Hi Andy love your videos.. I have really big hands and have bought a 36inch guitar. I cannot get my fingers to only touch 1 string. I always catch at least 1 other string.. Have I made a mistake in a small guitar.. Do you think I would stand a better chance with a big guitar like the one you have??
I bought a vintage crown hummingbird for $240 at an antique store a few months ago, thanks for your help with the chords from your first 10 day course ❤
Awesome presentation! I’ve looked at many and I like your pace and approach to include showing the chords and highlighting the ones being played as well as playing with background music. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this. As a 57 year old beginner, I've been searching for lessons that are actually easy to follow. I can't believe i actually learned 2 chords already. I'm using an electric guitar for now. Just purchased a beginner acoustic on Amazon that'll be here in a few days lol. I'm gonna learn to play if it kills me lol. I didn't know it would hurt this much though lol. I'm sure it hurts more than it should because I fell off of a bridge at work back in 2015 and had to have my fretting hand and wrist totally rebuilt and fused. I don't care how much it hurts. I'm not going to give up
Another all-in-one video for guitar beginners, where chords and strumming knowledge and practice to a jamming track is a great approach and encourages you to practice. Perhaps for volume 2 series some popular songs to jam to and learn the chords at the same time
Thank you so much Andy, I’m on day two and I got it down. I almost gave up until I found your videos. You are so easy to learn from and I feel excited when I get it down. Yayyyyyyyyy ❤
ouh, now this is a fun course. Sitting here with my new blue guitar and I am actually making some impressive sounds. My fingers are a little bit sore, but hey-ho I am enjoying this.
Hi I’m 63 and have plenty of time on my hands after a knee replacement op I’ve been so bored but want something new to do, my wife works in a charity shop, she had a Chantry acoustic guitar donated which she’s given me 😮 I have never played a cord or note in my life but enjoyed your first tutorial despite my fat fingers I will give it a real go, very pleased with my efforts so far, thank you for your time and upload 😊
You're welcome buddy! If you have more time and enjoy this coursez the rest of it is here www.andyguitar.co.uk/courses/new-10-day-beginner-acoustic-challenge and we've just launched a new, more comprehensive beginners course on that website too. I go live every Monday there too so you can ask me anything, and we have a discord community too so you can get peer to peer support. I hope to see you over there Ian!
This is a somewhat different approach than Andy uses in the 10-day challenge. A little more sedate pace, with more details about how to arrange your left hand to get the chords right. A nice follow-up to the 10-day.

Andy, I was recommended to follow your channel as a newbie. I started with the individual 10 day videos which I believe are older than this video. Which video(s) do you recommend I follow
I got myself a fender acoustic guitar, and I am a beginner. Although my guitar doesn't sound like its tuned. I don't know how to tune it. Do you have a video on tuning for beginners?
Check out the new beginners course here, then the new intermediate one when it starts dropping in Feb. It's more comprehensive and a better journey from beginner through intermediate www.andyguitar.co.uk/courses
Could you do a tutorial on how to play Nothing Else Matters by Metallica? I’ve seen other peoples tutorials but I think you explain all the things better so, if you could it would really great
Hi, I did your 10 day course that you put together a few years ago. With your online course I am considering subscribing, but fo I need to download an app to access the lessons or log in to an internet site. I've had a bad experience with a subscription through an internet site that also required an app from the app stores for iOS or Android.
If the previous one is working for you, go for that because it's working. If you find that one gets too difficult too quickly (which is the most common complaint) then try this one as it fixes that
Day 3 - on the E major cord the pad of my 3rd finger keeps muting the 3rd string. I can get it to stop by really arching my hand but only for a second before it starts muting the string again. Any advice or should I just keep practicing that cord before moving on to the A major?
Wouldn't you need a left handed guitar to flip it? Else the entire strings are reversed and the chordshapes would have to be adjusted accordingly too. Just think its a thing that should be mentioned in the course
