Did something for fun in Modern Warfare. Most of it is just me in Realism Mode with my pistol out, trying my best to frame the action. with no free-cam, it meant I had to crop hard and use only half the screen in the ultra-wide aspect ratio, in some ways it was a pain, but in others it was fresh and enjoyable. More to come w/ this game, hopefully.

Between the editing and the actually pretty good graphics it's hard to tell this isn't real.
I loved all the SAS missions, they were great and had a very "Zero Dark Thirty"feel to them. they were the best part of the campaign.
the one thing i hated in this entire campaign was the battle with the Juggernaut at the end. the entire camaign was made to feel realistic, and then this battle. i really hated that part.

Hear me out fellas: Spec Ops replayable missions that is a randomized floor plan of Clean House. Playable in solo or cooperative, the replayable variant has 4 building types, multiple floor plans for each building, multiple enemy spawn locations, variable weapons for enemies to hold and multiple entry points that may/may not be booby trapped.
Static maps that come with a 1 through 3 Star difficulty / challenge rating; enemies can hide under beds, shoot through doors upon hearing you move, wear suicide vests, have hostages; time limits, accuracy bonuses, hostages lost/rescued, enemies eliminated, lives lost/damage taken.
Static maps would give calling cards for completion of the hardest difficulties.

So essentially R6 / Siege. Either way, sounds like a winning formula to me...

My favorite mission. Even the though the fake hostage killed me with her shotgun.
I’ve been through a lot a lot a lot of CQB and active shooter training and this was legit like any kill house I’ve done with hostages going for guns, hostages going for nothing, people flagging you down. Even down to someone going for a bomb.
This mission is 100% as real as it gets
Just do it the spetsnaz way: 10 hostages, 5 terrorists, 15 body bags, mission accomplished!

Clearly dead isn't as clear as you'd think. There are plenty of WWII stories about guys declared dead sitting up and asking where the hell they are. A glance isn't enough even when it seems like it is.

Being a police officer the movement and room to room clear is on point, the only thing off is the player. The detail that got me is that the guys are always looking in the right direction and waiting for you at the back of the line to move upstairs. Is s very elegant and exquisite portrait of a special operations strike force in many countries.
This is insane. If you told me 6 months ago that this was a leaked clip from the sequel to Zero Dark Thirty, I would absolutely believe you.
I miss the days of real single player games. With stories that are deep and enveloping. These days games that used to have these aspects are money maker multiplayers with a campaign attached because they have to be. It’s just so disheartening man.

Bought Black Ops Cold War. Tryarch is so intent on the multiplayer, they leave the campaign to be downloaded, but you can't delete Warzone. Fucking STUPID.

So tense, most horror games can't get that amount of tenseness, especially when watching a video, but this is great

I think this is a great demonstration of how a video game with motion capped animation "on rails" can be used for a camera directing exercise.
I honest-to-goodness thought this was a real-life recreation of the mission for the first minute and a half. Holy hell.
When the EU government finds out you've been posting memes
The level is so small that they could achieve at times what feels like CGI. All of the systems introduced to the engine since Advanced Warfare have been combined in the best way possible and improved significantly. All that with huge improvements to texture rendering and amount of geometry possible on screen, and all of the sounds really make it seem like at least a fairly low budget, yet extremely high quality CGI film.
Not to glorify violence but that was absolutely incredible. The mission itself is brilliant and immersive but with that editing of perspective is as good as ANY high budget building siege / room clearing movie set piece. Bravo!
Fun fact: if you have an NVIDIA GTX/RTX card, you can access "ansel", which allows you to enter a photo mode and hover a short distance around the game world in MW's campaign, short being like 2-3 feet from character, it's pretty cool and is also accessable in CW
One of the saddest things I've seen in this game (Or any CoD for that matter) was when someone I was watching killed the Mom of the crying baby in this mission, and you see the SAS guy pick her up from the mothers dead body, and lay her down in the crib gently. As a new Father, that one got me...just a mere few months ago I'd have never given it a second thought.

The reason we all love this, is because of how you are forced to move in this mission, check this room, hold your fire, only shoot as the combatant picks up a weapon.

The cuts between cinematic and first persons shots looked really nice and clean, I think experimenting with audio to show how the characters were feeling would be worth a shot. 10/10 IGN

This mission is way better than the original Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare mission where the SAS is on the Cargo Ship in the Bering Strait. Because in this mission, it's all close encounters, you are in a tight space, and you have to always watch those corners.
Nice work Evan. This really makes you appreciate the sound design of the game. Its a shame that 'noclip' isn't available to the best of my knowledge yet. It would be great to see you revisit this with more freedom.
