@@andrewtedor8606 "Clamp" implies that equipping kills them. But in this case, it's actually not hard: with Chatterfang out, all it takes is one extra mana to feed the equipped squirrel to him.
Mistakes were made. I guess the play could've been reversed and squirrels clamped before the Anthem comes in so not really a game changer. HOWEVER, why clamp untapped squirrels over the tapped ones
Love the content! Btw, the trostani list on moxfield seems a bit outdated (for example serra's emissary isn't there) and it would be really cool if you could update it whenever you find time for it. I do not mean to be rude or tell you what to do, I just love the deck so much that I built my own, inspired by yours, and would like your updated take on it :)
Hello everyone! I'm Joel and I built and played that Xenagos deck. If anybody has comments or questions regarding this game or my deck, let me know. I'd be happy to answer all of them.
@12:00 The Wurm would have 10 toughness and die fighting Grothoma with 10 power. Berserk only doubles power. Correct? Or am I missing toughness somewhere
At 5:45 Max should have drawn an extra card (or rather could cause it's a may) because of Selvala since the Archon had higher attack than all other creatures (6 vs Chatterfang at 3 and Selvala pumped by Domri to 3).
Hmm, since Victimize is worded the way it is, wouldn't Tribute Mage die since Victimize has to finish resolving before Night Incarnate's LTB trigger can be put onto the stack?
Ya math is wrong and Marie did a bad misplay. The squirrels would have been 2/2 and clamped to become 3/1. I know mistakes happen. But that could have been a game changer.
I enjoyed this one! I don’t think that Chatterfang was used to his maximum. That deck needs more token generation. Almost every turn, you should have some way to generate a token to get the most out of Chatterfang.
Serra's Emissary is a bomb in my Karametra Angel tribal deck. Also, Archon of Cruelty has done quite a bit of work in my Aminatou deck by just blinking it over and over again. And at worst...it's a 6/6 beater. But it's quite difficult to cast in my Esper deck due to lack of ramp and ways to cheat things into play.
Yeah, Serras emissary is nuts, even made the cut into my polymorph deck. The Chatterfang deck could have done more if it wasnt boardwiped twice followed up by getting the commander sacrificed, that was rough
@@MTGMuddstah Let's not forget the token is equal to the TOTAL damage from ALL creatures with Trample. So yeah, just one or two extra combat steps and you have yourself a massive army of big booty bois.

Ironically, it was Max's Archon of Cruelty that allowed you to discard Serra's Emissary so that Séance could copy it and start the populating train.
Yep!
It's kinda hard to clamp squirrels when they're getting +1/+1 from Sylvan Anthem... 👀
Suffering from success
It’s not hard to clamp them. It’s just hard for them to die from it lol

@@DarkEinherjar I know what you meant. My response was a joke. I’m a big aristocrat player, so I’m very familiar with the act of “clamping” 👍🏻🙃
I think that Trostani is your deck with best win rate on the channel.
Also, Awesome video.
10:45 am I missing something or should Marie not be able to clamp the squirrel like that with sylvan anthem out?
Reading the card explains the card
Mm yes. Reading, like math, is for blockers.
no your right he cant clamp the squirrles
Also should have made 2 more squirrels

We love xenagos!!!! Your deck is awesome

That grothama play was damn cool!
@@Dovahkiin2406 It's one of my favourite plays to pull off with Xenagos.

Oh man, love seeing some quartzwood crasher love. That card does WORK in my gishath deck. Really needs to see more play
I love watching your tristani deck in action. One of my favs behind mistform.
Hmm, since Victimize is worded the way it is, wouldn't Tribute Mage die since Victimize has to finish resolving before Night Incarnate's LTB trigger can be put onto the stack?
Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Would also make the Archon a bit smaller for the turn.
yes
Archon of cruelty has been a star in my muldrotha deck. Love to hear my friends groan when it hits the field lol

Good to see you again trostani
@8:43 He swings for 8? 44-8 is 36 not 26... did I miss something?
I enjoyed this one!

Omg i realy need to put both into my Deck. Seance and serras awesome
Your Trostani is still one of my favorite decks in magic. I've seen that you have done a few streams recently, any cbances for an appearance there?

That card is absolutely broken (Somehow iona is banned tho)
@@olafthemoose9413 Iona is a completely different effect, its banned because it can prevent players from playing any spells
This game looked like a lot of fun!
Love seeing Seance go off. It's been a pet card of mine for awhile.
i cut the Archon from my araumi deck because he's expensive and just targets 1 player, though he did do work in this game.
Hello, Trostani. Haven't seen you in a while.
Selesnya Euplogist is a pretty underrated card. It is an absolute bomb in my Volo deck
Was it by choice to only use Séance on your own turn because the card does say "every upkeep"? Either way great use of the card.
Yes. I didn't have a populate enabler that worked until my turn, so I didn't want to lose the tokens Seance made.
Is your Trostani deck changed much?.
Didnt see Serras Emissary in you decklist?.
I haven't had a chance to update the list online, sorry!
How did Marie clamp her squirrels for draw while Gaea Anthem is out??
It was a mistake.
I have never seen someone with a 5 land hand that was all different lands before
Xenabro strikes again! Also first
That damn protection from creatures ;-;
Good match 👏
I think I looked at Serra's Emissary, and decided it didn't really fit in my pseudo angel tribal Sephara deck
I mean you can probably play that card in any white deck and chances are it'll be good
Love your Trostani deck. Excited to see it back on the channel.
Me too!
as a xenagos player myself I am shocked that quartzwood crasher isnt played as much it does so much especially with xenagos
