Wow! Played with the right feel in all the right places.(Rare) Your dynamics give the mood and cadence of the original for sure. For a first stab, to the listener, its a keeper! The mute gave it a "solo performance vibe" .Well done!
Thank everyone, I've been trying to get back on YT, just been covered up with work and gigs. I appreciate the positive comments! This was a very late night, first stab version so not the cleanest keeper.
Hey John. Glad to see you back on here. Sounding great!!! Thanks for sharing. I've played many a gig since we last talked and you worked my Deering and Artist but they still ring true. Remember if you're down around my way(90 miles south) I'd still like to catch your show.
Wade, hey man good to hear from you! I'm glad those banjos are still doing their job and that you are gigging a lot. Where are you again, in Upstate SC?
Welcome back! I’m a big fan of your channel, and although I’m nowhere near through your existing lessons, I’m encouraged that there may be more. If I may, I’d like to put in a request. I’m having trouble creating a lesson plan for myself. It feels like my areas of practice are all over the place, and I’m not sure if I’m a much better player by the end of the week or month. Sure, I can play a melodic scale better, but I’m having trouble putting all the pieces together, songs, licks, chords, scales. What advice do you have for structuring banjo practice over long periods of time?
Ryan, thanks, good to be back on YT. Practices should ideally be focused on achieving progress on goals. You should make a lesson plan that is based on where you are, in your goals, and where you want to be. I would spread out practices with some on theory application, metronome/drum track, melodies, BACKUP/comping, scales/modes, freeform improving, etc.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked my banjo cover! The tuning is standard G but sorry I haven't tabbed this out. I seldom use tab and this is just an off the cuff cover. Use the slow down feature on the video menu and you'll figure it out.
Thank you john for this magnificent piece of music! Almost made my stick stand😅
Ur what WHAT

Do you have a music sheet for it? I really want to learn it on my banjo😅
Unfortunately no, I very seldom use any notation. This was just played off the cuff
Nice to see you post, you’re one of the reasons that I suck slightly less on banjo.
hey, lets hope we ALL suck less in our playing, haha.

This sounds amazing, I am curious if you have any tabs and tuning on this, because personally I would love to learn how to lay this on my banjo
