Finally someone posted a video of the same model I have!
Somehow my opening mechanism works when totally dry. So in winter it's even pretty reliable. Just got it working today after a lot of unfruitful fiddling around and it stopped working right when it got wet.
Thank you so much for the tips.

it is possible to swap from the key handle to the keyless handle. i did it on my polo you just have to remove the key barrel and cut the brown and white wire. that used to tell the car that the key was being used to open the boot.

Is that all you have to do. I wanna do a conversion on my polo aswell but don't know where to start.
Can you explain in detail how you did it and how you got it to work. Is there any coding involved?

@@chadstokes6961 no coding involved just remove the lock from the barrel so it is no longer sticking out into the way of the keyless boot handle all the original linkages stay in place. and you simply cut the midle wire of the 3 pin connector. its quite stright forward did this a year or so ago so i cant remember all the details hope this helps

Do you have the part number for this switch. It seems almost impossible to get it in Norway.

Would be nice to actually see how you take the micro switch out cos you kinda skipped over that bit. I pressed both clips and it won't budge

Did you ever find the micro switch? I'm trying to find mine. I know you commented 2 years ago but I'm lost

@@Maxibtheog Think you must have another model. This was for models between 2007 - 2009 only.
