Cleaning out some of the shitposts off my hard drive now that I've got more free time. There's a lot to cover in on this video. Very long rant comment inbound. Read only if you're interested in what it took to make the video.
First thing I'll address. The Raiders fire their weapons in full-auto once the gunfight pops off, and it was my intention to fake them firing in semi-auto by adding single shots to each instance of a muzzle discharge, which happens only a few times per spray, this, however, did not work out, as their animations and shell discharges created a dissonance between the sound and the visuals, so in the end I had to shrug and move on.
Sound design overall took me about 3 days. Which was made easier by leaning more into some of the in-game sounds. Shooting it took a long long time.
The rapid fire checkpoint system meant that I was constantly restarting the mission in order to capture certain events, some of which were very difficult to recreate, even things you think would just be script reliant.
Filming the men walking around while you're behind them means that they are at a walking speed, but if you're in front of them, they either move at a brisker pace, or go into a full-on sprint. The gunfight was especially difficult to film, as very little was able to be recreated, and if I reloaded the entire mission, it meant that there were different enemies spawning in place of others, so the same guy rarely spawned in the same place twice, meaning the maintenance of continuity was in God's hands. This isn't of course taking into account the fact that I had to film it while trying not to get shot. This is easier on the lowest difficulty obviously, but that means you risk seeing friendly name tags on screen occasionally. This didn't actually happen that often, but it did get in the way of some otherwise good shots. There's also the matter of the grenade indicator, which did trash a ton of shots I had. For some reason, the enemies on the other side of the trains are far more likely to continuously throw grenades at you. So, I'll be securing a nice shot and then a big red icon shows up on my screen. I'd go to realistic mode if it weren't for the fact that the area I was in was sighted by the machinegun 24/7. Which was another issue, btw. Getting shot by it is trouble enough, but keeping lighting continuity is another task to throw into the pile. I could have two similar shots of a dude running up to cover, but one will have him spotlighted by the gun, and another won't, so those two shots can't go together. Overall, it's obviously using the in-game systems very-much NOT for their intended use. Either way, despite all that said, it was still pretty doable by the end.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
Hope you enjoyed the video, guys. I'm gonna go play DOOM: Eternal for a little while.
So what you're saying is you filmed this in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare?
I'm shocked
Well done dude, very impressive, especially after hearing the hell you went through to get it done...
Speaking of hell, Doom: Eternal Cinematic when???
Yes doom eternal is the game to relax to after some stressful times
If there are cinematic tools in Doom eternal, I may consider it.
Thanks for giving us this, enjoy your Eternal binge, Evan.
seriously, your cinematics are incredible.
CoD's Graphics have come a long way...
couple it with amazing Cinematography... ohhh lawdy I need some Popcorn
This is coming from a massive Halo fan
@@navb0tactual halo ftwe
He actually animated these??
@@cupcakemcsparklebutt9051 no, he used Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019's theater mode to make these guys do what he wants... although he most went with one of the campaign mission to use as a template...
Am I getting Woooshed?
@@navb0tactual nah probably not, but the way he can use theatre mode makes it look real.
2:35 Don't you just love it how their flashlights magically turn themselves off when they die?
Yeah we made jokes about that early on. Shot looks cool, but it makes no sense.
Maybe they broke when the person fell on top of it, or it is facing towards the ground.
Or maybe the bullet shot the flashlight.
Maybe its some sort of tactical flashlight that has a button that you need to hold on to to keep it on, not sure if thats a real thing though

"All the characters have become my new sleep paralysis demons." Must be one hell of a tactical nightmare wouldn't it?
Lmao would be pretty loud
It wouldn't be sleep paralysis because they would kill you before you could wake up.
I think you mean wet dream
it would be a very tactiCOOL dream
PTSD without going to war be like:
The sound design was on point wow - sounded incredible on my studio headphones x_x
It sounded incredible on my phone too
He used audio from Escape from Tarkov with a suppressed weapon for the Marine’s M4A1 and modified it to blend better into the environment.
@@noodles5438 ooh really? I play EFT gonna watch again and see if I can recognise the sounds :P
weird flex but okay

One AI solider detects you 3:58
You going to do the wolf’s den?
I considered it, but in the end I think it would be too similar to Clean House, tbh.
Evan Royalty Just make sure to keep you creative vision sharp.
@@EvanRoyalty How about Piccadilly then?
Evan Royalty you should just do every mission and combine them together
Now, a year later, we take for granted how good this game looks.
Indeed
I've played this campaign so many times on realism difficulty that I've started to clear rooms in my house with my phone
Lmao
Bro just buy a gun and do drills if a robber comes in they are screwed
Or a nerf gun
Absolutely well done!
It still bugs me how they used White Phosphorus for that airstrike and dropping in so close to the facility like they're begging to have a welcoming party
Ikr?? And you might think the striking team would use at least a respirator, entering in unknown territory where you dunno what might been ignited after the bombing.
4 mins and 39 seconds is how long it took me to realize this was a game
Lmao I thought it was real also
This is my favorite cinematic ever. Thank you for the time and dedication you put into making this masterpiece. Truly underrated.
The fact that the first mission is called Fog of War really sets the tone for the game
After replaying this mission 500 times for this video, all the characters have since become my new sleep paralysis demons.

Damn, this was cool! The cinematic and the music made the mission kinda eerie and spooky near the end.
Absolutely brilliant! This huge work transmits what the campaign feels like while you're playing it. Love it!
@2:33 as little sense as it makes, the flashlights going out with these surgical killshots is just such a pleasure to watch.
That was like if the CoD cut scene people made a movie, I did enjoyed watching the short film
Yeah movie fog of war is better than game
Wow! This is insane! It looks like as if you're using cinematic tools, so seamless. I can't even think of how much effort it must have taken you to capture the footage. Amazing work!
Every shot for room-clearing at 3:32 had as few as 12 takes to as high as 24, simply because each shot had to be perfectly timed to the action, and getting decent cinematography inside that space was almost impossible, especially shots that were in front of the characters.
@@EvanRoyalty I have huge respect for you to achieve this. And it looks and sounds so damn good. All that work did pay off!
The editing and sound mixing reminds me of Sicario. Well done.
Holy goodness I haven't seen the gameplay of MW and for a second I thought this was some new game trailer and how did COD dive into Milsim. The perefect NVG vision and the gunsounds with ambient atmosphere. This guy is a genius.
BRo mad respect dude, i tried this once and it was fucking painful. But the sound design is just amazing. Perfection.
1:23 how it feels to chew 5 gum
That would actually be a great 5 gum commercial
It always amazes me, how you are able to potray these missions in a complete new light. Keep going, you are one of the most entertaining and creative youtubers one can see. Especially your SCP videos are probably one of the best videos to exist on this site.
Its the little interactions with the minor squadmates that made me like MW2. You felt connected to the supporting characters. I just wish this game capitalized more on that.
Amazing sound design! The shots off the silencers sound amazing, unlike the unrealistic pew you hear most often. Amazing job!
C-can we have cinematics for the whole damn game? This is cool!
I respect the time and effort put into this you blew the finished product out of the park. Love the video and keep up the great work.
If only the entire campaign was like this
Ok you are definitely on a whole different level, then RUclips.
This type of stuff is so hard to do. Since there is no way for him to go into the game and but the camera where ever he wanted for the shots. All of these recorded shots were done by him playing as his character, menacing that he needed to restart the level so many times to get the perfect shot from the fps perspective of his character.
Love these cinematics especially the scp ones keep them coming!
This game was like a movie, and now you make it more movie.
It's always the music that gets me, once again nice work Evan!
Frick yeah! I am going to also suggest an Escape From Tarkov cinematic. I think it would be amazing!
FordPower5288 that would be kinda hard, since there isn’t any offline mode
Those gun fire noises were so realistic. Good job my guy.
When you accidentally have friendly fire on
I love the meaty pops from the suppressed ARs. Much better than the barely audible thwip sounds from the game
please do the wolf’s den.. it will be incredible just like all your small movies.
sounded like legit movie theater bass, love it
2:32 the coordinated four shots is fucking sick.
Can you do the Piccadilly Circus mission in cinematic that would been so cool.
i'd like that
Thatd be a nightmare to film with all the angles you can get shot from
Firefly
Yes
This is how we all dreamed of playing because none of us are that good
I love the MW cinematics, makes the game more realistic as I played it myself
Bro, i followed i followed i say i fucking followed.. this is ten thousand times better than their own shows bro. Best of the best man
how do you achieve this though? (is it mod or what?)
No mod, he is just incredible good in filming and editing
You have no ieda how much the realistic supressor volume/sound for that calibre pleases me
This is AWESOME, especially sound, you make it correct
0:56 they're gay drop em
Omg for a second i thought this was real life like actors and i said how the hell did they get the budget for this lol
That was Awesome. Real quality work and the fighting pace was excellent.
This was such an awesome mission. Wish the whole campaign was like this.
Bruh. If only IW actually want to make a Cod mw film. They should ask you to be the director. Good shit. Keep it going. I enjoy watching it very much!
Your channel has to be the first channel i've watched in a minute where I've decided to go ahead and turn the notifications on for. This is just too good to pass up.
THE ANIMATION IS INCREDIBLE!!!! 1000/10
2:34 I can watch that all day
Bro I love these! They’re so badass! You should do “Going Dark” I’m pretty sure you would absolutely slay that one, this video was beautiful

i like how the flashlights go out when they get shot
This guy gained way more respect, and i already have lots of respect for these people
This is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS, my goodness... I was literally watching some high-budget movie, masterclass of editing!
You did exceptionally well with this :)
extremely talented. well done g.
Hey have you ever considered using Arma 3 for your Machinimas, the scripting tools along with the literal thousands of mods may be a great way for you to tell stories with built in camera tools. I love what your doing, keep up the good work!
I've considered it, but it seems like such a pain in the ass. It's also just not that great looking and just runs horribly on my PC. Maybe one of these days, but don't count on it.
Bro keep up with this kinda vids bro, there all amazing and I love your work
AMAZING CAMERA WORK!
Amazing filmography mate
This was phenomenal. I cannot imagine the things you could do with Arma 3.
Arma 3's animations are ass so it'll look bad
@@rookeva8688 Are you sure? I have seen plenty of cinematics that beg to differ.
2:36 we not gonna talk ab how cool that was
Thank you, I watched every millisecond of it and give this video thumbs up.
110-21-4 is Biuria. It can generate toxic gases. But it can also be used in food production. Maybe that's why they say "the fog of war"...
firstly this is amazing, secondly why isnt the entire game filmed like this? and lastly that really was amazing.
Meu Deus esse vídeo foi simplesmente incrível, cara eu não sei como vocês fazem pra fazer esses ângulos de câmera mas é perfeito fica parecendo cena de filme mesmo, excelente vídeo.
Majestic asf. Hope you do one of these for Picadilly next
Your story telling through editing is amazing! I want a Doom visual
This channel is very underrated
I dont usually like fan made stuff but this was really good
This is so good! Transitions, action, everything!
These are the kind of suspens and action i like
1:29 Cluster Bombs Are Banned By The Geneva Convention But As We All Know Its More Like Geneva Suggestion
Except those aren't cluster bombs. They're White Phosphorus bombs.
Love these cinematic shots and I understand how hard it is to create this type of stuff. Only criticism with it is the shaky cam and so much cuts.
this deserves so much more views...
Dude, this is awesome! My eyes have been blessed, and that hasn’t happened in a long time. You are talented as hell.
Sick dude! You're a stellar creator!
Looked really dope, Would love to see one on Clean House.
He already did a Clean House one. That was his First CoD Cinematic this is his second one.
i enjoyed this. thank u very much.
With cinematic like this, this game is ready to be a movie
Your work is incredible! 100.000 👍🏻 from here 🤩
This is F**king awesome dude!
Very well done I love this mission.
these are so god damn good. i hope u keep making them!
Wow, I didn't even imagine how many hours did this took to you man. You incredible!
This deserves way more views
One of the only things I didn’t like about MW was the fact that your surrounded by these super badass operators that look incredibly real to life, yet the player is a movie star with great hair and no helmet lol.
Once again, Evan produces a masterpiece, you are truly amazing! Can't wait to see what else is to come!
That was impressive. Well done.
