    Thankyou so much! The assembly part of this was a lifesaver! Factory had put in some of the pre-installed parts of mine upside down, so I had to take it completely apart and fix it, using your guide helped me understand why things didnt go together like the instructions!

    Very good video , your version of assembly helped me much more than the manufacturer and other videos I have seen so far , I give you a 10!!! Thank you again , very good detail

    Your assembly portion of the video was SOooooooo helpful. I was stuck in the terrible chinese instructions which didn't make a lot of sense. Your video cleared up a LOT of confusion and I now have an assembled engraver. Haven't run it yet, but feeling a lot better after 4-hours of attempted assembly. Whew! Cheers!

    next step is to put some geared nema 14 stepper for focusing, build an enclosure with UV filtering inspection window and exhaust tube for fumes :)
    I did read somewhere that commercial machines with high power laser and without UV protective enclosure are not quite legal to sell in a EU. Take this information lightly since I need to find a source for that. Nevertheless, this video made me thinking on adding a laser in my sapphire plus :D

    • @MyTechFun
      @MyTechFun  3 года назад +1

      Nice thinking, enclosure and exhaust is useful, but I don't want to add more weight to head. I like this focusing method, far the best I have meet so far. This is DIY machine and you have to put it together (and build enclosure if you need one). Since thomas sandler mentioned in one of his video that it is illegal, everybody think that fbi will knock on their door if they buy this product. Several comments asked thomas, but nobody could show written legal proof. (And I believe welding machines are more dangerous, let's make them illegal too)

    •  3 года назад +1

      @@MyTechFun That's right, Thomas mentioned that :D I just couldn't remember where did I get that information from.

    • @thearhi
      @thearhi 3 года назад +1

      PRC sellers have a way of circumventing laws :D ... for e.g. if this is sold as a tool and not as consumer device most of the laws do not apply (you do not need all the certifications you normally need for consumer devices as it is expected that engineers know how to use their tools :D )
      fume extractor would be very useful as some of the materials produce extremely poisonous fumes while cutting (acrylic for e.g.)

    Hey man! When i go to set the configuration file, the menu open up but all of the buttons are grey, and i cant see anything or import anything. It tells me “red and write enabled only when connected and idle”, like an error message. Do you know a fix to this or does my engraver actually have to be connected to my computer at this point? Thanks!

    • @MyTechFun

      In laserGRBL? Yes, to see buttons enabled, you have to connect the engraver (set port and baud) and then click connect, unlock.

    I think air assist would help more with the cutting depth.

    • @MyTechFun
      @MyTechFun  3 года назад

      Yes, a small fan can probably help with a clean cut. But setting the right focus is very important too.

    • @thearhi
      @thearhi 3 года назад +2

      @@MyTechFun "a small fan" doesn't help much, a compressor or a high-pressure fan is required to provide high-pressure flow to get fine cuts, the black charging on the top of the cut almost go away and depth is significantly increased. small fan will help with fumes (some materials will have combustible fumes, also some fumes will absorb some of the power) but to have clear cut, less charring, and more depth you need high pressure air assist

    • @MyTechFun
      @MyTechFun  3 года назад +1

      @@thearhi that's what I mean, small fan for smoke and fumes if there are a lot. For small particles of cutting, yes, high-pressure air

    • @thearhi
      @thearhi 3 года назад

      @@MyTechFun I haven't used that particular laser module but very similar one I used (tad bigger, around 7.5W optical power but looks exactly the same) the fan on top that cools the module drives the air through the module and air exits around the laser beam and clears the smoke. If that's not happening on this module you have adding a small 25mm fan is usually enough to remove smoke (40mm of course works much better and is much quieter)... but the quality of cuts with the compressor is "nebo i zemlja" as we'd say :) ... I setup on friends laser a small miniature 4L compressor, we added a second bottle (used old used bottle for gas), a cheap flow regulator from aliexpress and made a tiny nozzle out of a thin copper tube, works awesome and cuts are super clean. Does not help too much with depth, for that we ordered some collimation lens to try to make the beam narrower...
      Btw, I see here you have difference in X and Y dimensions, I think this is 'cause the beam is oval and not round

    Szia.
    Lesz esetleg erről a típusról valamikor magyarul is bemutató ? Tok jó lenne.
    A véleményedet szeretném kérni, hogy, mennyire jó minőségű a termék, vagy ezért az árért lenne jobb is? A 4 milis plywoodal mennyire bír el?
    A válaszod előre is köszi.

      Szia Krisztián, csatornám angol nyelvű, nem tervezem magyarul is csinálni. Konkrétan ez a termék jó, bár nagyon hasonló többihez ebben a kategóriában. Azt vettem észre, hogy minden 5W körüli lézer módul hasonló mostanában, itt alig van különbség. Ennek a típusnak ráadásul 2 stepper motorja van Y tengelyen. Bár, pl. nagyon tetszett a Longer RAY5-ben, hogy van képernyője, képes laptoptól függetlenül működni akár WIFI-n is.

    • @DanielBulyovcsity

      Vinyl not only produced deadly gas when cutting, it is also higly corrosive and every metal part of yout laser cutter would rust in very short time. Buy a vinyl plotter that cuts with a razor
