I was so mad when he just kept talking. Like at first I thought he was joking, as did she. But then he continued to talk about how he would do it, and then just a burst of rage exploded throughout my body. Not only was it a good performance, it was also such a nice bonding moment between Richard and Sonja, and given how Sonja gets voted out later that episode it really set the quite dark tone for the seasons to come.

"Cringe" is any moment that invokes empathy, the reason it has that name is because that's usually peoples reactions, moments of empathy often make people uncomfortable because they've been in that place before. Seeing her play that song may cause some people to remember their old music teachers or family members who had that same joyful attitude, and also remember those people may not be around anymore. Cringe is just unexpected empathy, you may not seek out a show to be reminded so much of your own life and past, and when it hits you with that mirror to your own life it makes people itch in their own skin.

Furthermore a nuclear engineer does not mean they have the same skill as a mechanical engineer. Just because it has the word engineer in it doesn’t mean she can automatically build things.
I dated a nuclear engineer for a couple of years. He’s smart but so bad with people. People like them have no introspection.

I’ve seen so many challenges where contestants will finish a puzzle and just take a step back without saying anything and Jeff will see them and crown them immediately. Jeff was just covering his own ass because he missed Wendell’s finish.

the nuclear engineer (who actually doesn't have any experience, all her stuff is theory from her doctorate) was so bad. There was no way you can balance bamboo on top of 3ft bamboo dug into the sand. The stilts won't be rigid in sand. In order to make it ridgit, you'd need to make it tall, all the way to the ceiling and us X bracing with other bamboo to other posts. Once you have have enough cross braces it would be rigid. then use some twine to attach the elevated floor (or shorter lengths of bamboo tied to the posts.
"now I don't wanna make waves" - a wave comes along - so funny. I loved Caryn in the few episodes prior to her boot. I wish she had gone further. I totally get her frustration with Katie - there's always someone in a group who likes to pick on the weakest or most unpopular one (Caryn) to look good in front of cool ones (Tom/Ian/Gregg/Jenn?)
Honestly, I think she went farther than she would have gotten herself. Final five is nothing to sneeze at. She got a good tribe, but was so confrontational, starting fights for no reason, especially that one.
that Vanuatu scene was amazing - Leanna is so honest. It was almost like season 3 and 4 where the outsiders in the alliance knew where they stood and the dominant ones expected them to just take it cos they thought it was more about honesty than deception. They seemed to value each other more and there was this struggle between playing the game and being honest. Now it's just everyone is just a number, the relationships don't mean as much
after like part 2 or 3 these moves on from cringeworthy to just compilations of all moments. zeke is straight up just RIGHT about that,.

Russell bullying Natalie is hard to watch, but so satisfying knowing the outcome.
That first one sucks so much. I remember bej g a child a misunderstanding challenges where I sincerely believed that the adults running an event would be sooooooo on top of it AND I was not told how to properly "call" my completion of the challenge since i trusted they were truly all over it. That sucks as an ADULT I wouldn't run into that again.

It would be nice if they went back to basics with the newer seasons.
Do what they did for the first season, where supplies weren't so easily given out. They lost so much weight due to lack of food.
A few newer seasons I watched about... 5-8 years ago had food given out as rewards quite q bit
It would be nice if they handled it like Naked & Afraid.. where no food is given, and they truly have to use their brains to find food to survive.
I just want survivor to really force them to do what they can to survive. It's much more entertaining that way.
