    Studying for ccna rn with Neil’s course. After passing Net+ and Sec+ I found a love for networking. It has made my projects much easier to complete. Also got accepted to a system administrator course that has a track for Linux, Cisco cyber ops and CEH so I’ll see where this takes me. Great video guys !!

      100% true people want to go into these specialized fields without getting foundational, understanding in hardware software, networking and operating systems etc.
      It also doesn’t help when they’re so many videos, of people who really don’t know telling others all they need to do are certain things. Anything worth doing is going to be hard work. It will not be an easy quick thing.

    Neil!!! No way! I used his Udemy course to pass my CCNA exam on the first attempt several years ago. Helped to change my life. I passed my AWS exam today and am now also a Solutions Architect. I think both sides are needed for the 'complete picture' as it were, and am very luck and blessed to have had the experiences I have. I was able to build my networking skills in the real world as a Senior Engineer & Network Architect of a 5A district, which I managed basically single-handedly. Now I work for a Nationwide company providing remote support and have been able to spend a lot of time with my wife and 2 daughters. Neil rocks! Shout out to Cantrill for his AWS and huge props to Tutoriol Dojo for their practice exams. You can do it! Neil is dead on with his analysis. I had so much knowledge beforehand, that it was just all about how the system worked, as opposed to how networking in its entirety worked with firewalls, etc.

    After taking CCNA, learning VPCs in AWS was a breeze but also a lot of other content to swallow such as kinesis shards and databases etc.. core foundation is still best before proceeding to it. Have skillset of linux commands, bit of python. AWS is just a piece of the puzzle. Git, Terraform, CI/CD lots more to learn afterwards.

    Started my IT journey at the beginning of the year these were the top 2 Certs i battled over. After months of jumping back and forth i paused and went for Comptia Sec+ lmao, which i registered to test for by this month. After i pass its back to debating between the 2 again. My gut tells me CCNA because i think the AWS SA would be pretty much cake after that monster but all i hear is cloud this cloud that and feel like id be delaying getting the more important cert. The market is so tough and feels like u need at least 3 certs to even have a chance if you have no experience

    • @maxbilo6191
      @maxbilo6191 3 месяца назад +1

      Since MCSE is retired maybe you could take the following Mocrosoft certs:
      AZ-800: Administering Windows Server Hybrid Core
      AZ-801: Configuring Windows Server Hybrid Advanced Services
      They cost $165 each.

    I went through one ccna course just to see what i will have to know. I think im going to get my network+ quick while i practice the hands on components of the ccna.
    I work at Amazon moving packages but i need to find a non physical job asap. If i can somehow tolerate being a warehouse worker after getting the network+, then i will focus on the aws certs so i can have an easier time getting a cloud role at Amazon since im already an employee there (hanging on by the skin of my teeth and only surviving because of the daily pay job perk 😅🥵)
