    As a child coming up my father played these songs on the RCA Victor and I listened to so many songbirds and he was One of them

    I've listened to so many of his songs it touched my ❤️ and gave us a warm loving feeling.we didn't act like other people. I guess everyone had their own thing going on . My life was to listen to the symphonies records my father like to hear to. Those are the days I remember.thsnk goodness we had people like him . He is a great artist

      That's my mother's boyfriend she would say right in front of my father.
      They would laugh.... my parents are from Harlem New York and knew a lot of these entertainers personally.
      My father liked Lola Falana and my mother would say to my father your girlfriend is coming on the television he would run and they would both laugh.
      Billy Eckstine lead his big band sung and played trumpet and valve trombone absolutely convincingly all musician he was. His band played right next to Duke Ellington's Orchestra, Count Basie, Cab Calloway, Lionel Hampton Fletcher Henderson and more
