- I have both Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate AND the ISC2 "Certified in Cybersecurity" CC Certification. Should you?
You can watch my first video in this series to learn how I did it in 5 days, which means it was free.
You can watch my other video to learn how I got the ISC2 CC in 6 days, that includes taking TWO prep courses, taking a break day, then passed the exam on the 6th day. And it's ALL FREE.
Yes, I am aware of some people "review" the certs without taking the courses involved, and they say this will lead you to 150K career. That's like saying if you learn how to drive you can be Lewis Hamilton. It's... bull(bleep).
No, you will NOT get a job with either of these. BOTH however, will prepare you for CompTIA Security plus. And you need THAT to get a job.
While you can go directly for Security plus, why not take both the Google Cybersecurity cert, AND the ISC2 CC certification as well? The actual exam you do for CC will prepare you for actual testing for Security plus.
I will go over EVERYTHING in the video...
Remember, no platitudes here. Just the honest truth.

thanks for the info. I am taking them now :)
hello captain, thank you for the informative video, I am currently taking the Google/Coursera certificate and planning to sign up for Isc2. One thing I noticed in your video is that the volume for your microphone was low so it was difficult to hear you, I raised my volume almost to the max, just FYI, thanks again for the video.
so you mean you'll take coursera IBM ISC2 program after coursera google cybersecurity program ?
This video was useful, thank you for sharing it. Have you heard of the Cisco NetworkingAcademy cybersecurity certification? free and basic course. It would be good to know if it is similar to these certificates from Google and ISO2, I would like to know your opinion about it.
Hi Captain. Thanks for informative videos. I'm a 35 year old Business Rep on the energy sector dealing with batteries. At my age do you think I can still switch careers into Cyber Security. Which certificates should focus for a faster change in careers
Hola, tengo 36 años, y este fin de mes es mi examen en ISC2 presencial, con mucha Fe, todo se puede.
@@nickypalacios2405 Gracias. Espero triunfar en la industria en unos meses. buena suerte con todo.
You'll be fine. I may sound like a jovencito, but I am actually in my 50s seeking to change my career as well. It all depends on your motivation and perseverence, though some computer talent helps too. This is not quick. Getting in is difficult. People with experience are getting hired left and right. It's getting enough training and convincing the right people to give you a chance to start that's the problem.
@@CaptChangTalks thanks Captain. I've registered for the ISC2 certification. All the best on your side.
You definetly can mate, I have 49 and switching carrer to IT, going for a GRC specialization which demands les technical skills! good luck
You get certified in 6 days ? Can you told me which dump you use for training udumy or only self study materiel thank you
I used only the ISC2 free course and the Coursera course for the CC certification. Browse my channel and see where I tell you what I did for each one.
@@CaptChangTalks thnk you sir i already watche all your videos
Did you take the comptia and is c2 cc exams?
Haven't gotten the S+ yet. Figure I get the A+ first.
I just signed up for ISC2. I am looking for a career change I am 54. After passing this CC exam What's next Can you recommend to me what should I do? Thanks for the video
You need CompTIA Security+. Everybody needs this. Professor Messer on RUclips has good prep, and free reviews as well (to sell his prep material, but that's expected, right?) After that, it depends on computer experience you got. If you have little, get A+ and go get a helpdesk job for a year or two to build up some experience. If you already have IT experience, start applying.
I’m on that same path and my research points to ibm cybersecurity, Google cybersecurity or Microsoft cybersecurity. All on Coursera…
Can we get ISC2 certificate by passing the examination without paying the membership fee?
I believe you get 1 year free as "associate of ISC2". However, you'll need to ask ISC2. I paid and my CC certification appeared almost immediately.
I signed up ISC2 is free
@@CaptChangTalksCan you please endorse me for certification in ISC2 as I cleared the exam and a student
@@jitheeshash1199 I don't recall needing any sort of endorsement. Perhaps you need to ask your nearest ISC2 chapter?
Do you have a cyber job?
Just IT job for now.
