  • In this video I present a special battle sword with a pretzel handle. However, with a small extra detail - a so-called thumb ring. Whether such an addition brings something for combat use you will hear my opinions about it in this video.

There's something hypnotic about watching such a large sword being put through it's paces.

I love that you use the propper contemporary term for that sword, which does a lot to evade confusion :) i myself am always a proponent of using the term Schlachtschwert

It looks like a real Landsknecht. Swords are practical and cool. However, I cannot own a steel imitation sword in Japan. longing remains longing....🥺

Here's hoping that Kubold will hire you do to some motion capture sessions for Hellish Quart. The game could really use some German/Landsknecht characters and weapons.

Ernsthaft, ich liebe es dir zuzuschauen, wenn du Schlachtschwerter schwingst. Hat mich schon auf dem Elbenwaldfestival wirklich fasziniert.

Wielding that beast very nicely! Looks like it would be a very effective battlefield weapon in your hands. Good to see you making video's again✊🏻

I absolutely love this sword design! I've been doing hema for about 10 years and slowly working torwards a landsknecht persona, and your videos are an absolute blessing! I only have a halberd and matchlock, but this looks to be my next purchase.

Es ist echt unglaublich und etwas surreal, wie du in fließenden Bewegungen dieses Monster vor dir her lenkst. Sehr beeindruckend!

Interesting to see a thumbring on anything but a Polish sabre. Didn't know they were used in Germany too.

very nice, thanks for the pics from german armourys, finaly found a sword with hilt similar to one i made although it only had 2 upturned quillions/sword breakers not 2 on each side like mine
