  • We've taken some of our original "small box" games and made them larger, more colorful, easier to play, and in some cases more faithful to the original historic games.
    So this video is a quick view to what and why these "deluxe" versions exist, and to introduce you to some of the games in our catalog that you might have missed.

    How much more does it cost to make a deluxe?
    How many buy the deluxe version instead of the smaller one?

      The cost difference varies a lot. The bigger boards, color printing, and bigger boxes add around 30% to the base cost, but the larger boards often require more pegs as well. I think sales are about even between the two sizes, but the smaller boxes have been around a lot longer, and folks who are collecting the smaller Peg Pastimes.

      @@NewVentureGames Thank you 😁👍
      I am thinking about having at least 2 versions of my cards ie Cheap and Cheerful which you can batter around and a deluxeD version for card collector like me to look at.
      I am also thinkimg of a version for the sight impaired with just the suit and rank on it in big symbols.
      The above packs will be colour blind friendly.

    Is there a standard size for the boxes?
    Not the board sizes
    Like the A system for paper sizes...
    (Which I don't think you use in North America)
    Area of A1 = A2 x2 = A3 x 2 = A4 x 2 etc.

      Yes. The big "deluxe" box is 6x9x1.5 inches, the small "travel" box is 6x4.5x1.5 inches, and the new "half box" is 3x4x1.5 inches. Standard paper sizes start with "Letter Size" which is 8.5 x 11 - a little different than A4 but essentially serves the same function.

      @@NewVentureGames Thanks for the imfo.
      I am working on a card game which has around 150 standard bridge size (poker size are wider);
      and I am thinking about what size boxes would fit in the "standard" sizes.
