    Great and honest content. I studied and took the exam, and it's just as you have described. Not many RUclipsrs actually take the courses or the exams themselves. This where you stand out from so many others. Like you said, not the hardest certification, but it does teach foundations. Thank you for your input and feedback.

    Thank you. I was going to take the exam earlier this year but got busy, ISC2 is offering a free CC exam now so I signed up. I will be studying for the Sec+ exam next year. I've passed Google Cybersecurity & A+. Tomorrow I have to drive 90min to get to an exam site, but the exam is at Noon so there's that.

    Issue I have with this Cert is that previous iterations had lots of questions in the actual Exam that were never covered in the learning material. This looks to have somewhat been rectified, Currently reviewing this myself and so far I feel like having Sec+ devalues the cert for me personally, more so when I'm currently prepping for CysA+
    That being said, as a beginner cert this does feel worthwhile but I would certainly diversify study and use some RUclips videos that cover topics to bump up the examinee's pass chances.

    I'd gotten Sec+ years back and decided to take this free exam offer. On my pre-test I scored 92% and I agree some of the terminology is different from when I'd taken Sec+. This is a good review of basic security principals and I'm going to take the test in a week. Thanks for sharing your experience!

      Wow! 92% on pre-test. thats really high. You should have taken the exam the day after. Anyway, goodluck.

      Would you say the ISC2 CC covers about 50% of the Sec+?

    • @CicadaAppreciationSociety
      @CicadaAppreciationSociety 3 месяца назад +1

      @@MMAandOats Maybe more like 70% but it's been a while since I took the Sec+. Sec+ gets more into attack types as well as types of encryption with a whole section on Cryptographic Concepts.

    I passed this exam this in Nov of 2022. I can also attest that the exam was indeed catered for people who are just beginning their careers in IT or Cybersecurity. This is not the be-all certification for beginners but it will give you a good momentum. Asides from the self-paced training they offer you can also leverage Professor Messer's CompTIA Security+ modules for studying as this exam also is more like an exam prep for Sec+... That's what I did to pass this one, I just don't know if this will also work for the other people too... Good luck!

      I'm VERY computer savvy, AA in comp sci, went through this training in a week, passed exit exam with 82%. Will this cert open up an entry level position for me? ISC2 CC Cert

    Comparing entry level exams such as AWS CP, CEH etc.. of course CC is going to look easy. If you’ve knowledge of cybersecurity in School or work you’ll pass the exam 95% of the time. However if you’re new to cybersecurity, the structure of the question and terminology in the exam can be tricky. Definitely have to read the question carefully and identify what exactly it’s asking. Good cert to reinforce/build up fundamentals.

    May I know what other materials did you use aside from the free access to the self paced training from isc2 CC. Do you use exam materials before taking it? Appreciate your big response it will be a big help for everyone as well.

      @@StyxShow is it worth it like im trying to get the ejpt maybe if i combine it with this cert because this isc2 cc is coming from the same vendor that provides the cissp mayb getting an entry level job would be having better chances what do you think sir ?

    • @StyxShow
      @StyxShow  Год назад

      @@firos5381 yeh, just take the exam and watch the course.. its FREE anyway. If you dont like it even if you pass the exam dont pay the $50.
      don’t expect anything much career advancement since this is super beginner level.. you will learn basic concepts and definitions but nothing to technical. Yeah its ok to combine it with eJPT but dont expect much relavancr. eJPT is technical hands-on lab exam and CC is just definition of terms super basic concepts
