    With due respect to Andy Murray (much better player than his GS tally suggests), he doesn't have a change in a GS anymore. Yes, he has a world-class backhand and brilliant tennis IQ, but his greatest assets were his movement and shot tolerance - both of which are absent in his current avatar. So, he can either play 2-3 rounds at GSs before getting knocked out or retire. It's for him to make the call between having fun in the court vs chilling at home - he's not a threat to win any Slam.
    From a GS's pov, they'll always give him wildcards. He is a crowd puller at par with the Big 3.

  • @LeadfootLou
    @LeadfootLou 4 года назад +1

    You pointed out the fact that Rafa’s path has been very easy so far but you didn’t do the same for Novak. Why is that? Zverev beat Rafa at the ATP finals last year because Rafa sustained an injury during the previous tournament and couldn’t practice. C’mon guys you make excuses for Federer in your last video but fail to point out the obvious when it’s a player you don’t root for.
    Thiem has had the toughest draw so far. Diego will be a very tough quarterfinlist if he gets that far. Thiem was smarter than Rafa in that he played the US Open. It was smarter to play the us open and skip Rome. Rafa received some bad advice. Probably from one of Steven’s fellow Fed fans. Nevertheless we find ourselves with the top 5 guys that I had going into this tournament still playing. They are Novak, Rafa, Dominic, Sasha and Diego. I listed them in order of who I thought were the favorites. Let’s hope we get Rafa vs Novak. This way if Rafa wins, we won’t get as much of the disrespect that people enjoy throwing at Rafa.

    • @TahmidSalehTennisForum
      @TahmidSalehTennisForum  4 года назад +1

      Not sure if this is directed towards myself but Novaks path for me was the easiest route to the final by far which I said in the draw video.. Whereas Rafas has opened up.. And with very little match practice and Thiem looking good I think that's where the topic came about.. And I agree with you about putting things into perspective.. Hopefully didn't come across as unfair or disrespectful towards Rafa

    • @LeadfootLou

      Tahmid Saleh Tennis Forum - You’re as fair as they come Tahmid. Nevertheless Rafa is a clay court player with lots of success. The media can’t relate to this because they see clay court tennis as a “lesser” form of tennis. Like I’ve said many times, Rafa’s lack of English skills makes it easy for the media to ridicule him. There are many ways of looking at things. The media chooses the narrative that supports their way of thinking.
