Two Halberd plays from Joachim Meyers book about the knightly art of swordsmanship - 1570 A.D. The plays can be found on page 38recto to 38verso (XXXVIII) in the last chapter of the original book found here:

PS: Obviously NOT exclusive for formation fighting. Meyers manuscript shows mostly techniques for a duel! But you can use many of the concepts also for formation battles like thrusting or striking in a tighter way.

When the pandemic subsides, and we are able to travel freely again, I plan to make my own personal HEMA “tour” - a backpacking trip through a few countries; enjoying local food, history, and sights.. but also with the purpose of visiting a few HEMA schools as a guest! I’ve been thinking about this since before the pandemic, but obviously everything has had to be postponed. When the time comes, perhaps I could arrange a visit to Hammaborg on that trip! ⚔️

Sehr gutes Video! Wie immer Hohe Qualität! Wenn du dann Präsi des DDHF bist, spendieren wir dir eine neue Kamera. Das Bild ist etwas überbelichtet. :) Die Techniken sind aber gut erkennbar und darum geht es ja :D

Im Gegensatz zu anderen Videos haben wir dieses iwann zwischen 7 oder 8 Uhr morgens gemacht. Das Licht war wirklich grell an dem Tag, insbesondere am frühen morgen. Das Licht fällt am Mittag/Nachmittag wesentlich günstiger zum filmen. Naja, hauptsache es gefällt :)
