Thanks mate, great video. I've done 2 beer brews so far (currently got a cider going). First was a basic kit, second a mangrove jacks with hops, both with dextrose. I actually thought the basic kit tasted better so next I think I'll try a basic kit with liquid malt and see how that turns out 🙂

Thanks Graeme, Appreciate the comment. What was the second kit that you did with hops? Agree - the basic kits produce great brews. I'm drinking another one tonight that was also done on dextrose and has come out much better than the Cech Pils. I think a lot of it comes down to preference and also what is suited to the underlying kit.

@@graemeglasgow4596 It's a good kit. Black Rock have a kit recipe for a New England Neipa online which I'm keen to try. We've also just put the Black Rock Pale Ale on special on our site if you're looking for another kit.

    Hi,
Would love to have seen the first kit done with a premium yeast instead of the kit yeast. It might have made a difference.

Both brews were done with the same kit - The Mangrove Jacks Czech Pils. On the taste test I don't think the yeast made the difference (although it has in other brews). For me it came down to the additional ingredient for fermentation.
