As someone who felt emotional with making the decision to destroy PGS abnormal embryos, I cannot even imagine the angst you must have felt making the decision to destroy your normal embryos. IVF is expensive, financially, physically, and emotionally. To have to make this decsion feels like all of that is going to waste. Many people will judge, but you make the best decision for you. Stay strong in that you made the best decision for you. Warm hugs Sis!

That’s hard. It hurts losing an embryo in any way because people don’t always realize the blood, sweat and tears, etc that go into it! Losing two to failed transfers has been harder than I thought.

Thank you for your transparency. I've often thought about this aspect of IVF and it fills me with trepidation. This is why I always tell family members who pressure me about the fertility journey that only people who go through it really know what it entails not just financial and physically, but emotionally.

Sweet Lady! I'm so sorry. I dearly hope you are in a better place mentally and emotionally than when you made this video. Ive been going through IVF too, and thinking about what we would do with "extra" embryos is a such a difficult thing that nobody warns you about. Divorce makes it so much more painful. Keyona, I too have found Candace''s vlogs and channel especially HELPFUL over the past 12 hours where I am recovering from a very very painful procedure , (HSG) and the pain I still am in RIGHT NOW is unbelievable. I literally lay awake all night because of the pain I was in and in my trying to find out if what I was facing was NORMAL I 'refound' Candace again after finding her in 2019 when I had a myomectomy for removal of uterine fibroids. I hope you and your husband will have your bundles of joy 😊 🍼👶🏽🍼😊or already have them.
I am African, born and raised in Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 (next to South Africa 🇿🇦 ) but now live in the UK 🇬🇧. In Zimbabwean culture, infertility is still seen as a great taboo and few people talk openly about their experiences AND infertility is seen as the woman's fault ALWAYS! Bearing this in mind, in the wee hours of this morning I chose to be that African and Zimbabwean woman who now shares her journey and normalises that 15% of couples will experience fertility issues and it could be male or female factor infertility. I am grateful for the help that media gives us to heal and thrive as women.

Im going through ivf now. When we had to sign the consent forms at my clinic, we were asked right there what we wanted to do in case we ended up with extra embryos. Just making that choice was difficult and I had to think it through, so I can just imagine how you must feel. This journey is by far, the most difficult and lonely in my life, no matter what phase in this journey anyone is at, I can only feel sympathy for all of us going through this. I feel for you and such a hard decision you’ve made.

This conversation was so hard when my husband and I had to have our frozen embroys transferred to another facility to store them,that was one of several questions we had to answer it was so hard to even think that we had to make decisions about destroying our babies. Gosh I followed you through your journey! Your a very strong momma victory has one amazing mother regardless of the Circumstances! You have been very, very professional giving us your story but also keeping thing personal out of respect for you family and daughter. During your journey I had gone through IVF just right before turning 30 with no success. My second round I followed all your recipes protein, shakes and I got pregnant and miscarried at 9weeks. Now, I can't help but to be extremely scared of what if this doesn't work. I'm scared of letting myself and my partner down. I'm 37 now and time is just not on my side. I have some very, very good embryos left storage right now. Now I need prep my body for an October or September transfer and with that said I hope it's a full term positive pregnancy.

This breaks my heart in every way. As an IVF mom, did 4 failed cycles and the 5th we only had 1 embryo and it was anxiety, fear, panic and everything you can think of through out the process. But as God could have it we had our only healthy son today who is 9months old now. I want more kids but don’t know what the future holds for us…..😌

My heart hurts with you 😔 I am going through an ugly divorce, I never went through IVF. I did have a miscarriage, pretty horrific one a week before my ex decided he would be with his employee instead of me. Loss of child, no matter what stage, is something so cruel and scarring. I'm sorry you're going through this. We lost our 12 year old son in January 2021. We pour years of blood, sweat and tears into our children and I imagine grief is grief, whether we're grieving embryo's or children. He was our youngest child and we were suddenly flung into a situation where we're almost empty nesters at 40 years old. We decided to see if we could try for a baby in May but that didn't pan out. We'll be starting IVF in February at 41 years old. I have a decent egg reserve for my age group but unfortunately my husband's sperm count came up zero, so we're using donated sperm. Watching some of your videos has been helpful. I definitely have fears that we're most likely in for more heartbreak but I have to remember that you miss every single shot that you don't take. I can't play it safe for the rest of my life and will have to be ready for loss.
Something that helped me was looking at genealogy. I could see two sets of my great-grandparents lost a child but they got through it and so will we. I wish you all the best.

Very touching experience. Just want you to know that you're not alone, there is no difficult situation you can go through that God can't see you through. I was forced to have an abortion and sometimes I feel the same way. But God is able to strengthen you and uphold you and give you the strength to move forward. All is forgiven all will be well.

No one wants to have more children with an ex husband , it’s difficult giving up children for adoption. U will always be thinking how they r living, are they cared for, are they happy… That is a lot to ask from you.. But think u..

Sorry to hear your story, so sad and unfortunate for couples who are in stable relationships but can't conceive and have an opportunity to adopt but those who can help them out just don't want to. I'm not judging you, I'm just speaking for infertile couples who can't even afford infertility treatment.
