      Thanks for making a Sprinter suspension that matches the off road industry standards! :)

    I find the wind still pushes me off the road. Could just be my bad luck and driving everywhere it is really windy, like from LV to LA. :) Great video. Thank you.

      Sorry to hear that, is your van fully built out (has added weight)? I drove through a wind storm a few times, you still feel the wind but it definitely doesn’t push me off the road like it used to. Before the suspension, I had to slow down to 45mph to be safe. 2 weeks ago, I drove through 70mph wind while going to Bear’s ears NP and I kept my speed on the highway. It helps a lot to be loaded with weight and not top heavy. :)

      Thanks for watching! 👍 I’ve had AO for 4 years now, If you have questions regarding which upgrade on the RIP kit is worth it, let me know! :)

    those waves on dirt roads are called "washboards" and are very common on dirt roads. the main cause for these are from road graders.

      Thanks! French is my native language so I couldn’t remember what those were called :)

    One of the negatives I have read is that you lose half of the shocks down travel with the RIP kit. Have you experienced any issues?

    • @gearforexperiences
      @gearforexperiences  2 года назад

      I haven’t noticed this issue but I also never measured down travel. I know that the overall travel has increased because factory it has spacers and the RIP replaces those spacers with longer spring. It would be interesting to measure though :)

    Does your Van have sliding doors on both sides?
    My RIP kit now has 40k on it and still going strong.

      Only on one side. Nice to hear that after 40k you had no issues! No squeaking from the leafs pack? That tends to happen with many leaf suspension over time. Thanks for watching! :)

      @@gearforexperiences Just did 6 days at Anza Borrego. Put the suspension to the test. Still working great and the folks at Agile are the “BEST”.

    Which leaf spring weight did you go with?

    • @gearforexperiences
      @gearforexperiences  Год назад +1

      Thanks for watching! I had my rear axle CAT scale weighted and my rear was 4000lbs. You’re supposed to pick the leaf pack that’s within 300lbs of your vans weight. So I went with the 4200lbs leaf springs, knowing I would add a little more weight later on. You don’t want to be oversprung, so building the Van before the suspension is a good place to start. 👍
