response to deal with the board and instead was used to draw 1 and create cat :(
Once again, a game with very interesting threat assessment and plays. Andrew was left unchecked for too long to build up. Seb had some sort of strange vendetta against bunnies early on. Andrew won due to not being messed with until it was too late.
I don't run countermagic in my Miirym deck either. I don't depend too much on Terror/Scourge, as my goal is to flood the board with Miirym copies. I love how ridiculous it gets (my current record: endgame with nine copies of Miirym and ten copies of Firkraag). I strongly recommend Thassa, Deep-Dweller and Conjurer's Closet for extra flicker shenanigans: more ETBs and pseudo-vigilance are always helpful.
This game was a mess. People playing more artifacts and enchantments with an aura shards out. Players immediately declining to pay for Smothering Tithe. Players immediately playing draw spells with a fresh Smothering Tithe out. Players not killing Marie when she had nothing to defend herself with and allowing her another turn was absurd. Andrew winning out of no where when he was behind all game is the story of games on this channel. It's always confusing threat assessment.
ALWAYS REMOVE SMOTHERING TITHE! the amount of player that would forget the dam card and then when the player goes infinite or starts going off. players would ask themself "how did this happen?"
I agree on the counter spells in miirym the only ones worth running are the ones that give you mana back or free ones. Too many costly dragons to hold up mana for counter magic
@@Darchias I find they leave you trading 1 for 1 and getting behind way too easily when you could focus more on protecting them in ways that also net you value (like flicker effects)
@@Darchias plasm capture, mana drain and a pair of the free counters hit those very well with the upside of either netting mana or costing you none, allows you to tap out more often to play your dragons. Ps. Not saying they are bad choices but I think more than 4 counter spells in this deck is net negative, that's why most decks that aren't C minimize counter spells. Cause when you counter a spell you and that player are each down a resource for the other 2 players, they are net negative more often than not.
Marie had how many lands on board????? 40 something? That's a wild amount of land in the deck, good showing though, I loved watching it go ham on the board.
@@MTGMuddstah Love the content, is the campaign still going or did I miss a wonderful opportunity? Thank you for replying as well, I think you post the best group commander videos around because they flow so smoothly, thank you for the hard work you put in.
Was Winds of Abandon the only board wipe Maxime had in their deck? It's a great card, but if you don't win within 1-2 turns after you cast it, you're screwed.
Kyler is a SEVERELY bad commander. It costs too much for a 2/2 that has to stack its ability. One board wipe and all of your hard work is down the drain
Not bad if you play him right -- what i can tell you is that is you are attacking with Kyler multiple turns in a row you are doing it wrong. The right play is get a reasonable board, play kyler, then play a human token generator - call coppercoats, and Adeline are best (Rev Hoplite, Increasing Devotion, and Visions of Glory also work), and then alpha-strike to kill your opponents (at least 1 or 2) in a single swing. Agreed that, play Kyler then play some humans isn't a great strategy. Kyler is good because he pumps your team in a way that's explosive. You shouldn't need to attack with him, or to attack more than once. Any +1/+1 counter doubler or token doubler works great for the above strategy. For example, say you have doubling season, Adeline, and Kyler, attack with any one creature => you are making 6 human tokens, and each token is pumped by +12/+12, from Kyler having 12 +1/+1 counters (2 from each of the 6 humans ETB). So, out of nowhere you are sending 26 power at each opponent. Not including the other creature that is attacking. In many games this is gg.
He's a fairly costed Commander. Green to get him out early and recursion and white for the best protection spells, he's a fine choice for big stompy in those colors.
@@Blacklodge_Willy Disagree. There are FAR better selesnya commanders for stompy. Sigarda just of the top of my head. Kyler is BAD! If he cost 4, then maybe he would be someone usable. Two white pips and two green pips for 4 and he wouldve been a LITTLE better. Maybe even playable. But as far as Im concerned, Kyler should be in the 99 not leading it.
@@BadCookies1234 You're evaluation of the card is obsolete if you really think increasing the color pips and decreasing the colorless cost would make a card slightly better. That inherently makes it harder to cast.

That and playing Anointed Procession immediately after Aura Shards was played was just like "Hey, destroy this immediately."
My thoughts exactly ;-)
I thought the same.
@@Arkteren yeah the great henge too. Both were really bad plays into that aura shards.

...why are people dropping enchantments and artifacts in front of a token-generating player with Aura Shards on the field? 🙃
I was wondering the exact same thing
Same, discarding akroma's vengeance also hurt the soul.
Feed the aura shard frenzy
Why are they punting the game by giving the smothering tithe player over 10 treasures in one turn cycle? Seriously...
To get some value out of it when you have no other actions
Can always rely on this channel for a good laugh at the amount of misplays and crazy punts💀

Would love to see somebody play Hazezon, shaper of sands. It's so much fun I can see Andrew going off with it lol

CADIRA HYPE!! I now need to find an Aura Shards, how I haven't included one yet, no idea.
Yo. That was a great finish!!! I thought 2nd place was a lock for you.
Idk if it was my input specifically that got the deck introductions added, but seeing it made me feel heard so thanks andrew! Keep up the good work!
I miss my Kyler deck 😢 but glad that I have a Miirym deck now! 😁

One mana counters work pretty well IMO. Dispel, Stubborn Denial, maybe a Pyroblast.

Bennie Bracks? I think you mean... BUNNY BRACKS
Literally just took my Cadira deck out for its first games last night! I won one of the three! Made 15 rabbits in one turn!
Sick win Andrew!

Nah not that many, Zendikar made 44 plant tokens becuase she had anointed out doubling her plant production
That’s an interesting list for Gavi. Good sauce
To think Andrew could have killed Marie and kept his Tempest and stopped all shenanigans has me shook.
11:55 it should be 34 dmg. terror of the peaks trigger twice with the copy. not 17
Skyler with kogla and some humans is just, muah!
Marie’s playmat is epic! Does anyone know where she got it from?
My kickstarter!

which power level would you rate these decks?
I see the Kyler deck tech isn’t. Would love to see it
pumping kyler w/ zealot doesn't pump his board, zealot gives +x/+x not +1/+1 counters
where do you get those cool ass tokens ??????????????
Just curious. Why no Ancient Copper Dragon in Miirym?
At the time of this game I could find one. I have since, just haven't updated.

Smothering Tithe is proof mana> cards.

Miirym is on sight for me. If you're not killing them player the table will lose.
